This is exactly how I imagine Ogrim sounds. This is especially added to by how passionate the singing is. Darby is practically _screaming_ these lyrics sometimes. Every time he sings “ *FARFUNDA!!!!!* HEAR THE CRY OF THE SHIELD OF THE KIIIIING!” i can feel the energy behind it.

Darby yelling out defender's various laughs and war cries is all I need in my life. Now if you ever make a full version of hornet's theme you have to add the shaws and audinos Edit: do you people think I stopped watching MOTI or something

I will say I genuinely love the Dung Defender. Like, when I first played Hallow Knight I thought he was a joke boss as he was literally defending a room of poop. But then I remembered that bugs actually need that stuff for nurishment and even making homes for defending against the elements, so he then became this Defender of everyone. As he was protecting what was considered a valuable resource to the kingdom. Especially since he hadn't left his post for so long and saw the decay of the kingdom he loved so much, he remained loyal to the king and the other knights, and meeting you was probably a breath of fresh air and a lovely little fight to keep him going. Now, even more motivated.

Honestly, I’m so glad Dung Defender is one of the friendly Npc’s who don’t die.

I like the dung defender. He’s so goofy and wholesome.

This was honestly one of my favorite fights in the game. Not only does it seem like Ogrimm is having fun with the fight (which is emphasized even more in this song), but it’s also pretty fun to parry his attacks while he’s bouncing around. It’s almost like hitting a beach ball.

I honestly love this so much! Darby really nails the voice of the Dung Defender. You really captured his more jolly and happy nature. I also love the lyrics and how they reflect his character. Despite being "banished" from the great knights he not only does he still care about his friends but is still loyal to the King. I also like how the lyrics acknowledge him knowing about the vessel as he implies by his dream nail dialoge that there was another. However him saying void does raise a few questions. It still is a great song and I am not trying to discourage anyone. I am just using this as an chance to speculate about Ogrims knowledge of the vessels. Now we could get into a long discussion on how much the great knights were aware of the pale kings plan from the dialog we get from ogrim it seems at the very least they weren't completely left in the dark. However this doesn't mean they didn't know what void was. Maybe they knew void from the king- and wingmoulds. However it seems like I am speculating too much. If you want to discuss on how much the great knight knew about the plan of the pale king go ahead. TLDR this is a great song and I look forward to more.

I remember meeting the Dung Defender the first time, I was like, 50% confused and 50% like "okay my dude, I see your vibe." It was in an incredibly fun fight, so I was glad when I actually got to see him again and he asked if I was okay after the battle :') You captured him perfectly, our glorious dung defender!

The FARFUNDA and HEAR THE CRY OF THE SHIELD OF THE KING parts are so good, it sounds like you're almost yelling it, which is what makes them so good. You can just hear the raw emotion

The Dung Defender/White Defender is one of my favorite arcs in the entire game. My first time encountering him had be grinning from start to end, and my last time with him had me in tears. So loyal! And very tragic...This song encapsulates him so well. I was afraid this would be a joke/meme song, but I was very happy to see it simply fun and legitimate.

This song is amazing!! Dung defender is such an amazing character and these lyrics perfectly fit both the song itself and Ogrim as a character, his bond with the vessel in connection to the pale king and this sort of brotherly connection that he develops with the vessel. Everything about it is just so passionate and energetic, perfectly showing Ogrim’s bright and bubbly personality, I also really love the addition of all of his little voice lines in the song, especially having the “Farfunda!!!” And “Doma Doma Doma” being in the lyrics. I’d be really interested to see a lyric version of White Defender’s theme, since you could really go into Ogrim’s naivety and isolation since he doesn’t even know that the king is dead and the majority of the knights are gone. All of the White Defender dialogue is super sad and I’d love to hear how that’d be interpreted with your awesome lyrical work ✨☺️✨
