Everyone Holy Cross City 4x4 Trail has been on my bucket list for many years and the time came to set out and accomplish that trail. This was a mix of difficult to extreme off-roading that rewards you with beautiful views, colorful history, and unique water crossings. This was an amazing trail and I would highly recommend it to anyone that has a rig that is capable to complete it.

Why would even question if others in a Jeep would help or not. DUDE! I've never met someone on a trail that wouldn't lend a hand.

Agreed, I went there from LA on a weekday back in 2000. Waited at the bottom of the trail and a couple of guys in jeeps from Wyoming showed up about a half an hour later. Hardest trail I ever took and I became great friends with those two guys. Never met a jeep driver that wasn’t friendly and would not help!!

I really miss Colorado. I was stationed in Colorado Springs between 2010-13 and I really hope I can go back there. There is so much wheeling that I missed out on while I was there. Im currently in Northern California, about 2 hours from the Rubicon, so I'm making up for it as much as I can.

One of the trails I didn’t go to that I wanted to try. Unfortunately I had to move away from this beautiful state of 50 years and will miss the few perks of getting up early in the morning, meeting with the jeep club at the bottom of the hill and do our checklists, radio/CB chats, focusing hard on the trail hoping not to run into an axle-breaking rut, digging out and towing someone who was stuck in the snow which buried the trail from a spring avalanche, and have a long hearty campfire supper with your buddies at the end of your day. Thank you for showing me what I missed out. Shout out to the MHJC. Miss you guys after a short term.

Holy Cross is one of my favorite trails. I did it (up to French Creek) in a 302 powered Ranger. By then though, because of the altitude (I was running a junk Edelbrock "off road" carb) I parked it and rode up the rest of the way with one of my partners. I want to try it in my Explorer next. Love that trail.

Don’t forget, you can (almost) always ease the pain of passing over big boulders by track building with smaller rocks between them. At 10:29 there seemed to be plenty of rocks available, fit for the purpose. The advantage over mats is that they tend to lock in place and won’t skid out on you like the traction mats almost always do when used on rocks. Great video and psyche of approach to a lone run on an unfamiliar trail. New sub here from a Brit living in Romania❤️🇷🇴🇬🇧👍🏻

The Jeep just had the standard V6, I don't have any plans to do an engine swap as I'd prefer to keep the main engine components stock for parts interchangeability.
