Microcosm has extensive MIDI capabilities that are put to good use in music recording software. This video will walk you through getting everything set up, basic terminology, MIDI automation, program changes, LFOs, and a little bonus at the end. Although this overview covers Logic Pro X exclusively, the concepts presented in this video are fairly universal across all DAWs.

Hi Matt! Very useful, but I was wondering if is there a way to record the MIDI automation that I do moving the knobs on the Microcosm in my Daw (Logic Pro X). Watching your video I've understood the only way to program the Microcosm by MIDI is that Logic "talks" to Microcosm. Can I do in the reverse mode so Microcosm "talks" to Logic? Do you know what I mean? Hope you can help me. Thank you so much Edoardo

Hey, I'm trying to do the opposite thing, as I want to record on my daw the automation I make on the pedal by tweaking the knobs (as you can do for any synth, but for some reason, I can't do it on the Microcosm). Anyone with the same issue ?

Microcosm doesn't send MIDI info of its knob movements out. In other words, it doesn't function as a MIDI controller.
