@@raheemajones6824 I can't speak on whether Spike used credit cards to fund his debut film or not, but Robert definitely did. He admitted he spent about $25,000.00 on his credit cards to make this film.
AND lied to city authorities while filming because he didn't want to pay the required licensing fees to shoot a movie. So, he submitted paperwork saying he was a "film student creating a project for class" to avoid the fees. And yes, he DID use credit cards to finance this film. I saw that interview as well.
"What's your Phone number Baby" lol I still say this line to this day after seeing that film several times with by brother in my youth . Such a comedy classic
I watched this movie many times in the late 80s as a kid. Is it me or were the pimps, especially the one with his arm behind his shoulder, truly creepy?
I remember seeing this clip when I was a child, I had no idea of the context and it scared me for years (the wide eyes, one of the continously shaking lol and one of the pimps crooked arm above/behind his head). Never knew where the clip came from and happy I stumbled upon it. Can't believe I'm laughing at it now though.
