Great simple circuit, can't wait to build one. A couple of questions though, I cannot make out the value of the resistor at the beginning input that goes to ground connected to the .01 cap, I see 2mz is the best I can make out, also, there is a capacitor connected to L1 and the 82k resistor, the best I can make out is it 4.7 uf or pf? Lastly, on the phono connectors, does the "x" connect to both jacks? Thank you!!
Hello I am trying to modify my wah pedal in a special way. I want to basically create a whammy bar through signal processing so woodwinds and brass can mod their amplified sounds even more. Do you think this is possible? I have tried variable capacitors in place of the existing ones but their capacitance is so low I can't get a freq response. Let me know if my explanation makes sense. Thanks!
Yes variable capacitors are very small in value, for tuning at radio frequencies in the order of KHz to MHz. It sounds to me like you're describing a "Theremin" sound if you are wanting anything like an electronic whammy bar sound. Wah pedals work by accentuating a particular band of frequencies in the mid range of human hearing frequencies and rolling off bass n treble above and below it. A bit like the bell shape peak of a drummers cymbal cut through it's middle.
