Can you do the left/right routing and panning from a Novation Circuit? Also I don’t have a proper audio interface but a Roland Go Mixer. Also with the panning trick, why can’t you hear the drums for example panned left?
This is where the Microcosm gets confusing to me. I'm a guitar player. What do I know? I do know, however, that I will have a Microcosm someday. Even if I have to steal gold coins from a dead horse in the middle of whiteout conditions with a severe bout of diarrhea. I will have a Microcosm because who needs friends when you have a Microcosm? . . . Feel free to use that for marketing purposes. . . 😉
OK! Good god, I have been loving this combination, but I've had some trouble with audio routing. I tried sending audio out from Digitakt, into Microcosm, and then from microcosm, back into Digitakt, but it sounds to quiet, and it even went berserk and gave me nasty feedback. I was listening with headphones out of the Digitakt mind you. I want to have these two live together somehow, married, in a way. How do you recommend routing these two? Is there a way to have them coexist without using an audio interface or separate speaker? If you could, please let me know, thank you!
thanks for watching! In your setup, you've created a feedback loop. As you turn up the output of the Digitakt, the feedback kicks in, yes? There isn't a way to run audio out from Digitakt into Microcosm and back into Digitakt without creating a feedback loop - you're essentially plugging the output of Digitakt into the input of Digitakt. There are a few ways you can send audio to Microcosm from the Digitakt - you could do what we did in this video and send only certain tracks to Microcosm by panning the tracks. You could also run the output of your Digitakt into a mixer and loop Microcosm into the Aux send of the mixer. To avoid the feedback, you need to run the Microcosm's output into something other than the Digitakt's input. Hope that helps!
