#hollandamerica #eurodam Holland America Eurodam Pinnacle Grill Steakhouse Dinner Service May 1st 2023 Seven Day Alaska Cruise Round Trip Seattle Washington.
Window seat, very nice. Had 20th Wedding Anniversary/Wife's 50th Birthday Celebration there. She had foods she had never had before. Lobster, which I never knew, caviar which I knew. We stuffed ourselves. Had a great time.
Thanks for another great video guys. The more I watch your videos of HAL, the more I think that I will need to try them as an alternative to Princess when I am able to cruise again. 😀
In addition to the crab cakes, we had the lobster bisque and it was the best one ever. I had the ribeye and hubby had the fillet. we were both quite pleased with the quality and taste.
I'm going to pick on you 2 again. Crabcackes were not "jumbo lump" but stringy claw meat. Jumbo farmed shrimp cocktail was just average. Bacon was a novelty. The 15oz Delmonico was perfecty cooked and the best part of the meal. I had a baked potato with my steak along with butter and sour cream. Rotterdam 4.7.24.
Interestingly, I thought Scottie was probably a little picky bc he always made a face re much if the food and I heard HAL had pretty good food especially compared to others but after several days on board I would say none of the food has been great, it’s all ok but far for all that good. 3 stars so again not bad but I keep searching for something better. Crowds and congestion a lido is high and MD has also been so so. Not complaining overall I’m fairly happy all in.
We Really Enjoyed The Tamarind And Nami Sushi Onboard The Eurodam. Our Cruise Didn’t Seem To Be That Full Granted That Was Last Year. We Have 4 More HAL Cruises Booked Next Year. Thank You For Letting Us Know About Your Experience.
I have to agree that HAL sauces and soups almost always overtly salted. I have mentioned it to HAL many times that the chef needed to check the sauces and soups in the warmer every two hours because water evaporated made the sauces and soups saltier than it’s intended to be.
Just went to Pinnacle on N Statendam in sept.. the rib eye was full of fat.. my wife had to take it back. The crab cakes were on the menu as "jumbo Lump" they were not jumbo or lump.. just some shredded crab in a deep fried ball... very sad... bread was stale and service was horribly slow.. we didnt even stay for dessert .. waste of $$$
That Is Too Bad You Had A negative Experience Hopefully That Was Just A One Off Experience. We Have Only Cruised One Time With HAL And 25 Times With Princess. We Have Two More Cruises Booked With Princess And Two With HAL. We Have had Several Good As Well As Not So Good Meals. Hopefully Your Next Time Will Be A Better Experience. Thank You So Much For Watching.
I never get tired of the Pinnacle Grill. My only suggestion for them is to have a rotating feature dish. The menu has been exactly the same for many years now.
The Crown Grill On Princess Has Been The Same For Years As Well. We Do Wish The Crown Grill Was Open For Lunch Like The Pinnacle Grill. Thank You For Watching Carey.
We Love Both As Well. This Has Been Really Nice to Try A Different Cruise Line. I Definitely See More HAL Cruises In Our Future. Thank You For Watching And Commenting
My Food Review, of Your Food Review. 1st). - as a food reviewer I want to see you order for 2 categories: what you need to try for your channel - and what you Want to eat as a part of your meal. For instance, as an appetizer, I would order the Steak Tartar just for me. But for my viewers I would have to order the Wedge Salad, the Lobster Bisque, and regrettably the Crab Cakes (because crab cakes are just patties of pan-fried seafood salad little better than tuna salad, every time). But these dishes are what people want to know about. For my own meal I would order the Delmonico, because it's dry-aged. But my viewers want to see me try the Tomahawk Rib Eye for two, and the Lobster Tail. Well, lobster tails suck at sea, because they are frozen and old and recooked until they are like fish-leather. Only numbskulls from the stix order them on a cruise. But, I'd have to review them anyway, for my viewers from the sticks. As far as sides go, I would order, for me, the creamed spinach, the beets with blue cheese, and the mashed potatoes. But what my viewers really want to see is a review of the Asparagus with Hollandaise, and the upcharged Lobster Mac & Cheese.
We Had A Great View. We Have Noticed That Onboard The Eurodam There Are A lot Of Areas With Outstanding Views That are Noticeably Absent From Princess Royal Class Ships.Thank You For Watching And Commenting
I had heard of the Delmonico steak; however, I looked it up to see how it's different. The description makes me think that this was an average cut of meat. Seems the quality is not as good as a ribeye. My mom used to order from the butcher 2 1/2-inch pork chops. Now I do as it is so good. Just salt and pepper and cooked on medium low for 45 minutes. Your pork chop looks marvelous! Thanks for sharing your meal with us, it looked marvelous!
Your video was excellent. I really think Princess is starting to miss the mark with extra touches. They took away all the little extra touches they had pre-Covid like the little chocolates on the pillow, the blue tote bag on the bed on embarkation day, the pen and pad of paper on the desk. Also the upgraded bathroom amenities for elite. These were all minor but as I watch your video and others, I see other cruise lines are still adding an extra touch here and there. Those little chocolates you showed after dinner looked excellent and certainly not necessary but it’s the extra touch to show they appreciate having you aboard. All Princess has done is raised their prices and raised them again and oh…..they raised them again and still no extra touches to show their appreciation. On our 28 day cruise on Crown in March/April, I was so surprised there just weren’t any special touches to show their appreciation for sailing with them for a month. Your video series is just causing me to stop and think…….We should give Holland a try. I was really hoping by now that Princess would come around and start going back to their Pre-Covid ways but it doesn’t seem they will. Thank you so much for this wonderful video series. It really is showing a wonderful Holland experience.
Thank You So Much. Agreed Princess Needs To Try A Little Harder To Keep The Platinum And Elites Coming Back. We Do Appreciate The Little Extras. Thank You Again For Watching And Commenting
I’m noticing a trend on your HAL cruise….the music is overpowering in the restaurants. The food looked great. Thank you for both taking the time to enlighten us on life beyond Princess!
Yes The Background Music Was Very Loud In Certain Areas Including The Crow’s Nest. The Sound Person Onboard Needs to Make Some Adjustments 😀 We Did Let The Restaurant Manager About The Loud Background Takes Away From The Overall Enjoyment. Thank You For Watching And Commenting
This Is Our First Cruise With HAL And We Were Really Impressed. We Love Princess And Have Sailed With Her 23 Times. HAL Really Impressed Us And I Definitely See Us Sailing With Them Again. Thank You For Watching And Commenting
@@code4forlife that’s my hood lol if you wanna try a fancy restaurant you guys would love Animo in Sonoma but it’s almost cost a week cruise to eat there lol
