There kind of hit and miss I've had 9 of them and still have 3 building the fourth. 2 of the ones I have have over 100 gallons through them with little issues. I had a handle bend and broke a recoil. The 3rd one I have broke the clutch and stopped oiling on day 2 after about 7 tanks through it. There not bad as long as you don't mind wrenching on them from time to time

Man I am curious now as well!

I have only done slabs with a chainsaw mill similar to this one on black locust and didn’t have any problems, but black locust is pretty closed pore and it leaves a rough surface that you remove when finishing anyways. I could see it possibly being a problem in something like red oak that has more open pores but not for certain.

how long have you had your G888? Any issues, esp. with the cylinder and piston, oil seals and bearings?

Isn't break in supposed to be under load?

Depends on the width of cut and type of wood.

Различий вообще никаких. Немного туже она по заводке

I have the 660 model. I would say right off the bat buy some Stihl brand locking bar nuts, and a Stihl brand chain tensioner. Shouldn't run you more than about $40 combined but the nuts that come with these are not locking and will easily vibrate off. The chain tensioners they use are also complete garbage and wear out after a couple times. Otherwise they're not bad saws if you don't expect them to be as good as Stihl. I also have an issue with the carb where the butterfly valve doesn't want to open from choke to run position so once I get it to pop I have to take the air filter off and with light pressure and a small screwdriver push on the valve to open it to run.

Actually, the holds former bars and chains cut like a demon add a fraction of the price for Stihl but you’d obviously want to use a ripping chain anyway.

Желательно. Тупая цепь это нагрузка на двигатель,заточенная цепь ровно пилит
