As a self-admitted "glassaholic", I just loved this!! The first wavy vase is called a handkerchief vase. I will put tulips in mine, using clear marbles [the Dollar Store] as "flower frogs" to allow some to stand upright, and the others falling into the folds. Eclectic is my style, and I just like to surround myself with my favorite things. That is what makes it warm, inviting and home! And, yes--Goodwill stores are different, regionally. See you soon, Carrie. 😊😍
I’ve been obsessed with your style since I came across your original apartment tour over a year ago... but am also so so excited to follow along your redecorating journey! 🤩
The glasses match the flowers in your transitions! They give me Yayoi Kusama vibes and match your style perfectly. Loved this video *as always* and I love watching you go to places around the city.
hehe the transitions were inspired by my earrings actually, but they happen to match the glasses too. im in a mod flower phase right now if you can't tell ;)
very true!! i think it's a liiitttle bit of the color, and partially the shape/wavy top is similar to other things. we'll see what i end up deciding lol
Enjoyed seeing your picks come together and listening to you explain your thoughts on each piece. I am wondering if you are replacing any major furniture pieces? I got the impression from your 'Mood Board' video you were heading that way. If you are, I would love to go along for the virtual ride. Thanks.
If you want some good thrifting not too far away then hit up CT (my personal experience is in the Wallingford, Meriden, and Middletown area). They have some of the best good wills that I've been to, and they also have a lot of flea markets that have really cool furniture. It's only about 2 hours out of the the city and totally worth it. If you do happen to find yourself in Wallingford then I highly recommend eating at Arles and Boggs Vegan Eatery. Great spots!
I know exactly what Salvation Army you went to... they did the same thing to my boyfriend and I. They say they’re open till 7 but we got there just after 5 and they said they were closed. Oh jersey 🤦🏼♀️
Do you live by yourself? If not, are you just redecorating your room or the whole apartment? Are your roommates cool with the whole apartment redecoration?
I cant believe the pricing of Goodwill in other places. Id NEVER pay those prices for some of those. $42 for those glasses are ridiculously overpriced to be secondhand.
the glasses are not from goodwill! they're from an antique store, and i note the price discrepancy in the video. the most expensive goodwill piece i got was a pot for $10 - everything else was around $3-4.
This is the first of your videos I have seen. I truly like your content and your style... however, your camera action while shopping at the thrift stores is so erratic, I cannot follow anything. The camera jerks around and jumps back and forth and does not focus on anything. And the entire trip is done in 30 seconds. This is ok if that is your intention, but I'll watch a few more thrifting videos before I decide if is too jumpy for my view. I watch thrifting as a way to relax and do something I am no longer capable of doing as often, so this filming method is not what I'm looking for.
