Erm, very likely not 😅. The idea seems to be two-fold: 1. Jesus is One Person with Two Natures: human and divine aka, he is “Fully God and Fully Man”.” To describe these two natures of the One Person called Jesus, the early church coined the phrase: “The Hypostatic Union”. As such, Jesus (likely in his humanity and not his divinity) was very most likely talking to God the Father, and NOT to Himself (I mean, it would probably make less sense for him to be talking to himself right? After all he’s not schizophrenic 😅) The Son is One with the Father, but He is distinct from Him, otherwise he would really just be talking to himself and there would be no need for the demarcation of “Father, Son and Spirit” Ergo, Trinity. God is One being (or essence), three Persons (which share the same nature I.e. co-equal, co-eternal etc). Secondly on the cross : Jesus was likely quoting from Psalm 22 knowing that the scribes and Pharisees who were mocking him would understand the reference. Have a read of Psalm 22 - it starts with “My God My God why have you forsaken me” and it goes on to literally describe what was happening at the crucifixion AND it was written by David more than 600+ years prior. The crucifixion was the fulfilment of various prophecies. Psalm 22 is one of those scriptures that was pointing to Christ and He literally quoted it on the cross. That’s pretty dope in my opinion. Tons that could be said, but hopefully that was a little bit helpful 🙏🏾
