After quickly trying to get a a draw to sight picture repetition in he noticed Optics too dirty then begins the ridiculous struggle of trying to get that lens clean with a keyboard vacuum, canned air, q-tip, alcohol pad, blowing on it. Hey my friend. The torque setting is inch pounds and not foot pounds. Also blue loctite is not what you want to use. I’m fact you should remove any thread locker that comes on the factory screws. So you can apply your own. The correct thread locker you need is called vibra tite VC3. The problem with the blue stuff is that it dries and cracks over time. In addition if you have to loosen the screw for any reason once it is installed, the thread locker will no longer work. The vc3 is not the case. You can loosen and tighten the screw about 4-5 times before reapplication is Necessary
For open emitter optics, instead of using qtips, I would recommend getting a cheap makeup brush off of Amazon, it doubles as a way to push out laser bullets that I use for dry fire practice Also, loving my EPS Carry so far, I haven't had to delint it a single time even though my 507k I was cleaning out just about every other day
Great video. Excellent point on not doing a review until you have had time to really put it to the test. Also, great point on having to clean the lens and the advantage of the enclosed emitter.
Great video and very good practice. Real fast split-second draw but looking in detail, I see a perceivable ~ 1 second delay in your sight alignment. I take it as if the brain make final adjustments with the red dot. This is why I stay away from conceal carry my HK P30SK with optics. From 0 to 10 yards I go with instinctive point shooting and eliminate that delay effect. Remember the fast and the dead thing. Thank you for this valuable video!

Get a can of compressed air to clean the optic of lint or the microfiber cloth that comes with the optic when it’s really dirty. Blast it right out. No Qtips. They’re abrasive.
These look nice but the only difference I see from the 407k/507k is that it’s enclosed so you don’t have to clean your emitter glass so that’s a plus right off that bat but your also paying for that upgrade though. I got my 407k on sale for $175.99 out the door last year & at that price I don’t mind wiping my 407k emitter glass clean every now & again when it needs it 😆.
The point of a closed emitter optic is to protect the emitter from the enviorment & debris. Has nothing to do with the ease of cleaning, though that is a plus.
I live in the Minneapolis metro so I too carry daily. I bought a big bag of grass seed and was chucking it all over my lawn. I looked down at my appendix carry and the Holosun optic was full of seed hahahaha. Oops!

My main reason for taking off the open emitter dot was cause I couldn't clean the damn thing easily, I shoot carry optics in uspsa and absolutely love having a dot on my carry gun but damn is it a bitch to clean. Can't wait to get that new new.
I'm just waiting for 2 MOA green dots to come in stock and I'll probably swap to it from my swampfox that I've had for a while and am not particularly happy with.
Upgraded EDC from 507K X2 32 MOA circle and 2 MOA green dot to a EPS Carry 6 MOA green. Wish I had gone 6 MOA in first place. And closed emitter is so clear.
I couldn’t get my eps carry to work on my sig p365 x macro with out the adapter plate. The stock screws were too short and the ones that came with the holosun bottomed out and wouldn’t tighten all the way.
Dude I run almost an identical setup to you down to the Enigma Express (sport belt’s a gamechanger) this video helps tremendously. Love my 407k but it is dirty constantly lol. Definitely gonna pick up one of these as an upgrade! Got a like & a sub from me brother 🙏🏼

I'm excited! My off duty is the Glock 43x mos and currently using the Holosun 407k Green 6 moa. I bought that just to get me by till the eps came in and I got to tell you I really like the Green over the red the more I shoot it. How about you?
Was the eps carry only sent to content creator's? I've searched every online store I can think of (CH precision, BDU, Brownells, Amazon, ebay, buds gun shop, sportsman's warehouse, sportsman's guide, midway USA, primary arms, psa, optics planet, cheaper than dirt ( you get the picture) daily for weeks and I can't find any.
I’m having a hard time and hope someone can help. I’m attempting to mount an EPS carry on a p365XL Spectre Comp with no plate. The included fasteners from Holosun have shoulders that are too long to run on the gun without the plate. They bottom out before the optic is locked down. I contacted holosun, they were zero help. Called sig, zero help. Bought M3x12 countersunk machine screws and torqued properly. The optic moves even though the fasteners are torqued and not moving. It’s almost like it needs the shoulders on the Holosun fasteners. CR how did you direct mount without the plate (assuming the xl365 SC uses the same setup)?
@@brians785 I went to a local fastener supply place. Very large and sells everything and bought 2, m3-.5x12 torx screws. I torqued them to 12 inch lbs and they are holding.
I like the fact that the EPS carry has the rear sight notch. Have you tried to shoot any targets using that notch on the sight and the front blade? Is your POI good enough that you would be able to use that notch sight if the dot fails?
I pre-ordered the MRS Green EPS and EPS Carry direct from Holosun. Too bad it won't ship until another month or two. The 2 and 6 MOA versions don't have a solar panel. I demoed the MRS last Sunday for my channel. The 507k/407k cut are the same for EPS/EPS Carry. Best without a plate to get the lowest deck height. Purple Loctite 222 is the best for small screws. I'm carrying a 4" Performance Center Shield Plus.

Hello Preston, I just wanted some advice on my situation. I carry a 43 with z9 mags and I am contemplating buying another edc. Would you recommend buying a 43x lower and s15 mags or should I just buy from a different manufacturer such as a p365, shield plus, etc. Godbless you!
What MOA size did you get? I run the 2 MOA MULTI REDICAL 509 on a bunch of guns but I'm getting a custom P365 XL COMP FDEZ WERX build done and I'm torn between red or green 2 MOA or 6 MOA dot.
I have the p365x slide. Just got my eps carry from C&H. The screws that came with the red dot are too long to mount the sight directly to the slide. There were 3 types of screws included only one set fits the p365. They will work but only while using the included plate it came with. Did you get different screws to direct mount?
@@citizenresponse Nice. The XL is a nice gun but the one thing I wanted was to be able to co-witness. The 407K didn't seem to offer as much of a co-witness. Have you run this on your 43X yet?
Yeah. Sadly the "built-in" sights on the red dots have way too wide of a notch and are too low to be useable. But seeing the front sight in the right spot can help index the red dot. I have my EPS Carry on a CR920 and love the sights on that gun. Moving it to a 365XL to see how I like it on that.
407k is my go to recommendation since I’ve beat the crap out of it and it’s held strong. I think this will be great I just don’t have enough time behind it yet
@@citizenresponse yea I understand. I currently run the 407 and absolutely love it. I just hate how it stays dirty like you mentioned. I have been eyeballing the eps just because of that reason. That’s really the only benefit I see over the 407.

That's EXACTLY why I have NEVER or will NEVER fall for the innovative stuff that comes out & EVERYONE & their ancestry makes a video about it.. I wouldn't depend on ANYTHING under a 4//5 period out in the shooters hands
