Am I the only one who thinks that there should be another closing announcement? Y'know something along the lines of, "Attention Home Depot shoppers, the time is now 10:45pm and the store has been closed for FORTY FIVE MINUTES, so if you if could kindly grab your shit, and checkout before the last register is closed in the next 15 seconds, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much and have a wonderful day because Lord knows I sure as hell won't because I was supposed to be clocked out at 10."
Coming from someone who worked at Lowe's for 6 years, I agree 100%. I always hated it when people would bitch when we would close early for whatever reason. It's like they couldn't have got off their ass and come to the store the other 10 hours we were open during the holidays?
in Phoenix we're open 5 am to 10 weekdays, 6 to 9 Saturday & 7 to 8 pm Sundays:/ next Monday I get a nice early morning opening at 5. my eyes are not open that early
I've seen ASMs return to their stores, I have one right now...also seen them promoted in the store too. It's not that big of a deal but it happens and a lot in my 3 years with the company.
we used to have to do closing announcements at the service desk at walmart thankfully we don't anymore we get enough people up there at 1 min till as it is and of course more show up while taking care of that last customer there are days you finally have to tell them im sorry I closed 20 ago
Attention Home Depot shoppers- it's 10 pm and I want to go home so hurry the hell up to the front or I will lock you in the store and give you the keys to the janitors closet so we can save a buck
I've had people come in at 10 PM getting lumber cut, or asking me to go the back pad to look for something. And they even had the nerve to complain about the imperfect cuts at CLOSING. No exact cuts to begin with
@@TehUltimateSnake oh they would do that in the store too. driving the machines, horn honking, person with giant orange flags in front and people would still act surprised when we were coming
Attention Home Depot shoppers and associates, the time is now [time] and your [town] Home Depot is closed. Please bring your purchases to self checkout at this time, as they are the last registers to remain open. Our operating hours are [open] to [close] Monday through Saturday, and [open] to [close] on Sundays. Thank you for shopping at your [town] Home Depot and please have a safe trip home. Associates, please walk your aisles and assist any remaining customers to self checkout at this time. Please call extension 101 if you are with a customer.
MrBikercat exactly. If I were an ASM, I would close all of the registers five minutes after closing. Monday through Saturday my store is open for 16 hours. The fact that people can't find 30 minutes out of those 16 hours to do their shopping is absurd. Customers annoy the hell out of me (being someone who lives life on a schedule with 3 jobs) when they do shit like this.
That wouldn't surprise me in the least. lol. I'm not sure about that, but I do know there is some family/marriage relation between some big wig at lowes and one from walmart however.
Me: Call Home Depot to customers the time is now 7 PM Home Depot to close don’t forget to get to get things for the check out thank you Home Depot and thank you for shopping bye bye ✋
Ours use to be addressed to the associates and not the customers which I always thought was dumb being that it was designed to "hint" to the customers and not to inform them to gtfo.
@greg9986 I used to work at Walgreens. People used to tell me that I should be a radio announcer after coming on over the intercom. lol Now, I work at Home Depot in the Lumber Department. :-D
home depot dont need to be open 24/7. havent you guys been spoiled enough? it's bad enough they get last minute shoppers that keeps them working longer then they need to be. just get to the store early, get your shit and go on about your day. the employees have lives to you know lol
lol my laxt page while working for the andersons..." attention andersons customers the store is now closing... its beer time on friday so get your shit and get out and as always thank you for shopping..lol
