I’m a newbie here, I just received my HS720E today my brother has lots of experience and he sent me this video that I keep re watching to memorize everything and already drove my drone today and ufffff not a single accident, not bad for first time user. 🤙🏼
I just bought this and the code worked for me. However, not really paying attention to the discount when I checked out and paid I realized I only got 15% off not 25% :(
Excellent video and flight test. I have had this drone for a month now and weather kept me from flying for a couple weeks. Went out yesterday with grandkids and it was awesome. 8 year old flew the drone without issues and it was grins all the way! Nice drone, buy one...you won't regret it!
Donnie, that is an awesome drone!! As I said in the last comment to the other video, I am going back through some of the older videos and watching. This drone has a lot of great features, like tracking you, that would be awesome when walking and getting footage. Just so many features and flight time!! Again, thanks for all the reviews you do bud. Juddie - J & J TOA
Hi! And thank you for getting back to me. The 2nd time nothing was in the area. I actually called HS today and they sent me to your RU-vid video. 😊 I will try again this weekend. I know this drone is a good one so I won’t give up. Funny, I’ve been in construction for 35 years and can build you a house but I can’t fly this doggone drone. I hope the 3rd time is a charm. Thanks again. If I don’t get it this time, I may just fly you to Philly. 😊
Your welcome, I know you will get it. It took me a week solid flying the SYMA x5c when I started. With gps drones sometimes can be a little difficult with the gps compasses. These drones are still not professional grade, so they sometimes needs to be recalibrated if it acts up on the first take off. I had problems at a place I like to fly, the soil is high iron content. The soil would interfere with the drones calibration. The soil would even set my metal detector off. Well I hope all goes well, if not then have it refunded or replaced.
Many thanks for these videos. Bought a 720E over a year ago but forgot all the basics . After watching your videos I'm up and running fine. Cheers from the other side of the pond here in the UK.
Just ordered this same one on Ebay today. You're not the only one giving thumbs up to this drone, but I needed more convincing and your video was the cherry on top. Thanks for the review. Greetings from Puerto Rico.
Any information on the drone would be appreciated the one that does not have the e model is 75dollars cheaper please let me no the difference before ordering from Amazon Mike Holden out of north Carolina said that thanks again
My son bought me this drone for Christmas. What a cool little device! Thanks for the great video. It makes me feel a lot more comfortable flying it around!
I've never owned a drone. I did research for a few days and landed on buying this one. Ordered it yesterday THEN I decided to start watching reviews. How backwards right lol? I'm glad your review made me feel better about the purchase, it arrives tomorrow. Great review! Thanks!
I should've ordered the extra battery though lol. Enjoying this thing for 25 minutes at a time then having to wait 5-7 hours ir the charge ain't cool lol
I think it's really awesome drone really nice and like you said the camera is like it's got a gamble stabilisation is excellent on it I like my friend and flies really well and the video is really clear steady and stable that definitely is a nice little quad I like it alot nice job on the flight review I enjoy that also your videos are always excellent you do a tremendous job on him and I enjoy it take care of my friend I hope you're doing well be safe and have a wonderful and blessed day and happy flying bro
@@BIGDRONEFLYER77RC you're welcome my brother try to wear face masks or something so you won't have to breathe all that ashes and smoke take care and I'll see you soon have a wonderful and blessed day bro
Great job on the video. I wish you lived near me. I flew my drone twice this past Sunday and first time took off, flew into trees, came back, thank God! Second time took it out in the middle of large field, it took off again, flew into trees about 120 yards away, hit trees and dropped on its back. I got lucky both times.
Just make sure your not around any high 5g towers. Also make sure when you calibrate the gps compass, that there is no metal close to the drone. Like concrete, your phone, that will Interfere with the Drones’ calibration. Thanks so much for watching and I hope you get it figured out. If you keep having problems then you may have to just contact Amazon or holystone and get a replacement.
Just wanted to say, such a damn cool video. You did a very nice job and now I feel like I finally have the confidence to go out and fly and get some cool footage. Thanks for producing it.
I got one in past few days and flew it yesterday. Man it was windy as heck, so not a good idea to fly during higher winds, especially around obstacles. I flew it again today with much prettier weather. This thing will sit in one spot for the whole battery life. Super easy to fly if you've flown anything before. I think my headless mode got turned on and had me out of whack, but I know where to fix that. Good review.
Nice "initial" review video, thanks for sharing. Impressive how capable such a small device is, with the winds that high up etc. and it remains stable so that you can view images clearly. Go Sac. I'm pretty close to you in Dixon, CA. So here we are about a year later, how has this Drone behaved so far?
Finally got a winner there Donnie. Better than the last couple of lemons. Curious, do you still have that Upair One you did a review on a couple years ago? I have one but never fly it much since I got my Mini and MA2.
I don’t have it anymore, I got rid of it a year ago or so. Thanks so much, I need to get my MA2 up in the air. DJI sent it back and send the firmware issues are solved. I have so nd filters I need to review for the company Freewell.
Great learning tool. I watched your unboxing review of this drone and ordered it on Amazon. I'm a prime member so it will be here Thursday. I'll be watching this a couple more times before it gets here so I can take in all the information you just covered. Thanks.
ordered mine nov 15th 2021 and got it nov 17th 2021 on my birthday. first ever drone and your vid helped me get flying. now to just get it registered lol
Super review. I am new to Drones and you answered so many questions about the capabilities and flight potential of the HS720E. Thank you for putting in my legwork and now I will let Ms. Santa know what Mr. Santa needs under the tree. Say positive and test negative, Merry Christmas.
@@BIGDRONEFLYER77RC Thanks for the video, and information. I'm new to drones, just about 3 weeks with a HS175D, a couple of crashes survived, and only just beginning to get comfortable with flying my drone. I plan to stick with the HS175D while learning, but watch a lot of videos, and think (for now) the HS720E might be a good 'next upgrade' for me, in time. I appreciate that you have discussed here, more than one detail that is not readily available in the (HS175D's) manual....ie Clockwise vs counter clockwise rotation during calibration. Lots of others making reviews, seem to assume that they're talking to other 'experienced drone operators', and gloss over many details (seemingly) to them mundane, but still unknown and important to many of us just trying to learn. I've yet to find a good video on the 175D, that discusses (for instance) the exact sequence of turning on the drone with a fresh batter,y and through the steps that will lead to reliable, successful acquisition of satellites and green light on the phone (app) screen, ready to unlock and fly. Seems like every day, I have trouble at first acquiring satellites and getting green light atop screen of the app. After the first time, then often get satellites very easily in subsequent flights. I've had to turn off the drone, close the app, and turn off the controller and just start over 2,3, or four times at the start of a flight session or new day, in order to 'get connected'. Can't figure if it's me and my 'pre-flight' routine, or the drone/transmitter? Anyways, thanks for the video on the HS720E. Really enjoyed it, and will be looking at your other videos soon. Don
Thanks for watching, I still have to review the hs175 I was sent back in June. Hopefully I can get to it soon, I’m just having medical issues atm. Thanks again and hopefully I can get this hs175 up and flying good.
@@BIGDRONEFLYER77RC Hope you're feeling better soon. As a side note, I have the HS175D is the upgraded version of the hs175. It now has brushless motors and is black color instead of white. Thanks, Don.
Oh my goodness, I used to love that Syma too. that X5C was the best. LOL. I just received my HS720e and loving it. This thing is so smooth it is pleasantly surprising. Keep flying BigDrone. Salute
Thank you so much for watching and for the awesome comment. So many of us learn to fly those drones off of the x5c. I’m glad you enjoy the hs720e. Cheers
I was given a HS720E for Christmas. My wife consulted with my son and he found this to be one of the best for a beginner. We've had snow on the ground for a couple of weeks so I'm getting anxious to try it out. Thank you for your great videos. I had read the manual several times but still picked up some great info from your video.
Your welcome, once you get the hang of it and you will enjoy it. Just take your time, make small movements with the controls when filming and you will be fine. Watch for birds, seagulls, hawks, etc… they love to attack at times. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year.
@@BIGDRONEFLYER77RC Well, I was able to get out and fly the 720 today. I went slow, did some square, horizonal patterns, worked on up and down movements, did some circles and shot a 360 degree video from about 60 feet and snapped a couple of pictures. Photos and video look great and flight was very enjoyable. I knew if I turned the head towards me, everything would be backwards which was good practice. It is odd, for sure. Thanks again for all you do.
Awesome review my brother. Mine is on it's way. After watching this, I can't wait to review it. HolyStone definitely stepped up their game with this one, it looks like it has a gimbal and the video you shot was smooth as silk!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
SOUL FORCE QUADS Thanks so much DJ, hopefully the smoke clears along the coast. I want to go take it to my parents property and shoot some video of the ocean
Camera Software yes. But look and frame style is different. The bugs has its camera on the outside bottom as well and this is hs720e is in the nose. I’m sure it’s the same just different body.
@@BIGDRONEFLYER77RC Thanks! I'm in Canada and have to register due to weight. I passed the basic written exam. I've flown the HS120D with a little success, heavy on the little lol Question please? Do you use only Ophelia Go or do you also use the M RC Pro Mod?
Hi Donni, I am new to your channel here and this video was a really great video of the 720E. I've been wanting to get a drone for pretty much the sole purpose of having it in a SHTF scenario, doing some reconnaissance checks from a short distance away. With all this civil unrest crap going on, I want to keep a drone in my trunk just in case shit goes down where I work, I work near the downtown in my area and we're experiencing some of this civil unrest crap too close to my work, with these so-called "peaceful protesters" and its getting a little unsettling nowadays and getting worse. So, having a drone would be a good thing to have so I could put it up in the air to just scout a safe route home as the local police won't tell us which streets are being blocked off. I also saw a fantastic video of the Mini the other day from the RU-vid channel The Urban Prepper who did a great video of the Mini and how he uses Dronelink with it and that video alone is prompting me to buy the Mini. I like the fact its packed into a small enough case that I can carry it in my backpack which I keep with me at all times at work. But I really like your presentation and so my question is...do you know if Dronelink will work with this Holy Stone 720E?? Great video and thanks for taking the time to share...and yes, we're dealing with the smoke down here in SoCal as well. Thanks again and be safe... James
Thanks James for watching, this is a nice flying and easy to use drone. Just remember the faa rules of flying over people, it’s a big fine and dangerous. If you have 450 you can also buy a DJI Mavic mini that is a sold drone as well. For the price this will do the job. Cheers and be safe.
Your going to like it, it’s a nice drone. Still in low speed when your looking to get that cinematic look. Sport mode is more for hurrying to get to a spot or out. Cheers and thanks for watching.
I have the original 2.5k version and the 4k version both not stabilized the video quality is so much better with the EIS version. They are good flyers but the EIS makes filming actually useable.
Thanks for the video, I’m ready to buy my first drone for my birthday 🥳 I believe this one would be a good start, how long does the regular battery last ? Do you think I should buy an extra battery ( íes ) ? Thanks
Thanks for watching, you should be able to get good 16 mins or more. I always like to have 2 batteries, you just never know if your going to need it. Thanks again and check on a dji mini or mini 2 as well, some times you can fine a professional drone on sale. Cheers!
If this one does not work out for you, I would get a Dji. It’s well worth saving for, so return this one if you end up not happy with it. With the Dji it’s like flying a caddie out of all drones.
That’s good, that’s why I have a Dji . I review these drones, but when there as much as a Dji that’s crazy. These are still considered toy grade drones and I try letting everyone know. Drawings are getting affordable now that it’s better to just get a professional drum for the same price. Glad you’re getting the DJI. Have fun my friend upgrade later to a mavic air 2. That’s been my favorite drone so far.
Have you replaced the arm and motor yet? Mine crashed after an unexplained 180 degree flip right after auto take off and smashed to the ground. The replacement arms and motor show just the arm and motor, but the HolyStone video show the wiring loom cut and a new one threaded back in and re-soldered. HolyStone hasn't yet returned my e-mail. The arems and motors are available on Amazon or E-Bay at about 34 bucks.
If you bought it from Amazon, you should be able to replace the drone all together. I haven’t had any problems with mine, you sure your propellers are on the right motors? I had that happen to me before. I would definitely contact Amazon and request a replacement or refund. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you get it sorted out.
Thanks for watching and I totally understand. With the 25% coupon and 20$ off at checkout, that brings the price to $239.99 usd. The price will drop more, it just come out. Just like DJI , look how cheap the spark and Mavic mini has gotten. Thanks for watching
Looks like I just made the decision. Cheers for the video. Your code isn't working in the UK however there is a 20 gbp voucher to apply on amazon now so happy days 😉 Regards from UK
That’s great, did my affiliate link switch to UK for you ok? I added UK and Canada to my affiliate program now, that way it should automatically switch to your country. If you did order from my link I do appreciate that a lot, it helps me be able to earn money to help buy products for my channel. Cheers and have a great weekend.
What's the difference in the price of the drone if you don't purchase the e model the regular one that's not the e model is cheaper they want over 3 hundred for the one you are working with thinking about purchasing one could you tell me the difference I could save 75 dollars too go with the other model would like too no before ordering Amazon has both could I get by with the cheaper one please let me no great video as always I purchased the 120 d after watching your video on it luv the holy stone and you do such a great job thanks for all your videos I watch before ordering thanks again and keep the great work up Michael Holden out of north Carolina said that any information would be greatly appreciated thanks again
Nice drone review. Which is better to buy? That holystone or dji mavic mini? Both are on my budget capacity. Do we need to register it? Even if I'm not going to use it here in canada. I'm planning to use it only when I go to vacation in the Philippines and leave it their.
Hello how are you? I have a question. I have this drone when i fly it it keeps shaking from the air. I can’t get a stable video . I can’t get a video like yours . Can you help please? Thanks
I don't see many Wi-Fi signal bars on my Samsung S8+ once I connect. The camera works, as I see it in the Phone. IS the Drone supposed to also connect to a home Wi-Fi too?...Thanks fellow Sacto guy!!!!
The drones WiFi to your phone only, no house WiFi. The WiFi sign is at the top of your phone to right. It is a WiFi 3 line logo when your on the drones app.
Awesome video! I’m looking to get into drone photography and it’s down to this machine or the DJI mini 2. The extended range of the mini 2 is enticing - but not required for what I’m looking to photograph. Question: what’s the quality like of still images taken by the drone? It’s hard to find any info on this end. Cheers
The photos look good, I took photos in this video. It’s not going to be as good as the dji with this drone. This drone your unable to shoot in manual mode, so your at the Mercy of the manufacture settings.
I wish this drone was out when I purchased the HS720 2K version. I enjoy flying mine but as the months go on, the remote left joystick has a bit of a sticking problem which is bad when flying. The video feed distances is horrible and from video, that hasn’t changed. Just like mine, great starter drone but you will be looking for something better like I did.
Thanks for watching, I’m just reviewing this one for HolyStone. I have my DJI Mavic air 2 and other dji’s for my professional filming. This is a great drone for someone going from beginner and heading towards the Intermediate hobby grade gps brushless drone. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend
Really nice review. I'm liking this too. My Hubsan h501s has been acting up since I changed out a motor and esc board. I have a second one for parts. Something is causing different colored flashing lights, while on the air. I like the camera control on the transmitter here. I've never had one with that feature yet. Liking the video quality and stability. I might get one of these soon. I still fly my x5c too. I have one coming from the wish app, because that particular brand has the rapid spin, in the high speed mode. It spins fast like a helicopter, lol. Plus it has the red and blue lights. I like those better. It's still a fun drone to fly once and awhile. It's the one I learned to fly with. And how I learned repair drones. It's an extremely simple drone to fix. Now a days, instead of popping the hood of a '69 Chevy, I pop the hood on a Hubsan, and nothing is where it's supposed to be, much like in cars, lol. Gonna check out the link. Great job, thank you!
Wow thank you so much for the amazing comment. I miss Working on my 71 Chevelle super sport. So now I fly drones and rebuild RC cars, it’s cheaper and still a lot of fun. Thanks again and happy new year.
Nice aerial footage don, I returned my hs470 its a nice drone but the app doesn't work normall it has too much lags ,so I decided to change it to HS720e, its coming within a week direct from holy Stone.
That’s great, and if any problems. Holystone has great costumer service. Note on those smooth shots I made in my hs720e Cinematic filming video. I was in the lowest speed so to get the smooth footage. I only use the sport mode to get from point A to B, the sport mode will show some movement in the video. Well enjoy your drone when you get it. So you can see that video in my holystone playlist, this drone really surprised me when I made the other video. Take can and thanks for watching.
@@BIGDRONEFLYER77RC Thanks in advanced for the tips, and advice, have you tried the tripod mode (i saw one video in here in RU-vid, im not sure if its in the flight feature or he just did it manually.. 😊
@@BIGDRONEFLYER77RC im very closed with the HolyStone staff, actually they sent me this Hs720e as a gift, just paying the tax and the shipping fee.. I'm returning there kindness by promoting there products.
I have several Phantom 3's and 4's , a couple of hubsans and I just spent the morning ordering the Holystone 720E, for less than half the price of those others. It looks like, from these reviews I'm watching, that it will be money well spent. I do have one question tho, what kind of range can you get out of it?
Thanks Mitch for watching. I have not done a range test yet. I been out only 400 meters while filming, I haven’t had anyone to help spot me. So only line of sight for now.
I’ve just bought this for me first ever drone, I’m super excited to get it in the air but I’m UK based so not sure as weather is very unpredictable here. Also subscribed to you, can you tell me the range on them please? Thanks and good videos
I was looking at the dji Mavic mini and Mavic mini 2 but they don't have the Follow me feature. That's key for my skating footage but this holy stone 720e does and the video quality looks way better than the 720. Getting this instead of the Mavic mini. This is exactly what I need. A quality budget mini drone that has good video quality with a follow me feature. 👍
Thanks for watching. The best drone for follow me, is the skydio 2. I really want one for some fast pace following, but there 1500 bucks😞 Too much money. Take care my friend and thanks again.
Forgive me in case I sound dumb, but this drone does connect to android devices. Mobile and tablets. I've just been trying to get as much info as I can before purchasing one! Many thanks
Yes as long as your devices support duel 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz Wi-Fi . The drone puts out its own 5g Wi-Fi so you have to have 5g Wi-Fi and not 5g service.
Nice video!!!! Just curious if in follow me mode, I want to use it in the Desert to follow me on my motorcycle. Do I have to use the controller or will my phone work? Thanks
Hi Captain! I am curious Holystone HS720 E versus MJX Bugs 20 EIS comparison, who will win? they seem to be both identical in the camera department. Thanks!
I prefer the HolyStone hs720e over the MJX bugs 20. The hs720e is foldable and I feel is a better flyer. Next week I will be reviewing the mjx bugs 12 eis. Which it’s more like the HolyStone hs720e, so look forward to that review soon. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend.
Bought one of these, and it's great; however, had a little mishap while flying indoors with one of my curtains. Was wondering if you knew of any aftermarket blade guards that I can attach to the arms. Holy Stone doesn't appear to have any for this particular model.
is it me or did the orbit mode just spin in a circle, maybe I'm misunderstanding but when i hear orbit mode you would think it would go around a central object not stay in play and spin.
I've watched a few of your videos now, very informative. One question I have though is a friend of mine recently got the DJI Mavic Mini (reason I want a drone). I loved using his and wondering would this be far off that quality? To be honest I'm all about the camera I want a drone for aerial photos so seeing this is 4K and has image stabilisation I'm thinking it will be good enough. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
The Mavic mini 2 is coming out today, it will have 4K now. I would just get the mini 1 or the mini 2 if you can. If not this is not bad of a drone, but dji is much better.
@@BIGDRONEFLYER77RC thanks for the input. I'm thinking I might go with the Holystone to familiarise myself with drones and early next year get a bigger DJI Drone
@@BIGDRONEFLYER77RC exactly my fear, I was looking at the DJI Mavic 2 but it's €1500 & I'd lose my mind if I got it and lost/broke it from not knowing what I am doing at first. I'll be back to this channel before I upgrade, subscribed now and want to say thank you again for the replies.
Now that my holystone gimbal doesn't work I saw the C-fly faith mini for 160 it has a 3axis 2k 30fps brushless I don't have the money but check the reviews I think is a good clone of the dji
Just keep saving, c-fly has its problems as well. Be careful of what you buy!!!!! Please just keep saving for a decent drone. It’s well worth the wait. I wish I waited years ago when I first started flying. Thank you for stopping by, cheers
Another great review , better than an owners manual . Always calibrate 👍 I didn't and when i pressed : RETURN TO HOME ,,,, It flew back to china , where it was made. 😒😔
Great drone EIS working awesome fly well everything you need in a drone let's hope this starts alot more drones try eis instead of those 2 axis rubbish thanks for sharing 😄👍
