Learn how to draw and paint a Holiday Gnome. Step by step drawing and painting. Also learn to mix skin tones and light grays from a limited palette of red, yellow, blue and green.
First time you’re in my feed. I very much enjoyed watching and painting with you. Love the step by step. Very generous of you. This is such a cute creation…just may have to make more than one since I think I can get it done quicker then others (meaning Christmas cards) and it’s adorable. Thanks so much
Hi Shana! I just found your channel and you are an excellent teacher. You explain things thoroughly! I will love looking through your videos. I have been making my own Greeting cards for years so your tutorials will help a lot.
Hi Shana. I’m just picking up my brushes again after 30-40 years (and I was pretty awful back then). I just found your videos and felt inspired to use your gnomes tutorial as my entry back into it. My first effort was great fun, and I was also pretty happy with the outcome. Thank you so much for helping me to stop prevaricating and actually picking up a brush. I wish I could have posted you a picture of it 😊
Hi Graham! That’s wonderful. Welcome back to watercolor. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. If you have Facebook, you can find the group called Umbrella Arts Academy with Shana Circe. There you can share your pieces with us.
@@Skinnychelle48 good question. I started with Canson XL (pulp based paper) 140lb cold press. I used that for about 6 months before I moved on to Cotton papers. I’ve used Bee watercolor paper, which you can get in 50 pks. of 9x6 sheets. I use that a lot with my students. That’s 100% cotton. Highly recommend cotton papers if you can get them. There’s also Fabriano Artistico and strathmore 400 series.
