I’ve always been a fan of Collinite waxes and when I seen you showcase this one I ordered it immediately and it was just delivered now just got to wait for the days of rain to past. I’m so excited to apply it thank you for being us great product reviews.
Again another amazing video Jon, the amazing job you do for all of us is outstanding, I have health issues and because of this I always ask Jon for advice. He's been the kindest most helpful guy on the internet. His reviews are honest and reflect the products scientifically not biased at all, he's respected all over the World and for a very good reason. This is another present for the wife to buy me. Thanks Jon.
Hello Jon, value your opinion so to Amazon I went and picked it up without hesitation. Thoroughly washed my car and gave it a shot, instantly rewarded with streaks, horrible actually. Assumed it a problem with the film on the car so tried in on the raw paint, same thing, streak city and it’s a white car. Used a Rupes yellow pad with Sonax Perfect Finish to buff the streaks on a black filmed mirror, with streaks gone I tried again got a terrific result. Plenty of coatings have been used on my ‘21 GTI, Griots 3 in 1 a favorite and apparently they don’t play well together. All that said the decontamination phase seems critical, with a through wash, clay, polish, IP, and application it works as you’ve stated; I’ll be keeping an eye on its durability. Big thanks for the continually entertaining work, greatly appreciated!!
I would have loved to see this compared to the Meguiars hybrid ceramic wax. With your previous tests, you've found the HCW to be one of the best for hydrophobicity and durability, so it would be an interesting comparison. If Collinite is not significantly better, I'll stick to using TAC Systems Moonlight with either Gyeon wet coat or Meguiars HCW as a topper. All of which were bought thanks to your previous recommendations.
Hi John another great video, here in Australia. We have big details stores that will be the sold distributor that being said. Gyeon is quite cheap here probably along the same price as tw and meg. Now this product is only $40 a bottle which is a little bit more expensive than most but not much.
Because of the high price, I’d love if you could do a long term test on how long it lasts on the shelf. I’m ok paying a lot if I know it’s still gonna be fine to use for several years
@@mattx4253...... Yes £24 is a lot of money for many of us, especially for less than 500ml.... Then you'll have postage on top of it too unless buying a load of stuff
Mine just arrived at Malaysia today immediately I apply it on my car. I ordered it through amazon 2 weeks ago. Super easy to use and hope to see how it perform in Malaysia harsh weather
I'm glad you gave all these a good test, i usually don't have alot of money to buy car products, but i do like to use the best and longer lasting products on my car, i try to chose the ones if they do cost alot, that work the best and i can use them once and awhile because they last longer. Thanks for your review.
Hi Jon, I just finished using this new Collinite product and I would agree with you on this one. What’s your opinion on this up against Koch Chemie SoO2 paint sealant? This was my prior go too. Thanks
I wasn't taking these new Colonite products came out but this got me thinking. After years testing loads of products I settled with these which I rotate: Fusso Coat, King of Gloss, Seal & Shine, Sonax BSD and Done and Dusted SiO2. These work well with my 2-3 times a week rinseless wash regime. 😊
U should rly try Stjarnagloss Parla. It beads BSD in durability, which was quite the shocker for me after topping it always after every wash on the fusso coat. There is a video on youtube also with a long term test where it flawlessly survived BSD.
Been using for a while now, so far things are good! Great water behaviour. As for top ups spray on a damp cloth and apply then wipe off. OK yes use and wash cloths , but the cloth doesn't harden as with some others. As for the price point, they do plan to bring out a US gallon size which would half that bottle price, but depends if the UK distributors go for it. [ can get it for under 20 in the UK but what bumps it up is postage ].
i use 303 !graphene spray sealant for my focus, because my poor focus lives outside all year, and it has held on for a long time!I find with sealants that have graphene alittle goes a long way!
Can't find anywhere that has this in stock. Amazon don't have it anymore, and neither do a couple of others that are advertising it. looks like your review has boosted the sales.
so remember you clay to remove contamination. No point sealing a car thats covered in contamination because the sealant is supposed to reduce that. remember you polish to remove haze and swirls. So only you can answer this question. If your car paint is smooth and silky and glossy. then just wash and dry and seal it. Otherwise you need to do whats called full prep.
amazing video man. how do you compare this to the crowd favorite collinite 845? is beadcoat better? also would a beadcoat + meguiar xpress wax as topper a good combo? (xpress wax to be used every wash as maintenance)
Collinite was my first go to wax, 476s and Insolator wax, both great products and very good value for money. Would like to try this, shame on pricing, SIO2 products are expensive though. Would like to see a Snow foam in their range.
yer its actually below the market average for this genre of product in price. dunno felt expensive with what I picked to compare it to. but I have it a group test coming soon.
Love that you’re letting your hair grow out Jon👀👌. By the way I’m bald all over like Paul Dolden 👍Never mind I see 2 days later you go a great haircut 👀
Looks awesome and will be trying it for sure , at the moment Jon i use Autobrite hardcoat and this is very very good at a lot cheaper price . Have you seen this or tested it ? be nice to know your thoughts on the product .
Looks impressive Jon! Be interesting to see how it compares to SiRamik Lustrous+ Graphene Spray Sealant which is a very comparable product, priced similarly as well.
I got my bottle of Beadcoat today. I tested it on a panel and found the initial wipe to be a little tacky, but smooths out during the second and final wipe. I was using a fluffy towel and maybe a shorter nap microfiber would help a bit. This product really reminds me of BSD. It has a similar removal feel and crazy hydrophobic beading like BSD. Anyone else see the similarities?
Hi Jon, newly here. Fab video. Question. I am about to put on my first ceramic coat of cquartz 3.0 uk. It came with reload 2. Having seen this video, I’m wondering weather to bother with reload v2 or just get this instead to top things up in 6 months time? Thoughts? Also how does this compare to cancoat? Cheers
Looks like a great product 👍🏼 How is this different to the spray on rinse off type stuff, like BH Touch-On? Looks great to use, but I’ve been impressed with the longevity of Touch-On, given its ease of use. Cheers, GaryB
Maybe a more fair comparison would be against Gyeon Can Coat Evo. Even that product can get a little testy, esp if the can has been opened for a while. This looks to be as easy as Griots Best in Show!! There is an elephant in the closet I have discovered with Gyeon Can Coat Evo. It has a definite shelf life that no 845 etc ever had!
can coat evo is a light weight ceramic. this beadcoat is water based. but I actually have a video coming soon thats relevent to this trying to strip them both
@ForensicDetailing I bought 2 bottles and will try it on 4 vehicles at end of season. This stuff has gotten so good. I see no need for more. If it gives you 12 months v 6, I think the price becomes quite commensurate with the durability
I'd love to try this. Can you put it over a ceramic coating? All my cars are currently coated, so probably don't need this. Although one of them is coming up for 4 years, so could probably do with a top up anyway.
@@laurapalmerTDGE On one motor I have Gtechniq, and the other has Gyeon. The Gyeon one is only a couple years old, and still looks quality. The Gtechniq is coming up for 4 years now, and while still good, and obviously still there doing something, it probably needs a top up.
Mate the power of your channel has made this product sold out on Ebay and amazon a d most other websites .... can some send me a link to a UK supplier of this as it's sold out if everywhere I look 😂😮
@@ForensicDetailing Happens all the time, once John releases a positive review on a product its sold out everywhere. You have to be quick! I literally cant find this product anywhere in the UK
Looks like a great product Jon. BUT............. When factoring in the cost and a 24 hour cure time, you might aswell just apply a full ceramic coating I think?
the cure time is not a factor really mate. you put it on and you buff it immedietly. all these spray sealants then go through a process of curing but within minutes they cured enough to not really need to worry. its really just a piece of advise so you can max durability out.
@ForensicDetailing thanks Jon. That is interesting to know. I'm formulating plans for what I want to do in preparation for my new car when it finally arrives from the manufacturer.
C2V3 have the potential to last about a year in real world conditions. Another youtuber did a longterm test with it and many other products on a bonnet. Would love to see an indepth comparison with Collinite ceramic spray and the other class leaders.
Probably!what is it? The best lager in the world more to the point am I being a bit of a spotter when I’ve got a good wax on there? Do I need it? Really?
Hi John, did u had a chance tried a OPT Optimum Ultra CERAMIC Seal ?? if not I think you will be much more amaze with hydrophobic and especially with slickness and durability plus this product really boosts colour of sprayed panel. 6 months last if diluted 1:1 3 months. Your BMW will be shine like a star :).
@@ForensicDetailing yes you right, next time when I go on holiday I will bring more bottles and if u interested I can posted to you a bottle on me for you, I`m sure you will be very amaze, also you will have opportunity make another honest video about this sealant, I think you enjoy making those videos and tests.
@@ForensicDetailing thanks for the reply mate, this really looks like a solid all rounder, nearly purchased ahead of your video last week, now I can’t get hold of any!
Is there an alternative i can buy that isnt put on and washed off like the others, i like the idea of me needing to use a cloth etc to put it on with. Meguires hybrid ceramic wax would have been my ideal choice but not the idea of spraying on and jet washing off.
it will interfere with any surface you put it on mate. It will shrink any mineral desposits there and leave a layer or PDMS on top which will alter hydrophobics of the base layer.
@ForensicDetailing Well, technically, it's yours, haha 😄. If that video hadn't dropped there would be loads left.....but then we'd probably have never known how good it was 😉
impossible to answer without testing. but its the ease of use and the feel of it as it goes down on the paintwork thats ace. And then after this the protective performance is top draw. Just try it. Goes on like silk.
Hi Jon, I’ve been using bead maker for the last couple of years I really like the gloss and it lasts months for me in U.K. how does this stuff compare and can I put it straight on over the top of bead maker ?
Any tips on how to use it, eg does it need time to harden? I have used it and found if you touch it after with anything harsher than a micro fibre cloth, it marks?
no mate spray on spray. buff. thats it. dont wash for 24 hours. I dont know what you mean bu it marks. If you touch, clean glossy paint you will leave finger prints in it. If you mean your scratching it afterwards when you touch it then thats not a product thing mate.
