Standard size pins, pin spacing and alley but 1/4 length. Build of plywood in the woods of Matthews, North Carolina. To date, no one has ever made a strike on this alley.
Actually, after a friend of mine pays off his new home (has a job that will pay it off in just a few years), he is going to add a candlepin lane to his home in Tennessee. You'll have company in a few. Any of your friends wonder what the heck this weird game is? :)
Exactly. The ball never settles into a roll, so there isn't the exciting anticipation that a long alley has. Missing that element, we prefer to play the minipin alley which is long. I plan to extend the alley one day. Thanks for the comment.
Candlepins don’t work too well in a homemade alley setting. It’s my favorite form of bowling at an actual alley but on my lane that I built the pin action isn’t very realistic.
