This is a simple holiday resin tumbler DIY with sparkly gold, red, and white. I did this as a 2 for 1 project with a beautiful resin tray :)

This is so pretty. My granddaughter took me out to Dollar Tree Saturday. I picked up a few various glass pieces to work on for Christmas gifts if they turn out okay, lol. I am still trying to recoup from the day out but it was so worth it. Thank you for sharing hon. Thank you for everything.

I was in my Dollar Tree yesterday and saw they had a tumbler turning machine for $5. Didn’t buy it cause didn’t know if it would actually do the job 🤷🏼‍♀️ kind of leery of the cheap stuff working correctly 😉

I tried to do this yesterday. Wasn’t a horrible failure but not great either. Can I ask a couple of questions. How do you know how many ml of epoxy you need for the tray? The top is my tray has a sharp lip from the side of the mold. How do I resolve that. I haven’t added clear yet and the mold wasn’t full to the very top. I used white in between every color. Should I just do it after each set of colors? Do you need to use heat on the tumbler for bubbles? I know not the tray :-). I really appreciate any help. Your work is so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing.

Love how yours turned out very beautiful and thank you for answering my question uneven table and had a little bump on the bottom of one of my cups and it’s has dried that way is there anything I can do now that it’s dry

Yes, I seal the tumblers with a clear coat of the resin so it's food safe

To start with, did your tumbler come as a base of white? Or did you lay down the white base first? If I had a silver based tumbler, would I need to give it a white base before I start?

I spray painted it with matte white paint and primer. You can paint a silver tumbler, but resin is transparent so it will show through and affect your color

I have two questions for you. What clear coat do you use? Is it just a clear resin? The other question is I have a metal cup, should I spray paint it before starting the dirty pour? I am a complete newbie to this, sorry for my beginner questions.
