I... am not a good person. I watch these react videos for the panic. I'm at the 8:30 mark and I am looking forward to that moment when what you're experiencing is going to outstrip your faith in your ability to describe it and put it in context. At 9:58, you can see the shadow cast by Kyle's own imposter syndrome as it goes over his face. There's the moment when some of the surprise and joy leaks out and worry comes in. Don't feel called out, Kyle. You and your brother _are_ doing a great job in this video. This part of the song does the exact same thing to every artist who listens to it with intent to give their own perspective. I didn't learn to call it "the shadow cast by imposter syndrome crawling across their face" watching _this_ video. I've been doing this for days. It hits Eric's face ten seconds later. Same expression, actually. Definitely brothers in spirit. I'm not just watching emotional gore videos, though. I'm also here for that moment around 10:58 when Kyle is fully taken out of his job and is living in the moment. Glorying and believing in what he's watching. That's a universal part of the experience too, and it's even more fun than the panic. Alas, the best review for this song has already been written. It lives as a comment on the original video. "You will never be the next Jimmy Hendrix. You are already the first Ren."

Did anyone anticipate being pulled in and so deeply involved with a single person on a single set, with one guitar... yet you feel like you've just seen an entire play or movie. This young man is phenomenal.

My favorite part of the like 40 "Hi Ren" reactions I've seen is that by the time Ren says, "I'm a genius," all the reactors give a look that says, "Yep, that's fair. Agreed."

He did a trilogy of a story. The order is: Jenny's tale, Screech's tale and Violet's Tale. It's a performance as well, it shows his storytelling ability! Please react to those story's in that order it's insanely good!

Ren gives me faith in the future of music

Ren is suffering with Lyme disease and has just flown out to Canada to receive treatment for the next 6-12 Months, Ren was misdiagnosed for years as having Bipolar disorder as his illness has not only affected his body but damaged his brain so he has suffered with episodes of Psychosis. Whilst receiving his treatment he is releasing this collection of art (I will not call it an album as it so much more) with this and many of his videos Ren does one take performances live which is incredible. If you want to dive further down the rabbit hole that is Ren I would highly recommend doing the Jenny’s tale, Screech’s tale and Violets tale (in that order) In my opinion this is the greatest trilogy story I have ever come across. Appreciate your reaction guys

The world needs music like this. Not autotuned, not highly edited, just pure emotion and talent. Someone that actually cares about his art. I admit I listened to a 30 seconds of this and skipped over it.... but it kept popping up and I gave it another go. Holy shit... this guy is so fucking original and deserves all the credit he gets. I don't know if anyone will ever understand just how many lives Ren saved with this song. I watched as entire online communities came together to shine a light on all the things he brings up in this song, all the ignored mental and physical health issues people suffer through silently. Those communities have grown to do some wonderful things to this day. I remember finding this song myself. I had never heard him before. I was in a terrible place mentally, as so many were, and this piece gave me hope and life. He really is a beacon of hope for countless people around the globe. If this man doesn't make it into the history books, I will be severely disappointed in humanity.

I’m addicted to this song. Every time I listen to it my heart races. It’s like being swept up in a whirlwind and being spat out the other side. This hit me hard. I have even more respect for Ren because I am chronically unwell and have CF. Ren has pushed with all his might to produce his work. His body will feel heavy and flu like, no doubt 24/7. I doubt he sleeps well. It creates alot of anxiety and is mentally challenging. Chronic conditions are really hell to live with. He expresses that hell here and he can because he has been there. I love him ❤

I'm 52 and I got sick in navy 91, as I've fought, raged , broke, pulled myself back up, then to some level accepted that my body is broken. Autoimmune illnesses rheumatoid arthritis sjogrens fibromyalgia dysautonomia p.o.t.s dercums disease hypogammaglobulinemia trigeminal neuralgia, seizures and complex chronic migraine. So many comorbidities too many to list. The song explains perfectly. In the beginning, you doubt it. Then you freak out then get pissed. The why me, depression. But as someone smart once said lol. " you never know how strong you are until you don't have a choice ". I'm so glad ren discovered it was Lyme disease and is getting treatment. Not knowing what is attacking you is a bad place. Dr the other day ( one I've been seeing 18 years said "yeah a medical student asked me how to describe Autoimmune illnesses to someone... I told him good thing, atleast it's not cancer. Bad thing, it's not cancer" I busted out laughing because although very dark humor it's perfect way. You realize when taking dozen tablets a day, infusions of chemical the nurses put on protective wear just to connect i.v,, that this is your life. Sick boi ren speaks about a drs visit and what's really going on inside the mind. Feelings that you keep to yourself. Some drs need new reminder of their oath " first do no harm" and understand that it isn't just physical harm they can cause. To anyone still with me I send you love , human to human, we've gotta stuck together to get thru the sh it. Take care

I have become OBSESSED with Ren in the last few weeks. I love his trilogy but money game is also really good but my all time favorite is chalk outlines. He's an amazing artist who unfortunately was diagnosed with Lyme disease when he was starting to get his footing with his music. I'm so excited to see where he goes now

This video is beautifully simple but its SO enthrallingly rich of a performance. Every facet of this performance was well polished and thoughtful and it's baffling how he sings, plays guitar, raps, acts out 2 characters brilliantly, has such a raw and powerful message, perfect execution, pacing, utilization of tension etc. I've seen more reactions to this song than I'm proud of and I'm always awe struck at the performance.

I have listened to this song so many times and you have to watch it several times to really take in everything and appreciate the video. When he's fighting with the dark the lights are going off and on, the production put into this video takes it to the next level, then you take the lyrics, this is a full package song and is truly something special and so powerful. Gives me chills every time.

I just reacted to this yesterday! I was overwhelmed with so many emotions that I still can't quite put my finger on it completely. This, is Performance Art at it's finest! It hit HARD! This is the best video I have ever seen! If there were Oscars for this type of material, this would get one, and deservedly so. It is ridiculous, but I am frightened to watch other videos by Ren - I know I will, but I'll have to work myself up to it. Not sure I have ever seens something like it. i have gone on to watch it an untold amount of times. What I really take away is the enormous talent Ren has. I just have to say thank you so much for starting your channel. It's almost the embodiment of my inner child, when it hears a song that speaks so deeply and with such substance, emotion... this channel is the fist one I think about and am excited to get to.
