Well, it’s hard to give a solid answer because the number of nail molecules that can be painted varies with each finger of a human. If painting a whole nail one color and a single atom (for lack of a better term) another counted as something different than painting a nail a solid color without any others, there’d be more manicures possible than there are particles in the observable universe, even if solely holo taco is used.
This might be kinda lame, but I'm genuinely interested in learning the science behind why the colors appear differently in different lights. Any chance you could spend a few minutes on the podcast sharing that, Cristine the science queen?
It probably has to do with the microscopic surface of the flakies. Light has all the colors in it and the flakies dont absorb colors into the black abyss so the colors are reflected back. Sorry for my bad science explanation.
White is every colour light combined, so the holo flakes end up scattering that light(like water) into red, orange, yellow, blue, indigo and violet. The reason colours appear differently in different lights is something that you will end up covering in science class eventually, but a quick google should be able to explain it in one article since it isn't as confusing as it seems.

I have the best story. For context, My dad bought my the Holodays Collection for me for Christmas and had never heard of Holo Taco beforehand. So today I called him and we talked (he lives across the country cause my parents are divorced) and I was like “hey my birthday is coming up...u know there one thing I want-“ and he cuts me off and goes “The Holo Taco Unicorn Skin Collection?” And I was like “wtf YES??” He knew the exact collection name and everything. Apparently he’s on the email list and already bought it for me at launch 💀💀💀 Cristine is out here having an impact on my almost 55 year old dad.

I really love the concept of focusing on products that can seriously elevate your existing nail polish collection rather than feeling the need to throw out everything and replace it. It’s genius because anybody could use this for a myriad of looks and occasions.
I totally understand, I had to miss out on the Holoday (holiday) collection because I was unemployed at the time and flat broke. At least they will be available to purchase individually after, as long as they don't all sell out right away. :) Finally I'm working again and I could splurge on this set.

Devika V Nambiar or maybe you can ask for them as a birthday present from your mom or friends. As someone who owns them, I can confirm the Holo Taco polish is amazing. The holo pieces sit wonderfully in the polish and One Coat Black is stellar. Especially for nail art, the consistency of the back is perfect. They are very special when I wear them. But beware- Frost Light has been a bit distracting because it's so pretty lol. I catch myself just staring at it, admiring it throughout the day!

Like Essie or something Maybe you can ask your mom if you can work for them? Like, show her the price of regular polishes and then the price of a holo taco. And then offer to do chores for them? Dust the shelves, or do the dishes for a week... It's not like you want a 60$ hoodie or something And limit it to one polish. When it works out and she sees you actively using it, she might become more lenient to allowing you more of them for birthdays or sth

As a designer, it's kind of thrilling to see evidence that I've had an impact on the world, even if I'm not always credited by name. Cause I know. Many influencers just slap their name on something they know little about, as a cash/fame grab. Cristine wants to make cool, quality stuff to share with others (while getting paid for her investment, ideas and effort, of course.)
