Thank you for another nicely done view of Holland America. You always present a quiet, calm, and appreciative demeanor. Both you and Scotty are pleasant even when giving your opinions! Thank you letting me join you for dinner! Happy travels, everyone!
Where was the Star Wars theme, after all May the 4th be with you. LOL. But seriously, another great video of a really good variety of food to be had from the evening buffet on HAL. Thanks guys, great job once again. I always look forward to your informative videos.
I am impressed with that buffet and what it includes...looks just delicious. Your table is so nice with that view. I think you really got nice weather compared to Allison and Gordon....I would have thought earlier would be more rain...guess not this year.
We Had Rain Only The First Few Days The Rest Of The Time We Had Beautiful Weather. Our Next Cruise Right After This One “Videos Coming Soon” We Had Beautiful Weather
My mom and I went the to the show “A City on the Sea” at the world stage. They said everything is baked fresh daily. And they have 140 cooks. And usually they have 2 pallets of sweets left over at the end of the cruise. They resupply in Seattle. Some of what they have on the ship is 1 ton of flour, 75 pounds of carrots, 100 pounds of onions, 160 pounds of bananas, 500 pounds of chicken, 50 pounds of coffee, 350 pounds of rice. And yes, the food was excellent.
We typically avoid the buffet because we hate the circus atmosphere, fighting for a table. You have us ready to try it, as long as we get there early. Thanks!
So glad you loved the buffet. I wanted to recommend the 14 day Holland Alaska cruise from Vancouver. We took this trip about 4 years ago, you get to see more ports including Homer, Anchorage and Kodiak. I don't think they offer that specific itinerary this year, but, I did notice it in 2024. The 14 Day they offer this year isn't as exotic and they don't sail directly into Anchorage. I would say take a look at the May 5, 2024 Itinerary, that is the one that is ideal.
@@code4forlife I just know that you would love extra ports that are unique to an Alaskan cruise. Holland is the only cruise line that actually cruises into the Port of Anchorage. All the others either go to Seward or Whittier. It's fun for a one day stop. Kodiak is totally unspoiled and non touristy. Homer is my childhood fave. So, I believe this itinerary is only listed once in 2024.
It looks great. I heard at the buffet they also have different ethnic offerings , such as Indian, Philippine, Indonesian etc. I like different varieties. Do you like this dinner buffet more then Crown Princess dinner buffet?
@@code4forlife lol. I promise. I’ve taken Princess years ago and I remember the food bland. It’s okay, I love returning to Alaska and Princess had a great itinerary. Have fun guys! Thanks
@@shelleylarose There Is Outdoor Seating At The Aft Part Of The Ship Just Past The Buffet As Well As Seating Midship Lido Just Forward Of The Buffet. Thank You So Much For Watching 😀
I love your videos, but this is not a good representation of the Lido food on Holland America. Disembarked Rotterdam on 4.13.2024. Food that should be hot was cold, food that should be cold was room temperature. The staff was always preoccuepied and untrained. Food in the dining room was even worse. The best meals I had on this ship was Pinnacle Grill and Tamarind!
Thank You For Letting Us Know About Your Rotterdam Experience . We Have HAL Cruises Booked On Koningsdam, Westerdam And Volendam For 2025 Looking Forward To Those Cruises.
