OKAY; In a 1991 interview, Holly Hunter, after volunteering information, was "suddenly offended" when the interviewer asked her about her acting Technique. "She just shut down....completely. " In THIS INTERVIEW, she VOLUNTEERED THAT SHE HAD BORNE A MAN, 2 SONS, and when he ASKED THEIR AGES, she again, BECAME OFFENED, or acted so, and said "I can neither confirm nor deny, the existence of any CHILDREN IN MY HOUSEHOLD. " So, she BAITS, WAITS, THEN WOUNDS " the interviewers. This is described in "Controlling People". Thanks
+Dean Campbell A different point: To me,she sounds as if she talks with a speech impediment,as if,talking were strenuous;and that,makes her unpleasant,and sort of exhausting to listen to. She's kinda cold,too;and,attractive,but distant.
Actually she said "I can't deny or confirm" not "I can neither confirm not deny the existence of any CHILDREN IN MY HOUSEHOLD" (what's with your sudden use of capitals, by the way??!). I'd be surprised if Craig Ferguson (and other interviewers) didn't know beforehand that she's very private and doesn't talk much, if at all, about her private life. I'm sure he was well aware that she doesn't talk about her kids in public and that, no doubt, she tries to keep them out of the limelight. So, I think, as much as it may have appeared as if she was offended by his question about her kids, that this was done just for fun and that, if that was the case, she just acted offended by the question. I don't think she's cold or unfriendly at all, just wary about how much information she gives out in interviews because, unlike so many celebrities nowadays who endlessly take selfies, constantly Twitter, etc, (KARTRASHIANS are a perfect example!) she prefers to keep her private life just that - private. Personally, I respect celebrities who do that much more than ones who won't stop attention seeking and who virtually sell their souls to get the attention and adoration they so crave.
