@@victorianguyen6620 I'm not a fan of smoking because it's objectively unhealthy, but it's not defined as sinful. One might argue that it's not very prudent though, but I clicked for the holy topics (outside the context of a homily, which is their usual RU-vid content) not the smoke

Well, here are some others that you can be annoyed at.: Pope St. Pius X, St. John Bosco, St. Phillip Neri, St. Joseph of Cupertino, St. John Vianney, and Pope St. John XXIII all purportedly enjoyed tobacco. St. Teresa of Avila is another. Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati has a pipe in his mouth in half of his pictures. One day, St. Bernadette brought her snuff box at recreation one day, which scandalized another sister. She said, “Oh, Sister Marie-Bernard, you will never be canonized.” “Why not?” asked St. Bernadette “Because you snuff. That bad habit almost disqualified St. Vincent de Paul.” “And you, Sister Chantal,” twinkled Sister Marie-Bernard in reply, “you are going to be canonized because you don’t indulge.” St. Josemaria Escriva exhorted his Opus Dei members to smoke in order to have better conversation with other professional people. There is, in fact, even a patron saint of tobacco-St. Fiacre. The series is called HOLY SMOKE for a reason. Many priests and laymen sit down with their pipes in hand to have a good and "HOLY" conversation on Theology. Fr. Joseph is an excellent priest. I will not stand quiet while you malign his name because you lack the knowledge of the Faith. We are not Puritans. ...and by the way, many of you follow Fr Ripperger ... surprise.... you guessed it... he smokes cigars and and has a drink occasionally! You owe Father Joseph an apology! Fr. Joseph, you know I don't care for smoking, but I'm about ready to sit down with you and have a puff off your pipe! It is not a sin to have tobacco, people.... just look at the choir above!!!!

Don't forget to ask St Bernadette how purgatory was since she chewed tobacco, St Therese because she took snuff???
