I've been getting some emails from some subscribers that we should add a little sea glass to the mix! ...And it just so happens that I got a hot tip on a local sea glass beach so we hit the road to hit the beach!
Today we left the Island in search of Dane Street Beach in Beverly Ma! As soon as we stepped onto the sand we were finding pieces of sea glass everywhere! Some small, some medium and some large. In just under 2 hours we collected quite a haul and a large variety of colors too! Not only did this beach have glass, but it also had shells so of course being the shell lovers that we are we had to stop and check those out too! Oh - and we also found some ocean tumbled pottery! Dane Street Beach did not dissapoint! Wowza!!!

I use the small pieces of glass to decorate small jars to put tea lights in, makes a nice little gift.

The blue muscles kill me, they make it look like broken bits of cobalt everywhere! 🙃. I think I’ve heard that lots of glass was dumped near Gloucester so it makes sense so much churns up there. Love your collections!

Hi Dae! Hahaha - yes, I have been fooled by the blue mussel shells many -a- time! Haha - I'm like BLUE! and then nope...mussel shell! Haha. Yes - there are supposed to be some great sea glass beaches in Gloucester and Maine! I am looking forward to exploring them! Thanks so much for watching!

We have a few lakes close by that I want to go and walk the shores on, but our rivers run fast here from the snow melt coming from our beautiful Wasatch front of the Rocky Mountains. Stinson Beach north of San Francisco is a great beach for sea glass. There is one small area on the beach that is very gravely. You won't typically find large pieces, but you'll find all colors, ie, red, blue, yellow, green, teal, et al.

You are absolutely right about training the eyes when you are used to looking for shells. You do have to switch up what your eyes have been trained to do and it’s hard! I shell like 4x a week and I like shells and sea glass but my eyes usually tend to see the things my mind wants. I was walking my fav beach the other day and this lady came up behind me and said are you stealing my sea glass 😅 I said nah, If I find it I take it but I’m more looking for shells. Well just after she said that I found the most awesome piece of sea glass and gave it to her and she gave me an awesome shell she found. But my point is once she mentioned sea glass it’s like my eyes started looking for that, and boom I found a huge one for her. P.S- I love your voice 😊

Hi Audrey! Yessss! I am also on the hunt for a seahorse and I guarantee I've walked by one at least a few times because it's not what my eyes are trained to see! I love that you both swapped seaglass and shells! Shellers are so super nice! 👌 Thanks for tuning into my videos and thanks for the compliment on my voice! I have a damaged vocal cord so I always sound raspy and people always think I am sick. I get a lot of free cough drops which is like getting free candy 🍬 so it's a total win for me! Two videos. Yay! What a treat. I love stones too. Those conglomerate stones were interesting with the quartz inclusions. And sea glass is fun when there's plenty to choose from. That was a pretty good haul. Have you ever found any “Black sea glass” they look like black rocks but when you shine a light on them it reveals it’s color.
