True, but they definitely need to improve their communication. We don’t want the game before it’s done, but it sucks to be left out in the dark nevertheless.
I do think something like an Hey games still being made just so you know. I think what they did with hollow knight where every now and then we get a small bit of information

The community is overreacting like crazy. It takes AAA studios half a decade to pump out games, 4 people making a game is obviously gonna take a long time. By this time they've only spent about 6 months more in development time, and that's to be expected since silksong is supposedly bigger than hollow knight and also covid
Kinda surprised you didn’t mention the phase the community went through were they wanted to sacrifice Mossbag and some other creators to Team Cherry in exchange for Silksong
Oh my God. I just now realised. It's been 5 YEARS... Holy molly, 5 years... And 7 years since release of original game... Damn, time really flies fast... Now I'm sad, not even because there are still no SS. It's just so much time passed... Fuck
I know it feels a bit rough with this lack of news, but remember: No news means that there are no bad news either, which also means that the game is (hopefully) still being worked on! Tomorrow for sure.
i genuinely don't know how much more of this I can take. I know I should be patient, but I don't know if I can anymore. I'm tired of the radio silence and I just need something/anything about the release date of silksong. Just even a percentage of what they think the game is completed would be enough to fuel my silky hunger for another year if it were to come to that.
This video made me realize just how little information this game has gotten. And just how long ago all of these released I think Silksong also was in that massive NVIDIA leak a few years ago and nothing happened
If this game gets cancelled i will look forward to the 4 hours youtube video documentary about how team cherry disappointed thousands of fans that never lost the hype for the game over the years and how this was one of the biggest deceptions in gaming history.
I legit don't get the "it's been 5 years, where's silksong?!?" complaints, people, team cherry are pulling off a triple a's worth of game making on an indie studios worth of man power, *_shits gonna take time_*

Honestly, I dont care if Team Cherry needs another 5 years. I used to be on the bandwagon of just give it to us now and fix it later, but after why that is such a bad mindset time and time again (Like cyberpunk was) I'd rather them take as much time as they think they need. This is going to be an absolutely incredible game and I am ready to wait as long as they decide is necessary.
Completely agree with your current view, HOWEVER. It is not acceptable to be 100% silent over *the* most anticipated game over the last couple of years. It's the most wishlisted game on Steam right now. They need to say literally anything. "Yeah, we're working on it." "It will be done before 2028." "We haven't run into major issues relating to development." Literally anything at all to even confirm that the game is ever going to release and most people will be happy. It's very strange that they'd rather not say a word and drive the community crazy. My one issue with TC.
Even if they say the game won't release, there will at least be closure, and I can know not to get my hopes up, even if I'm upset that I won't get to play it. Just having all these theories and analysis (what's the plural of that??) is driving us crazy when we could get a single sentence from TC and we'd calm down
I remember seeing a meme of the 4 horsemen of not being released being: Hollow knight silksong, cuphead the delicious last course, geometry dash 2.2, and minecraft cave update. All the other 3 have since been released, but they also had a more sane community, And I think i know why (except for cuphead i wasnt in the community): Minecraft Cave Update: It was a meme, really. No one was expecting it to come out, since it hadnt even been announced and nowhere in minecraft had there been a hint to a cave update. Then mojang announced the cave update, and they got constant updates through Snapshots and Dev posts. And then it came out pretty shortly too GD 2.2: This had been publicly known to be in development for years. It was a big meme in the community too. What caused them to not go insane? Because GD is a community run game. The community makes the levels, which is 99% of the game. They wouldnt care if no more updates came, since they made the levels they could keep making new and unique content forever, especially with how broad the GD level editor is (basically a game engine). And then when 2.2 was around the corner, they got updates pretty much daily, or atleast once or twice a week at least untill GD 2.2 came out. Silksong: Unlike Minecraft, it wasnt a meme. No it was known about for a while. And unlike both. we barely got any news from them. We got a release window: no news. Half a year past that: no news. And the community cant entertain itself like it did in GD, because Hollow Knight isnt a community run game. And there isnt an easy to use level editor either, not that hollow knight runs on "levels" anyway. What causes us our pain is the lack of what the others got: CONTENT Even if the Minecraft Cave Update was real from the start and didnt get released for years, they not only 1. got news and 2. got other updates, they still have their own content since Minecraft is a sandbox game Same with GD, but instead of if it was real it actualy is. But we? It isnt a sandbox game, so we cant make our own content as easily, and not only that, we have barely gotten news or other game updates! If Silksong was announced before Godhome was released i think we all would be kinda happy to atleast get some kind of update to not drive us insane from the lack of content. Or perhaps if the devs would post more dev posts, even if its just saying "We have no info we can give, but we are working on the game!" for a month straight, id be something. But instead we get nothing and hold tight to the little we have, driving us mad **Thank you for coming to my TED talk**
there's a new version of the cave update, the end update. people have been waiting 4 years now. and it's gotten to the point where people are taking 'it's gonna be a big year for minecraft' as proof for an end update
@KwikBR Well 1. the end update was a popular meme for like a month. 2. it isn't announced, so it's still different. 3. 1.9, despite being called combat update, was mostly an end update. Without 1.9, the end would be the dragon and nothing else, no outer islands.

@noob-killer it's been the most requested update the past 3 or so years, and every video I see about the next Minecraft update it's talking about the end update. The last one was 8 years ago now, in 1.9. And, unlike the cave update, people think it will happen so it fits a bit more imo

Okay, i don't hate Team Cherry, and i understand the difficulties of making a game. But... I really hope in their next games and projects, they be more communicative with their fanbase You have no idea how much i'd pay for Team Cherry to do something like Toby Fox, and posting an update status every season or so...
Silksong isn't getting made, it's DOA, either Unity or something else even further back killed it. There is no reasonable explanation as to the complete lack of communication with their fans, they hemorrhage fans and as a consequence money by doing this. Most fans I know don't care anymore and probably won't play Silksong even if it ever comes out because they got sick of the radio silence and moved on to other fandoms and games.
Honestly anyone who criticized Team Cherry for delaying Silksong is a big baby. A game being delayed is not a bad thing, because it means its not ready. We don't want a broken unfinshed game at launch. Silksong looks amazing from what I've seen in trailers. When the game finally comes out it will be worth the wait.
The fact that you say “the game that never came out” not only uses past tense, implying that YOU no longer believe it’s gonna come out, but the fact that MOST of the community has lost hope just makes me laugh
It's quite ironic that the gaming community will spend its time complaining about all the modern games that are unfinished and sell for $70, and at the same time complaining that some people take the time to make a perfect game, Ah video game players!
