She said in her live when they launched that the polishes are on the thicker side but you can add nail polish thinner to them if you prefer a thinner polish. The stickers are also thermal

I love color changing polish! I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since the brand released polish for the first time. I remember Christine’s video announcing her brand like it was yesterday
For each thermal polish there needs to be 2 creams that match the cold state and the warm state. Then you could do nail art that would disappear in one or the other.
Yeah totally fair! 🥺 I wish they lasted forever! Side note, I've never had an issue with metallic polishes expiring though! I've got amazing ones from OPI and Orly that are several years old!
@@KelliMarissaThey shouldn’t if they’re good quality polishes. I have polishes from the 90s that are good as new. ETA that I mean metallics. Thermal pigment is thermal pigment no matter who makes the polish!
Thanks for reviewing these! When these came out on Saturday, I pulled out one of my 2 year old thermals from Cirque & painted my nails. The formula had turned incredibly thick, but after 50 drops of thinner I was able to use it. I’m happy to report that it still has the same color changing ability. So, hopefully I can get the same shelf life from these. 🤞🏼
I love thermals! I'm cold almost all the time but also at the part of life where I have hot flashes. I like to wear thermals and breathe through the hot flashes while watching my nail polish go back to the cold color.
I just got my shipping notification this morning for these! I think it's fun that she did some pairing of typically low selling colors with high selling colors (teal and chartreuse, pink and orange) These are going to be fun!
In terms of how long thermal polishes last: I have some that are three years old at least and still going strong! Hopefully these will do the same; i bought three of these on launch day!

Yeah I wish they could last indefinitely! I try to time buying new thermals for when I know I'm going to use them a lot so I don't have to stress about the expiration!
I have some kbshimmers and cadillacquers that are around 2 years old and they still shift! Now I'm testing my whole collection😅 I was sent into a panic

I’m glad you mentioned the longevity. I’ve never had thermal polishes before, so I was thinking of getting one or two shades, but if the pigment wears off in less than a year it just doesn’t seem worth it tbh. It would be interesting to get an update on the bottles in a couple of months!

I ordered mine on the release day and they will arrive this week 🥰 My summer plans were driving to the south of france into the Provance, which I already did. It was nice. Since I have Covid now, I can watch lots of nail videos. I kind of like the idea of a shorter shell life, so hopefully we will be using and enjoying it instead of hoarding it. I have all the excuses in the world to do lots of fun manicure with theses as long as they last. And when they stop turning, they will probably still be a fun color. Greetings from Germany 😉

I love thermals especially since I keep my nails long and get that awesome gradient, however I’m always paranoid about them d*ing before I get around to using them 😂 Simply Chaotic is by far my favourite of the collection, I don’t think I’ll be picking them up but admire them from afar!! 💚💙
Ooh yes I'm always jealous of people who get the natural gradient from them haha! I did have my nails a bit longer this spring so I could get that look with those Mooncst thermals though and I loved it 😅😅
I ordered Simply Chaotic and Guilty Pleasure the moment they hit the HT website. They are thrilling. Both colors are gorgeous. I appreciate Christine posting the expected shelf life of the polishes (6-12 mo). I've played around with some of my Nails Inc color changing polishes that stopped changing colors. I've had good results with popping the bottle into the fridge overnight.
Those first two flaky shades are especially my fav 💙 though I feel like they'll thicken a lot over time, with how both thermals and flakies tend to thicken somewhat
These are some of the prettiest thermals I’ve seen. I agree that the flakies are the prettiest. I just purchased 5 indie polishes, which is way out of character for me, but I hadn’t purchased any in six months so I’m hungry for new ones. I’ve never purchased a thermal because I didn’t like one of the shift colors but these are great in both states. Thanks a bunch. Fun video, and btw you can leave the bloopers in!😂

Okay, not regretting my purchase. I really enjoy watching how many coats you put on and how they apply when you do your swatch videos. It really helps me to understand if a polish will work for me and my lack of patience in the drying process. LOL
Oh man, I love when you do swatch and reviews for thermals! I could just watch you dip your nail in different temperature water all day, lol. I ordered the collection box and it got here yesterday, so I'm gonna go do my nails with these and then stand at my sink for way too long!

Love the review! Can't wait until my collection comes. As a pool person, I'd be interested to hear your experience and tips on getting nail polish to last while swimming. I know you probably repaint often enough that it doesn't affect you terribly, but it would be an interesting video!
I am excited to see thermals from them. I love thermals particularly in the fall. If they had put flakies in all of the polishes, I would have jumped on the collection box a lot faster. I don’t have any thermals that change these colors except for the purple to pink one so I’m excited. Given the nature of thermals, I’m curious to see how long these will last. I have thermals from other brands that are a few years old and still transition just fine while others have already died. I went to PBE last weekend. Had a good time and bought several polishes 😊 I also took my child to see their friend in San Angelo as a graduation present. Had a good time there as well. I saw lots of fantastic art exhibits.

I bought this set almost immediately after the release. Those flakies are everything! I realized I don't have any summer colors in my collection so this hit all the marks for me. Also it'll be the first specialty box i've grabbed.

I love this collection!! I was first sceptical cause the teaser looked so so, but when I saw them in action I knew I needed all of them! 🤩🤩 We actually have sth very cool planned for summer! I just got my order of Simply Chaotic and Funny Feeling! for me, the formula of Funny Feeling seemed like how you described Rage Bait - a little thick and sheer, to the point where 4 coats seem necessary (but I am too lazy to so 3 coats and some nail line it is)

Simply Chaotic is my favorite! I love flakies in jelly and to get two different cool colors in one polish is just 😍 The longevity really does change depending on how good the formula is and how well it's stored. I have some thermals from 4 years ago that still change color. Maybe not as quickly as they used to but still noticeable! Interesting to see how long the HT ones transform!
I'm so curious to try them in the winter and see! Someone else mentioned that refrigerating them can help with longevity. I'm sure it doesn't help that I keep my office at 80 degrees LOL
@@KelliMarissa my hands are almost always cold especially since the AC where I work is usually blasting so when I get in my car I get a inverse gradient!

As soon as you said you were conflicted with Rage Bait I was like noooo. That is my favorite. But I usually wear a thicker mani to prevent breaks as I do a lot of physical labor for work so that’ll be ok. After the Kbshimmer collection and now this one my “no buy 2024” went out the window 😂 I was doing good too. Wow I thought Texas was hot. I would love access to a pool everyday. Sometimes I’ll see neighborhood pools and no one is there. I would be there everyday. Tanning and swimming. Feel like a vacation all summer.
I haven't bought or worn thermals in years because I usually prefer the cold state and I'm very hot bodied - but I recently saw the funniest and best thermals on the death valley nails site! They're called 'the sink after he shaves' and 'the sink after she shaves' and I love them both so freakin much!
I have a ton of thermal polishes that are 2 to 5 years old and they still transition beautifully. In fact, I don’t think I have ever had a thermal stop transitioning. Keeping them stored properly will help extend the shelf life.
I love the concept and color story and I love these polishes in your swatches! But I can’t bring myself to buy any because it’s summer and I can’t justify buying five thermals! I simply cannot possibly use them enough to justify it ❤ and I wonder if that’s why they stuck with limited edition on their thermals, so they don’t sit on a shelf?

The flakies are the best of the bunch. Plus hoping for some kind places for them to land in the stuck positions. Would be interesting to do a follow up in 6-12 months to see where yours do get stuck or if they do.
I was planning on getting this set but when I saw that they would work in the thermal state for 3-6 months, I decided it would be a waste to purchase them. I am unable to wear polish until my lifted nail has grown out and not knowing how many more months that will be, I might not even get a chance to see the colour shift. They say it’s limited edition so they no doubt will be sold out by then time my nail heals sadly. I actually had no idea the colour shift last for such a short time. I figured it would stop, but 5 colours and possibly only a few months it seems a waste for me 😢 P.S. I love the blooper you left in Kelli, lol thought I was hearing things…it gave me such a laugh to see your comment after I watched. 😂😂😂💜
These are beautiful. I ordered them last weekend when they dropped. I keep my thermals in the fridge and they keep the color shift for a lot longer. I have had some for many years. We just purchased an RV so now we plan to go camping a bit more. Also have season Lawn passes at Hollywood Amphitheatre so wea re seeing a ton of concerts.
Thank you for the swatch and review! I think maybe people worry about the top coat because they maybe heard that UV/Solar transitioning polishes can sometimes be affected by the top coat. There are some ingredients commonly found in QDTC that can lessen the transition because they are UV blockers (etocrylene and benzophenone)
Ohhh that makes sense! I actually didn't know that about solar polishes but that's great to know! I may or may not be trying out some solar polishes from a new-to-me brand for a video hehe 🥰😝
I love the idea of these types of nail polish but I have never used them. My inquiring mind is wondering if cold hands makes them change colors? My hands are always like icicles.

I liked the color contrasts and the flaky. I live where it’s 110 degrees (not Kelli Land hot but still) and I just think the extreme temps will compromise the already short life span of a thermal. Also I have almost no vnl so doubt I would see both colors in day to day wear. have you done any tri thermal reviews? Want to check those out. Thanks for all the swatches and bloopers
I ordered the box and ready to use as they eventually die out. Luckily i run cold so this heat is ok for color change. Wonder how it would be in winter, just cold color all the time 😆
