I own the HM3X. I prefer it over the titanium model as it is longer and mounted at the very back of my picatinny. I find that the little bit of extra tube length gets the eyepiece closer to my eye when my stock is extended.
I really wish holosun would come out with a 4x and 5x magnifier, perhaps with some ranging or 5.56 holdoff stadia like acog style BDC without touching the center section of course.
I have both of these magnifiers and theyve been great! I have two paired with the Holosun 510, and one paired with an Aimpoint PRO. I prefer the Aluminum offerig simply for the tube length. Also he forgot to mention something that our Lefty Friends will enjoy...you can switch which side the optic flips to by removing the two mounting screws on the bottom and turning tbe optic around. Very simple and straight forward. Cheers!
That’s exactly what I was going to ask for my question would be. Since it’s longer, it may give you the ability to have more relief with your head further back on the stock?
Question - can the magnifiers be flipped on the mounts so they will flip to the left (instead of the right) for us left handed shooters? Thanks - Great reviews on all the Holosun products.
Yup very easy to switch it over, it’s just the two screws at the bottom. We show how to do it in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mQQiMCWO0v0.htmlsi=GzKqA5k7IJBkmxSA
Hey. Bought 2 optics for pistols from you. Great company and service. Just got my first rifle, an AR10 and had a scope installed. I don’t understand red dots and magnifiers for rifles and you did not explain how these are used in conjunction with a red dot on a rifle if they are. Ty.
Watch this for the Holosun rifle lineup: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CI5QdF5auH8.htmlsi=9wcUSORSXZBD4rDZ We’ll make a video explaining red dots plus magnifiers and if you have any questions, hit us up on chat, email, text!
my question is does the aluminum allow for the optic to overhang the charging handle for easier sighting without having to have your face to close to the charging handle?
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but having a titanium housing only increases strength of the body…. It doesn’t do anything to prevent shock damage which is what 99.999% of all causes of destruction will be. So the T model makes no sense to me.
@@TooManyChoices1freedom gorilla posted on another comment saying the the titanium version comes with a titanium housing as well as a titanium mount. So it replaces all the aluminum with titanium, according to them
Does the titanium model come with an upgraded mount? In terms of material? I kind of worry about the durability of the hinge over time and am struggling to find reviews regarding it
How about the difference in eye relief and the eye box? That's arguably the most important thing about a quick flip-up 3x magnifier. I have a HM3X and its pretty forgiving, I wonder if the HM3XT is any better?
@@freedomgorilla1 Actually it is worse on the titanium but not due to optics but rather the optic itself is shorter so you have to mount it even further back to have the same eye relief technically.
I'm New to magnifiers - they have holosun green and Red but the magnifiers are red ? And do you need to sight in the holosun and you also need to sight in the magnifier too? I know they're stupid questions but it's the first time I'm getting them.thank you for your time
Joe it’s not a stupid question. The magnifiers have no reticle. They are basically just monoculars. They do have adjustments on them but I’ve never had to adjust my magnifier. All of does is magnify the red dot you put in front of it.
It’s a great question! Something i was puzzled about too. FOV is the same. I believe the glass is smaller on the titanium one to account for the shorter length. That’s the best i was able to figure it.
@@freedomgorilla1 they have 3xt at shop near me..... I almost bought it 😂. It's funny because I was in there twice yesterday, first time I looked to see if the canik rivals they had were steel frame..... second time I bought a holosun 510c and saw the magnifier. Today I bought a sig Sauer scope for 550. Damn this hobby is expensive.
