Max is probably more effective at that weight. Very good performance, almost flawless apart from getting stunned with the left hook. Easily one of the worst Gaethje performances, lacked cardio and conditioning from the get go. Hydrated up way too much and almost looked like his camp thought the size would be enough. Was second best to everything, lost every round, Max didn't need the KO but deserved it. Dustin Poirier brutalized Max at that weight, Gaethje's boxing and timing just isn't the same, it's too left hook heavy. Nowhere near Islam.

Anik corrected him and told him just a few seconds later as well that it wasn't smelling salts, it was vaseline. You don't have to take my word for it either if you don't want, you can look it up yourself, there is even video showing Nines pushing vaseline up in her right nostril. I understand smelling salts were brought up, but it was also cleared up during the fight, and spreading misinformation about ANY fighter isn't right considering these people risk their bodies to entertain us. @@Joes35 You need to understand that Alex fighting on middleweight made him chinny, he is too massive for that weight.. It's easier for him to fight on the heavyweight. And do you really underestimate Izzy? I think Alex has proved that Izzy is REALLY good. He is winning champions with so low effort and Jiri also tried to take him down, but he got punched in the face, so takedowns come with risk. I also believe Jon Jones wins most likely, but I wouldn't count Alex out

Alex is a master at striking. He always times his opponent's lead hand as it goes down and throws the shovel hook/uppercut as the opponent's arm goes down, the shovel hook/uppercut then goes over the opponent's lead hand and the angle is JUST perfect.. game of inches and set ups
