HOME FOR CHRISTMAS (Philippines Craziest Car Ferry?) - Tawi-Tawi to Davao 

I'M GOING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS!
But first, is this the Philippines craziest car ferry?!
It's not really a car ferry, but they've managed to get a car on to a lantsa, the traditional wooden "kumpit" boats used for transporting goods between Zamboanga, the Sulu archipelago and Malaysia.
I have no idea how they managed it and I couldn't see it loaded or unloaded because it was just making a stopover in Bongao - but that is a new level of diskarte! Good job, Goodjaos!
First I take a trip to the Bato-Bato barter market in neighbouring Panglima Sugala. Badjaos from the ocean and Tausugs from the mountains bring their produce to this market, traditionally exchanging goods by barter (but these days cash is often involved). This is an interesting place!
Then, another amazing satti somewhere on Sanga-Sanga island, wanders around Bongao, and finally dinner at the Indonesian Night Cafe.
Bongao is really a vibrant place; I've been here 3 times in 6 months, so it must be something special!
But I have to go home for Christmas - and it's an (expensive) plane ride with a stopover in Zamboanga, where I can reflect on everything as I like to do!
I will certainly be back to this part of the world in the future!
