Thank you so much for sharing your process, thoughts and ideas! I completely understand not keeping everything, I keep very little of what I make. I donate most of my crafts and destash items to a charity for disabled artists (after I make sure I didn't accidentally put personal info on it ), it allows me to create to my hearts content without having the walls burst out. 😉
WOW! I really loved your video! I admire your organizational method. Great! I am always re-organizing certain parts of my craft room but never completely satisfied. Thanks to you, that will change! Thank you for sharing your great tips and organizational methods!
Hi, it’s Deb. I always enjoy your videos. Your style of craft room is something I aspire to. I’ve gotten lots of great ideas from you. You’re also a very pleasant person.
WOW!!! I just recently switched the containers on my table to clear acrylic ones. It makes such a difference! I only have a table and two cart that I work from but it’s perfect for me. It’s just a hobby. And I love it. Elisa, you always have such great ideas! And your presentation of your videos makes them so enjoyable to watch. Thank you!! Kathy 🌻
On the Alex drawers If u unscrew and take out 2 screws 1 each side of the drawer (on the side on the draw when pulled out) the drawer will pull out fully to access the back fully.
Amazing Craft Room Organizational Using HomeEdit Clear Bins Girl! Everything looking great so happy for you. I’m also setting my craft room space using my Mama bedroom who passed a year ago at age 89. Many of my supplies have been stored for eight years in the attic and the garage. I needed the space for my parents, now they both pass. Trying to keep busy, catching up on your channel. Blessings Girl! 🤩
I have a lot of clear bins in my room for exactly the same reason, so I can see what is inside. It definitely helps and the organization of my room has inspired me to use so much more of the wonderful things I have. Thanks for sharing your process. Blessings Elisa
i love that it doesnt look bad i was worried clear would show all my clutter in all its glory but i like how this turned out i want to see im going clear
I do think that it helps that what is organized in the clear bins is orderly. Otherwise, you are totally correct, the clear could just add to the clutter.
Hi Elisa, that was great! Starting my big craft closets and room organize next weekend. I agree with you...I don't keep everything. Even if I loved making it!
Yessss, this is the video I needed. I’m getting ready to set up a craft room for the first time. I love what you’ve done. That pink and black wallpaper is so cute. New subscriber here ✌🏼
⚾️. Great video and niw I will go look for home edit series. We moved and now have construction going on, so a revamp will be needed. Thanks , the timing of this video is perfect!
I wish i could do this with my craft area if these containers was available in South Africa. Seems like i need to go either order online or look by all shops around to find something similar. But i just love how organized your space is now
If you haven’t seen the clutterbug organizing styles by Cas, I feel like you would appreciate checking it out. I think you might organize like a butterfly, which is my organization style. As you were talking so much of what you were saying felt like how I organize. I think you might also appreciate Swedish death cleaning. You can find videos for all this on RU-vid. Great tips in your video, and it was cool to see your process. Thank you for sharing!
You always inspire me to get better organized. I’m using gum containers to store ephemera which works, but now I need to find a container for all the gum containers 🤦🏽♀️
I think I might have missed where you hit the white bins from that you store your travelers notebooks. I love those for things I don’t need to see but they still have such a clean line. Where did you get them?
Great ideas. Thanks for sharing. What are the white plastic bins with tops you put your travelers notebooks etc in? I went through the supplies links and I’m not finding it. Lol. Many thanks!
This video was so helpful as I’m in the process of a studio remodel/redo. And I’ve been acquiring storage organization because that’s the next step. I’ve bought (and wish listed) mostly clear and white containers for the same reasons plus I just like how clean they look. Can I ask what you use to store your HP sticker books! I didn’t see that (or missed it somehow).
The experience of going through my mom's and dad's stuff was horrible. So many things. It has made me reevaluate what I have because I have so much. I talked to my son tonight about whether there was anything of mine he really wanted. He told me about a couple of things but told me of far more things that he did not want. It didn't hurt my feelings, it made me make a list of things I'm going to start selling tomorrow morning to get what I don't use out of my house. I think it is funny, not in a haha way, that I'm from the era of Longaberger baskets, Lladro, Precious Moments, etc and the young adults now are not even interested. Those pass-me-downs have turned into secondhand store donations.
It is so interesting to see the things that each generation treasures of collects. I know it used to be so very common to always use furniture passed down through generations, and that just isn't the case anymore. I know your son will appreciate that you were able to let go of things!
So inspirational!! Question...what do you use to label the furniture? I like the concept, but as things change you're stuck with it if it can't be removed right? Or is it something that you can pull off? I'd love to see how you go about creating your labels for bins, etc. TFS! -Shari ☺️
Loved your video. I am switching my craft room over to the Home Edit containers also. What are the drawers on your desk with all colorful pens/markers?
Would you please show a picture of your desk and where you got it from? What I’m currently using has no drawers or cabinets and I need some desk storage. Thanks!
The desk is from IKEA! It is actually several different pieces put together in a custom way. You can find more info in this video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-djx1C1Y56Yw.html
I have so much stuff! 🤷🏻♀️ I'm thinking of a low buy on only needs and using my stash first. Going to create giftable items and donate them to the local thrift store.
Did you keep a list of what you spent? I also have a large stash of supplies and am trying to see what budget is realistic for the clear container system.
I did not keep a list, but the containers will certainly add up. However, now that Home Edit is available at Walmart, the affordability has really increased!
@@ScrappyWife Wow! Thank you. Seems I really need to explore the Cricut. This is the second time I've seen something custom made that I really liked and someone said, "I did it with my Cricut!" It's going on my wish list today!!
It looks fantastic! Can you please share where you got the white bins with the covers? I need to check out the Home Edit line at WM! Thank you for sharing!
Thank u Elisa. R u able 2 c all these clear storage containers physically in Wal-Mart stores? How long did it take u 2 do this whole organizing of your craft room? How r things going with your basement craft room renovations? Have a blessed night.
The Home Edit line is available in stores, although they are selling out fast at times. It took me probably 5-6 hours to do this organization re-fresh. The basement craft room is coming slowly with construction expenses high at the moment, but hoping to make progress this summer!
Couldn’t you use pages from your journals in parts of of your future spreads instead of throwing them out of make bookmarks or something. I struggle with organizing so much. It’ll be 3 years this November that we moved and my craft room is smaller an more of a pass thru area with three room entrance way, two patio doors (one leads to a deck overlooking a lake and the other goes to a sunroom), staircase, and there is a bathroom with a sliding barn door . So in the middle of all that awkward shape shape area that everyone walks through to get to the bathroom and sunroom it has very little wall space to speak of so it s difficult furniture, storage pieces, to hang anything etc. I was half unpacked when we decided to have the whole first floor done in hardwood and had to pack up everything again. I haven’t unpacked again but a few things. I hate that area that much.
I could reuse the items, but many times they have already served their purpose, and I am happy to let them go to make room for new supplies. I have to accept that I will always have new supplies and projects coming in, which means if I don't get rid of completed projects, I will become overrun. And when they space is cluttered, it isn't as much fun to create.
I'm a huge fan of "organization porn" as I call it, but I'm starting to feel that people are making a lot of money off of our desire to not look like hoarders. There's no reason those bins should cost so much.
