@@javiersalas1420 why? The only thing you get from vanishing them is loosing the grimmchild to another charm that functions on luck. And you miss the NKG bossfights wich is so good to play with in the endgame at godhome
@@richardmorgan3665 Some like me, cringe a bit when there is to much fan service. They should avoid making players roll their eyes. Having a moment where she strait up says "hah, get good, gamer swag 420 bruh." Would make my head roll, not just my eyes.
Damn! I remember going to fight against Radiance for the first time and when Hornet said "Get Good", I actually got so good that I accidentally defeat Radiance first try without taking any damage.
I know it’s not fully fleshed out, but it’s cool knowing that there is some sort of actual language system in Hollow Knight. You can tell from some words being used in multiple places with similar context, and how William specified how the word is actually pronounced.
Hey, did you delete your comment on Game Theory's Hollow Knight video or did they delete it? It was very sound and it's a shame it got deleted. I took a screenshot of the whole thing though.
Seems like it was caught by the spam filter. Here's a reddit link: www.reddit.com/r/HollowKnight/comments/ca9y61/game_theory_the_secret_identity_of_hollow_knights/et7dmbk/
There’s an Easter egg in dead cells where there is a campfire from dark souls, with the words “git Gud” scrawled on the wall. There’s also just a framed photo of the knight in a different area.
When I first fought this boss I thought she said "GET THROUGH!" As in, "get through to the dream world." I have never been able to hear anything else since.
If you listen to Hornet's full audio sequence, her pronunciation is "Gek-duu" with a hard "K" followed by "duu" like "Go do the laundry. It's just a happy coincidence that people hear it otherwise.
SPOILERS AHEAD: I always thought the intended sound was to mean something like "get going!" but it sounds like "git gud!"... both are perfect. Also, I finally just beat The Radiance last night after taking a... 2 year long break?.. I had beaten everything else except super nightmare grimm, the path of pain (which i got to the last part of and then my controller glitched and just walked me off the ledge until I fully died... almost broke my hand and it was a big part of why I took such a long break lol), and the flower quest. I did everything else.. oh and the latest DLC.. didn't really touch it. ohh.. I also didn't do all the crazy super versions of the dream fights, too much effort :P Either way.. I had beaten the hollow knight and I had access to The Radiance, but I took a break and then every time I tried to get back into it, I wasn't good enough anymore. So I sat and bashed my head against the Hollow Knight once more until he was nothing more than a trivial 10-30 second loading screen before The Radiance. I almost died on the absolute final part of the fight.. fell into the darkness while going for the final couple of hits.. but I survived with 1 life and barely pulled through. Was terrified. Amazing fight and amazing ending. Amazing game.
I did the same never knew i could fight non absolute radiance i hoped back on the game after not playing for like a year and won in like 5 tries and i was also at 108% having every charm half of the hall completed and god grimm still alive
Same, I never understood how people heard git gud, radiance wasn't even that hard(granted I died, but I only died once, the way people were hyping her up I expected more of a challenge)
There's clearly no R in the second syllable. I'm still disappointed that people aren't out here talking about eternal emilitia giggling and saying "pantera." Are there no metal heads in the hollow knight community?
I’ve never been able to hear anything other than ‘get through’, I always thought it fit more thematically as a whole ‘save them’ dynamic instead of ‘fuck them up’
The git gud is basically trying to emulate the sound of get through ... Oh, but wait, we all know that already. Yes she's just spreading swag and wanting you to have a good life 🐋 Gitgud people
I hear "get down", it makes more sense, since its a fight and she is flying in while you're in the middle. Also she could be screaming it at hollow knight because she is literally holding him down.
I always interpreted it as a "STRIKE NOW!" type deal. I dont know if Hornet knew about the dream nail, or the Radiance, so it can be interpreted either way to me. "STRIKE NOW!" As in "KILL HIM WHILE I HAVE HIM STUNNED!" or "USE THE DREAM NAIL BEFORE HE BREAKS FREE!" Whichever you prefer.
Dream nailing hornet gives you messages like "is it strong enough? Could it defeat it?" And comments on your "difficult task" and your "sacrifce" many times, not to mention her dad was the king and her mom birthed her in order to sacrifice herself to hold the radiance, so its a super high chance that she knows about it
I like to believe that she says "Get through." Implying that you help get through to the Vessel/The Hollow Knight and release him from the Radiance/The Infection. After the fight is over, he helps you finish the battle cause you helped him. You help him escape the nightmare.
