Nice. Looks like a cool setup. Does this support other types of headsets? The wedding planner wants a headset that is very discrete and "invisible" If so, any that you would recommend?
Hi @PhotoJoseph do you know how and if the Holland Mars T1000 Tally FX works with the BMD ATEM and GPI Interface? Do you have any solutions for that, is it better to choose an other workaround?
I love the idea of wireless talkback, but many of us are already using wireless microphones. Why can't we combine the two? Of the many wireless microphone systems out there, do you know of any that ALSO have a feedback channel. The talent can then have a levelier mic (that is high quality for recording) AND an earpiece (to hear mix minus audio of remote guests or the producer in their ear). Is Saramonic Vlink2 the only set that can do this?
So this system is designed for crew, not talent. A talent talkback system is very different and needs to be invisible. And therefore much more expensive. Also not on the same channels as the crew. Like on a news show, the talent has the producer in their ear, not very crew member on set. I’ve not seen the Saramonic but honestly that is a very different approach and I’d not try to combine them into one unit. Talent’s mic needs to have separate control from their ear.
@@photojoseph I understand that this system is for a large crew, but there are many use cases where you have a crew of one. 1) A reporter with cameraman where the reporter needs to hear colleagues in studio and instructions from cameraman. 2) Events with many concurrent sessions and one crew member per room. Those on stage need to hear remote guests (for hybrid panels) and instructions from lone crew member. Is there a good prosumer solution for this that you know of?
Hey guys, hope you are well. Wanted to find out. Is the push to talk time adjustable by any chance? When going from mute to talk it takes about 3 seconds of holding the button in, and would like to shorten that time. Is there possibly a firmware update to change that?
That's a great question - I have not used them together, however I'm quite sure that they are on different frequencies. You'll need to look up the specs on their website though.
@@photojoseph I was referring to the sound quality of the Hollyland T10000 intercom headsets? Your audio example seemed relatively clear without any hiss underneath?
oh LOL sorry, I glanced at the title of the video your comment was one and clearly didn't pay attention!! So no, I don't feel like the audio is "hissy". Maybe he had some kind of interference? What you heard in this video sounded quite similar to what I heard when I used it in production in a different location, so I think it's quite good overall.
