shaymin sky forme is even worse, imagine togekiss but faster and with a secondary stab with 120 bp and a 40% chance to lower spdef by 2 that is boosted by serene grace

This and the Breloom Subpunch Spore strat against Ollie were amazing, Breloom just swept Ollie's team and Ollie didn't even manage to get a scratch on Breloom.

With her poor vocal cords she said “I have 1 more Pokémon but it’s useless here,” before using Garchomp so pretty sure she does. She just didn’t know Sanas team. Not to mention IRyS isn’t as competitive as Sana so likely hadn’t considered or even known about many moves to counter her.

Wonder why no one brought a counter to Togekiss if everyone knew she was the real threat. I mean Scarf Ogre with Thunder or even Specs would probably destroy this thing. But it seems apart from Sana and Reine no one really knew competitive

a lot of them had the right *pokemon* to counter Togekiss, they just didn't have the right moves. Like, since it was casual just put all thoughts of competitive items aside from leftovers out of your mind. What they needed were some electric or steel moves to deal with it. Like thunder, yeah.

Because Sana actually farms the Togekiss with that RNG. Iirc she catched 2 Togepi bc the one hatched from eggs aren't what she wanted. She's want that Serene Grace since beginning lol

@@matthewcoyle4131 Yeah, since Serene Grace doubles the chance that a secondary effect goes off, Air Slash (which has a base 30% flinch rate) suddenly becomes 60% and, combined with the 25% chance to be affected by paralysis, means you're not going to be attacking much if you're on the receiving end. I had a friend years ago who had an Arceus from the Japanese-only event, and I shut it down completely with my bred-and-trained Dunsparce, which had Body Slam (30% paralysis) and Bite (30% flinch). Needless to say, she was in utter shock for several minutes... XD

this is why IV bred pokemon reign supreme. if only you didn't have to go through so much trouble for them. imagine if a fighting game required a breeding simulator to make its characters viable in PvP. why implement such a tedious thing? it's bullshit.

Outside of pokemon not to many games have something as massive as pokemons iv's and games that have random Stat ups from levels uselly have items that can boost stats making it a moot point for competition. So in that respect no its not just a "rpg" thing

IV bred pokemon are no longer required though. Nowadays you just hyper-train them with bottle caps and use the vitamins to boost their EVs. And you just use a mint to change their natures if needed. It's so easy these days to get a perfect max iv max ev perfect nature team.

this is one of the reasons i am not hyped for the EN tournament, at the end of the day i know sana will win and will not be even close, they should have done a metronome tournament like JP where rng is king instead of watch how sana bullies every single one of her opponents.

It was actually pretty close. If Reine just continued to use Thunder on her Kyogre and gotten the paralyze off she would of probably won. Instead she switch to Breloom to use a multi hit move to hopefully break the substitute and hit dragonite but it was too weak to even break substitute. Once dragonite got enough dragon dance up and outsped the scarf Kyogre it was over.

It's not her fault she actually bothered to make her pkmn strong and the rest didn't. Maybe the others should step up if they want to increase the entertainment factor. 🤷🏻‍♀️
