I recently revealed the genders of my two girlfriends. It got a lot of hate and now has 30 times more dislikes than likes. I am really sad that people can be so mean. Sorry for using your comment to talk about my problems, dear taw
Cristine drilling into her natural nail has the same energy as people cutting their bangs at home and realizing they dont like it the instant they've cut it :D
cut dry first and always longer than you want. cut with the scissors vertical rather then horizonal and use your fingers/a comb to try and get more even edges. (be careful of cutting your fingers if you do the former.) never cut huge chunks in one go and instead separate them into smaller locks to trim. always tie back the parts you don't wanna cut. ._.b edit: cut in the bathroom but not over the sink (or tape some plastic bags over it.) Use a vacuum or toilet paper/throw the bag out at the end to clean it off the counter/floor and dump in garbage. Only bring in water at the end when it’s only the tiny pieces left. You’ll avoid potential plumbing issues that way
OMG WHEN YOU HIIT THE NATURAL NAIL I think I might have screamed out loud, I hope your nail is OK Cristine. I'ma just stick with water marbling & keep my ass away from a drill because that & worse would probably happen LOL.
You can do this also without drill: Just take a Q-tip or similar, pointy stick that can absorb and dip it it polish remover. As you rub the nailpolish carefully, it will show exactly the same results but with smooth edges, since it's "melting" the polish rather than drilling it. I actually love doing these with just 2 colors, 4 layers all the time haha that being said I never thought of putting glitter-toppers inside, so i gotta try that!
Legit how i learned years ago!! Im sure i watched a tutorial on here how to do it with acetone so im very confused how she didnt find anything on how to do it😂😂
the way you can just tell she was tired and stressed of forcing herself to make these videos. lately I’ve been watching a lot of the old simply and the difference is astounding. I am thankful she grew as a creator and matured as a person, I really am because it means we get to enjoy her awesome nail polish line. The streams are super chill and I’m glad she has reignited her passion for content creation it’s just in a different form.
Literally, as she started drilling down, my first thought was "is she keeping track of where the last layer is? Cause she's gonna drill a hole into her nail..." and then she nearly did
at this point after so many years, I feel personally invested in your nails (in the non-creepiest way possible). I thought you must be looking at your paper to know when to stop. Watching you break through till your nail with the drill made me physically cringe, and thank god it wasnt over your nail bed jgjkehjkdfnkangkbnigbiabgiioghoihngronh
IKR OMG SAME. And i thought she'd realize that those holo clear polishes are thinner and they're easier to peel / drill through so she should've gone a little light LMAO 😂😂😭
Cristine: “maybe if I talk about other things no one will notice this creme polishes that I’m using and not naming... it’s not a spoiler that way” 😂😂😂 4:20
She made a face with the green screen one! And I think I see the bottles on the shelf! And today in her stories she said she was swatching one with a banana then I saw yellow polish in one of the next stories. I’m thinking summer neons!
@@kirabobira1695 I cannot chill out. This is a very serious situation, and is vital to the survival of the nail community and maybe even everything on earth. Except the cats they will strive.
It is so true! I don't watch any fitness content but I watched the two podcasts where Ben and Cristine talk about working out (over 2 hours in total) and I found it very interesting. You should listen to their podsact if you don't do it already!
I don’t know why, but today’s “what’s on my other hand” filled me with such nostalgia. I mean, i love all your content... but I am loving going back to nail art type videos sometimes too.
Cristine really managed not to mess up any of her nails when they were drying. I just put a base, color and topcoat and I always mess them up when they dry haha
Did anyone notice that look on her face after she said “green screen polish”. Is this potentially a new holo taco polish or have I officially gone crazy in lockdown?
Cristine: “Im not gonna use a drill” Also cristine: Jawbreaker nails (I drilled my nails) Me:👁👄👁 so the plot will thicken *cool* ~edit: cristine liked my comment omgg 😭😭🥺😭💕 thx u all.
“I’m not gonna use a drill cuz I don’t want an accident.” That’s foreshadowing at it’s finest ladies, gentlemen, and everyone in between! But at least her nails are okay tho😂
Just in Case you EVER use a drill again: please don't hold it like a Pen. You have more control if you hold it like a door handle, so you can stabilise your hand with the thumb. Greetings from a German Hearing Aid Technician. ❤ And thank you for always being yourself, no matter what you do.
Yes, I am sorry for the confusion. I am not talking about a door knob, but rather a slim handle, like normally more common in Germany. To be a little bit more precise: if you are right-handed, you take the drill with your four fingers, the drilling end pointing left, so you can use your thumb to stabilise the rest. Hopefully this way it sounds more plausible!
Watching this after first watching her last video… you can just see how unmotivated she is. I’m glad she decided to stop RU-vid so she could be happier. Because I can just see how much she struggled through everything and it’s hard to watch her be so lost and clearly unhappy.
I just went “oh there’s blue, better be careful now” and she... wasn’t careful. Always have a thick coat of safeguard color underneath so you'll stop when you see it, and *remember what it is*
Cristine i just had the best idea ..safia nygaard made a giant lipstick ..YOU should make a giant finger with a blank big nail on it and then use your peely's to "paint" the nail 💅
Yeah, when she showed her game plan of colors I'm looking at them all like "Hmmm, very unsuspicious!" Green screen and the purple are both exceptional shades, maybe there's a "summer fun" collection coming up!
for anyone who needs a time stamp. it happens at 11:15 and its not a lot of damage. when she removes the polish in the follow up video there's a dent but its small. hope this helps any anxious watchers!
I'm in school right now to be a nail technician. Watching Cristine use the drill scared me. For those of you who do not go to school for being a nail technician, the way she's using the drill (going flat against the nail, instead of going from side to side rounding it off on the top) is actually quite dangerous. Using the drill flat can cause your nail to lose the curve, and possibly damage your nail. This can hurt severely. Not to mention not using proper ventilation can cause serious health issues. But I've got to say, she did a damn good job. Love you lots Christine! love your channel!
@@oliviarose4208 well I haven't graduated yet so there might be something else even harder, but for me the hardest thing is shaping/making acrylic nails. It's really hard to get the ratio right, by once you do(like I kind of have)it's actually not all that bad. The biggest thing to get over and work on is your fear of hurting your clients or doing something wrong and getting in trouble with the law. But it is so much fun, and if you think you wanna do it, you totally should. It's SO MUCH FUN!!! anyway I graduate this year so yeah. Anyway, I hope you and your family are doing good during this time! have a good day! 🤗😷👍👍
and the pressure you put in the nail drill too, is very important to not press the drill into de nail, just let it slide on the top, and let the file do the work
"But you know what the average person does have these days? Time." *Laughs in online college* Not entirely true, I only don't have time when I do everything last minute which is all the time.
Here ir where you can really see how tired is she of doing videos but she still do it anyway, I’m glad you stopped, because every one should do what’s better for them self’s. thanks so much for everything nail lady❤️ and I see you around byeeeeeeee
I actually gasped and jumped spilling my puffs everywhere when I saw your nail being drilled. I'm not even that stressed watching entire factory pallets fall over suddenly
I’m honestly surprised Cristine went ahead with this, she doesn’t even buff her nails Edit: How did I get a heart from Cristine AND 660 likes in 30 minutes??? You’re all so kind 😭
please don’t be mad but i haven’t been subscribed for like 3 years and now this is in my recommended and hearing her voice is like reliving my entire childhood
