In this episode, NL finds a bench sign, finds the bench and sits on it, runs in a small circle, sees the same bench sign again and wonders out loud where that bench might be; and all of that within 20 seconds
5 seconds after smashing down and finding the bench and resting on it: "I wanna continue on to bench town... benches are down!?" You on strong cold medication or something NL
This is quite the journey, I started watching this at home and now 11 episodes later I've moved into a new place and gone through some shit, yet this remains the constant - appreciate ya NL
i hope nl would open an account on the "bank" lady and store ALL his unused geo, she seems pretty nice holding a bank under those crazy conditions underground.
"I think we've explored most of it thankfully" [stares at the 7 open directions just in the waterways]. Maybe someone should show him how the map works?
He's making me uncomfortable carrying that much geo without fast traveling back to Dirtmouth to actually buy some goodies. Oh well.. 2 more epsidoes I predict until he loses 4k geo.
He has bought out pretty much everything in dirthmouth, has he not? Except a few charms with sly? Including the geo gathering one? I lose track of who sells what. He need to go down to the bottom right of the forgotten crossroads and find the other shop that sells charms.
Yeah! He does it so often, that he runs around with a million currency, getsinto a an area and dies. thats ok. Then on the way back he sometimes goes a different way, faces a new enemy and at about 2 health he keeps fighting, instead of returning to the bench. i gotta admit he either has balls of steel or what i think more, doesnt actually really care about geo in the first place
Seriously been waiting for him to figure this out or see a comment on this, but NL please: When you start to see random paper trails on the ground, follow them to the Mapman. So many times do you walk over paper, asking for Mapman, and going the wrong way until you eventually stumble over the right path... also for hallow sake... go spend your God dang Geo
Yeah, I mean, if he had Quicken Focus, it might have made sense in a weird head injury sort of way... But then again, when was the last time he changed his Charm Loadout?
henlo egg henlo you hollow egg please spend the geo before you lose it by taking bad damage ugly ((sorry for that but you are one of my favorite RU-vidrs man love your content keep it up))
It's already to late, he's gonna be like "I can't do this boss too many enemy's" and leave all the geo behind and walk around with a broken soul container till he dies again.
Hollow Knight - Northernlion Plays - Episode 11 [Still Doesn't Know Where the Simple Key Goes] (+1 He found how to use the key, GREAT JOB EGG DADDY!) Hollow Knight - Northerlion Plays - Episode 11 [Doesn't See Pieces of Paper Laying on the Ground Leading to Map Man] (+1 He found him by accident, Actually no joke a great series. no surprise Egg Boy keep it up!)
16:50 Really hope NL travel to the lower fungal wastes from the sewers in future episodes. Otherwise he might completely ignore Bretta and all the mantises rewards down there...
NL, not sure if anyone else has said it (or if you already know) but if you just hold the focus button longer, you can heal more than one HP in a row if you have the soul for it. It would save a little bit of time that could otherwise be used to dodge an attack. Again, if someone else has already said this, please disregard
3:09 You literally just broke that floor and opened the door, isn't it obvious that *that* way leads to the exit? 9:50 I also bought a lot of Rancid Eggs from him, considering the price kept changing. I expected his supply to end and trigger something, but nothing happened. Apparently they're just the item you use for that guy in Dirthmouth that takes care of your phantom for you, you pay him with these eggs. 13:50 Henlo darkness my old friend... (bye bye 3453 geo, at least he got it back.) 18:23 You can air dash from the wall to get up there... Not to mention there was a lower platform to the left... 22:58 ...I've come to talk with you again... 25:42 ...Because a vision softly creeping... Ryan, you should really head back to Dirtmouth and spend all of your geo. Get yourself an hp and soul container, maybe you'll even find the charm store and you'll get more notches and/or good charms. Anyway, enjoying the LP.
yeah, but it isn't a invalid assumption considering the game type but NL seems to have no memory whatsoever, must be having to talk and play causes memory to stop working.
that moment when he talks about looking for rattly floors, while walking over a rattly floor that went completely unnoticed. Egg, how can you be so determined to find something, and yet so clueless when you actually find it? It's actually pretty astounding.
oh wow, I didn't even know this area existed, I must have mostly skipped the Royal Waterway. This is why I watch NL, he seems to stumble upon everything I missed.
I love your series :D Pro Tip: You can buy a charm on the town that autocolects the geos Another Tip: You can do the jump puzzle from episode 6 min 20 :P
Funny thing is I think he already knows about it and just hasn't gotten it yet for some freakin' reason. He said something about it in like the first episode. Go figure. Then again, he is a RU-vidr, which is like +10 to being ADD.
MH80 honestly I hate deepnest WAY more than waterways. The mealworm abominations aren't too bad compared to the giant fuckin centipedes or the bladed crab shell demons
he kinda started the meme himself at least in this community since he first mentioned it on the NLSS and only after that it started to become a thing in the comments / chat
Flukemarm is horrible to fight if your nail has only been upgraded once, best thing to do right now would be to grab his shade and then fuck off and do the rest of the area.
so did Ryan only a few days/weeks(?) ago see the "henlo you STINKY LIZARD" post? it's nice to know our content creators are lagging months behind us in terms of meme awareness
I had the same problem he had of it just not working sometimes. I found that using rb in stead of b to dash down worked much better and i dont have that problem now.
I think someone was choking on something when the devs said, hey let's record that noise. I just hope they helped the poor person when they got the audio they wanted. I think I'll take cockroach town over where the Egg is right now. Btw NL, why do you want to eat rancid eggs? Afraid of a little competition?
Northernion Homie.. Those white things on the ground are Paper. you can see them when you're near the map dude. I think you know but. Seriously, keep an eye on the floor for papers.
hey ryan, loving this series c: have you thought about uploading more than one episode a day? or maybe start another series alongside it? as much as i love your isaac vids, i'd love to see more content from you~
Honestly egg should just stream this so stream can yell at him every 5 sec for missing something. I was screaming at 18:17 when he tried to get on that platform WHEN HE WAS JUST ON IT LITERALLY 10 SECONDS AGO USING THE PLATFORM SLIGHTLY TO THE LEFT It hurts me watching this
For everyone playing Hollow Knight that struggles on that boss as much as NL is there is a very simple, kind of cheesy way to beat it with 0 effort. You'll want 5 charm notches, which is 2 more than your starting amount, 1 is obtainable from the 2 large mushroom enemies near the beginning of the fungal wastes, and the other can be purchased from the merchant on the cliff in the south-easternmost area of the forgotten crossroads once you have the dash. There are 4 charms you want to equip, 3 one slots and 1 two slot, the one slot charms are: Grubsong, which is obtained by rescuing 10 grubs from their prisons. Thorns of Agony, which is obtained from a jumping puzzle in Greenpath that you can do after you obtain the dash. Spore Shroom, which is obtained in a jumping puzzle in the Fungal Wastes that you can do with the climbing claws and the dash. The two slot charm is the Baldur Shell which is also obtainable in Greenpath after you get the dash. With all of those charms equipped beating the boss is very simple, just jump and attack it until you get hit by one the small flying things then start charging your heal, your Baldur Shell will keep you safe from the enemies and the spores from Spore Shroom will finish off any that are still around, as well as damaging the boss, it shouldn't take more than a minute or so of doing that to kill it. As an extra note, if you get a 6th charm notch, you can fight the main boss of the Royal Waterways and equip his charm as well, it's also a one slot and it will make your Spores do more damage and cover a larger area.
There's actually an easier way to do it. Just stand on one of the platforms that has a clear line of fire to the boss and use your spells. Anytime you run out of soul you just use the babies to regen it without moving from the platform.
I really hope NL doesn't keep trying to beat Flukemarm, took me like 12 tries due to pure luck with the +1 nail (same as NL's), he needs to be able to 1 shot the little dudes first.
