Spot on with that first story. Being a newbie in Thailand this past December, the woman I was seeing left an expensive scarf at a restaurant/bar on Khas Son Road. I told her I would go check for it, not really expecting any luck. Got to the restaurant/bar and the staff had it to my surprise!

Safes are not Safe. I worked for a hotel. There is a master code. You can look it up online also. Anyone can get into a Safe. There are different ways. How do you think they can open up the Safe if you forget the code

My first trip to Thailand I hid my money in the top of the toilet in a water tight bag, just a tip for anyone worried about thieves. Just don't forget about it lol. Edit : the second trip I kept it in many random places, if you are creative enough they won't find it.

I think it happens a lot more than people want to believe. A guy in the Philippines knew someone who was married 6 years, thought things were going great until the woman flipped the switch and said get out of the house you built. Devastated. Hope for the best but beware.

All Thai women like to be with Farang for money... but it always depends where you meet a Thai woman. Don't expect that women you meet in Night Clubs and Bars are honestly will love you and don't cheat you. It's their job to get as much as possible out of you. I still wonder why western men belive that 20-30 yrs younger Thai Girls will love them... they just love your money as long money flows. Go for Thai women close to your age max. 10 yrs younger.

Only the 5th story was really interesting but you commented how the guy can sleep thinkiNg his girl is servicing many guys, but surely most of these guys who marry bar girls also should realise that this is what their girl was doing before he met her. The guy in story 3 was a real mug spending so much money. I must admit that between marriages in the early 90's I was with about 30 girls, never breaking the 3 day rule or more like the 2 day rule in my case. Only one girl lasted one week but with all these girls I never bought any gifts or gave any extra money

Unfortunately this is all to coming in the USA also. Generally, you can (usually) find out the true intent of someone you want to marry by getting her to sign the prenup. This Thai woman definitely played the long game. Wow, a good reminder and why I listen to your channel.

happened to me too. No prenup. & now I don't see my daughters either. Retired in Thailand, can't afford to live in the UK any more. She has a nice house in London & a nice rice farm in Issaan. The NHS is fixing her ongoing medical problems & she'll be getting a state pension when she's older.....and still she's not happy.

I’ve been here nearly 7 months now (Koh Samui) and I’ve learnt so much about how the Thais are. Never felt so safe anywhere. Yeh the working girls will try and extract your cash in Pattaya Bangkok etc but generally the Thais are such honest people it’s unbelievable. I came home from the gym a few weeks ago I was absolutely dying for a pee. I rushed inside and a few hours later when I went to go out again I realised I had lost my motorbike keys. After searching the place for 10 minutes I went outside and there they were still in the ignition 😂 I’ve noticed a lot of the Thais just leave them in the ignition anyway when they leave their bikes parked up!

The guy who worked out at the gym for 18th months to get a good physique just to go there to get hook ups paid or not is hilarious 😂 the women wouldn’t care if the guy was pot bellied routound bald skinny or in his 70s as long as he could pay for all the fun or had plenty of money in his bank accounts if he intends to marry one 😂

High alert is a requirement, always. Someone pointed out even if a guy (could be a woman also) was broke at time of marriage, it's his future earnings he should also think about when insisting on prenuptial agreement. Un-romantic I know.

I'll write you a story about my life in Mexico 1 day but just summarize. I had a girlfriend in a bar over in Tijuana and I met another girl turns out they knew each other and the 2 girls fight over me and they were literally fist fight and the other girl got mad because I was stolen away from her by someone else. So yeah there's a lot of jealousy even in places like mexico everywhere where you have the bar girp culture

@@ThailandBound Never did since they aren’t safe. Many videos reveals the “secret” code used when guests forget their code. 100% of the cleaners also know this code. Better to have a hidden camera with proof of stealing, why not place it in the “safe”. 😂

Yes I totally agree with you on many occasions you will see on my live streams I've stated that the majority of Thai women are both decent and respectable. I've also pointed out that when guys try to get into a relationship with somebody who works in a bar for money it's normally going to turn out not very good for the guy. But as you said there are two sides to every story and a lot of the guys are just as bad there will be married telling their wives they're single they will make false promises to girls giving them hope. I don't judge I just find this stories interesting so figure others will and I read them out on my channel obviously personally I love Thailand or I wouldn't be living here. Thanks for your comment it's always good to get a woman's point of view and even better a Thai woman.

From my experience with hotel safes. I’m guessing most are easy to break into. I’ve watched it done to when the safe in my hotel room failed to work. I’ll keep how it is done a secret.

Haha! So many similarities with my first experience there. She was great the first 3 days we met, the next time she was constantly on her phone. And this one isn’t even a bar girl! Just a normal Thai woman who speaks lots of English, has lots of foreign male friends, follows many dudes on Instagram and hides or flips her phone when I walked by. So it’s not just bar girls that have figured out how to finesse farang. In my situation though I went in assuming any woman I met would try to work me, so the only money I gave was less than professional girlfriends charge. Turns out she did way more work for me than she would with some rando old guy. I’m going back and look forward to another experience like this, you get way more for your dollar this way. (24 hours of food, cleaning, massages , aerobics for less than 900 baht a day) Try to find that deal in Colombia 😅

Best way to store money in a hotel is to hide it. There are master pin numbers on most of the hotel safe and most of the staff knows about them.

I'm afraid that is a very risky thing to do. Bargirls can find money anywhere in a hotel room. I've seen it and I've heard about it. They look in air vents behind toilet, under the mattress, everywhere. You're better off using the safe. I have been using hotel safes in Thailand for 30 years plus I've never had an issue. Most of the time when a girl has been able to get into a guy safe, it's because he put his valuables in there when he was drunk. The girl was looking over his shoulder and seen the number, waited until he was asleep and then opened a safe and left the room.

@@Mike11219USA Most places don't even know how to reset the master code. You just look it up online for that model. You will be surprised at how easy most can be opened. If it has a manual lock as a backup, its even more vulnerable.

As I said in the last comment, I've been using these hotel safes for over 30 years and never had a problem. I think a lot of it boils down to people being paranoid.

@@ThailandBound At the minimum, try pressing the pound key twice (or labeled as "lock"). This usually puts the safe in admin mode. The default combo is usually "000000" or "999999". You will be surprised at how many will open up. If it opens, don't store your valuables in it. It's a very well known hack.

The hotel staff would have attended the room with a passkey to let her in, as they would have known she was staying there, being registered at the hotel

@@ThailandBound My first week in Thailand, my passport book fell out of my pocket in a Bangkok taxi. I had my passport, credit cards, and 25,000 baht in it. The worse part it was a taxi I flagged down. It wasn't Bolt or Grab. I got the taxi license plate from the security camera at my condo. I contacted the Thai police. The taxi driver had already turned in my passport at a police station 10k away. I took a taxi to the police station. Everything was still in my passport book. All my credit cards and 25k baht were still there. The only thing I was sad about is that I didn't have a chance to thank the taxi driver and give him some money. The Thai people as a whole, I find to be very honest hard working people.

Can't believe your up to volume #243. The bag thing reminds me of a story from my youth (not a Thai one). I was in a club and I saw a girl I knew with her mates so I wandered over to have a chat. Suddenly a song they liked came on and they got up to dance 'just look after the bags'. They were gone before I even had a chance to argue the concept. I didn't know 4 of them and the girl I did know had been a 1 night stand from months previously. After 10 minutes I was getting bored, after 15 I had finished my drink. After about 25 I decided they were taking the piss and went off to get a drink. Of course they got robbed blind. I did feel bad for them and of course they complete blamed me. Not that it really mattered because I never saw any of them again.

What you've got to remember is the majority of Thai women are respectable decent girls most of these stories relate to guys who have dated or married girls who have worked in the adult entertainment Industries in Thailand. You can meet really nice Thai girls just don't try to make a girl who works in a bar your wife and when I say bar I don't mean a regular bar like in the west a beer bar here in Thailand or a go-go bar

Why was the guy surprised that her name wasn’t the same as on her ID lol I don’t think I’ve met a Thai girl yet who doesn’t use a completely random nickname. I’ve heard their parents give them nicknames sometimes don’t know how true it is? But often Thai names can be long and difficult to spell or pronounce so they use a short nickname

Generally speaking they are honest - I've only had two negative experiences from years ago - left a shoulder bag in a restaurant/bar in Soi rambuttri - phone, cash, prescription glasses but luckily no passport. Woke up early next morning, realised what had happened, went straight to the establishment and no luck. I'm sure they saw me walking out without it. The second experience was on the big blue bus travelling from Hua Hin to BKK. My daughter made the mistake of leaving her hand bag in the baggage area (with the suitcases) under the bus. It's true - people hide under the bus and will go through bags. Thai women are skilled at spending someone else's money, as if they had earned it themselves. They will often say "why are you spending money on that?" When I've stayed with them in very nice hotels they treat it and the hotel staff like they live like this all the time- the reality is, their home is often a single room with three mattresses on the floor and maybe a gas cooker in the corner.

I don't know where you are getting your information from but it is completely wrong! I offer a consultation service whereupon I discuss matters one-on-one with people for up to an hour or more for a small fee, do you expect me to do that for nothing? Is your time free? I've never said to anybody Pay me money or I won't answer your question" that is utter rubbish! If the guy you mentioned is so broke what's he doing buying airline tickets and paying for hotel rooms in Thailand??? Sounds more like a cheap Charlie to me who wants something for nothing!

It would take hours to answer a set of questions properly in writing. Far quicker and easier to talk about the same matters in a video call and Peter offers that service. This whole channel appears to be a labour of love for him, and we're grateful to him for doing it! I can't imagine that the income makes up for all the hours he obviously puts in. Your first comment is very uncharitable and extremely cynical. I'm glad to see you seem to have understand the situation later on.

Hi Peter, I have travelled extensively in Thailand and always felt safe and never a theft problem. However it makes me wonder why just about every hotel room has a safe which you’re advised to use and every hotel has someone to watch over your vehicle at night. Add to that any visitors to your hotel may have to leave their ID. Are we a little naive? Are things riskier than we realise?

I don't think that it was sickening at all! He knew there was something going on and wanted to get to the bottom of it. Any normal man would investigate if he thought there was something going on with his wife, the fact that he didn't speak her language shows initiative to record and have the conversations translated.
