As we celebrate the love and mercy of God on the 5th Sunday of Easter, Friar Michael D’Cruz, OFM, during his homily, relates an amusing anecdote about how he obtained a letter of recommendation from his parish priest to join the Franciscans, and explains how this story connects with the scene in today's gospel reading.
By their acts of love and sacrifice, our mothers show us the way to return to our true home in the heart of God and celebrate the friendship we have with the Lord.
