@@sebastianfeuerstein9306 after the dream boss Soul Tyrant you can speak with the soul master and from what he says you can figure out that some time before the Hollow Knight was sealed, the soul Master started studying Soul, a strange and somewhat pure-looking energy that appearently everyone possessed, looking for a cure to resist the infection, and even when the King openly stated to interrupt his work, soul Master kept hoarding Soul, draining it from other bugs of course. You can see all the corpses scattered around the soul sanctum. He and his followers obtained soul powers and were somehow able to resist the infection a little more, but eventually were driven to insanity. The body count is not as vast as the King's, but it was still impressive. Not as relevant to the whole plot, just a ""fun"" fact

@@arkaix oh yeah, I remember watching *mossbag's* video on that. The pale king actually stole the idea from soul master on how to stop the infection, soul master would later on complain to the knight on how he wasn't given any credit nor recognition for the discovery of soul energy

@@sebastianfeuerstein9306 not really. pale king doesn't stole anything from soul master. infact, he completely resisted what soul master is doing. pale king is able to sacrifice himself and things related to him like his kids but not people of hollownest itself. That's why he go against soul master.

Iirc she had some kind of influence on bugs outside of their own "Superior Being Circle", not a hivemind but some degree of the "warm light" comfort thing that some of the infecteds dream of. I can get behind the mindless jumping the ship and being able to think "yeah, minds are cool as fuck", but the moths really had it coming by abandoning and almost killing (via I forgor) their own creator

This is just a theory. But a likely theory , another possibility is they have to complete path of pain (not my theory) or other methods that I’m to oblivious to notice (yeah your probably right)

if the theory is true, and based on the fact that our knight is the second one to escape, it proves that it is almost as strong as the hollow knight and is capable of saving the world

That's only in certain endings. In the most common ending it just traps it

The White Lady’s commentary on things “regressing” if not dealt with could be taken as evidence that the Radiance had a hive mind prior to the Pale King arriving on the scene.

The Hive Mind is hinted at in the Elegy for Hollownest at the start of the game

well she is a god, she is the main god of the Dream Realm. Radiance was sealed away in the Dream Realm before the infection happened and that's what got her pissed off
