Austin arranged this one and he did a fantastic job! Some German fries gave Chris and the guys a rooster (actually multiple roosters) years ago and it makes an appearance in several videos. Thanks guys - y'all make me smile. 😂🍟
The Rooster at the end was a gift from a fan at earlier shows...it is an easter egg in a lot of their older videos. I believe Austin has it at his house now.
I don't think you need to know the songs being parodied in order to love this medley! Home Free just knows when and how to make us laugh and smile, while being amazed at the quality of their talents at the same time. Love your reactions -- and love having Jillian in the mix!

@@nikkle6166 , I think the line is "far away" instead of "fire away." It's the hardest song to pick out from all the others because it's a little hard to hear Chris over the other two songs.

Really fun reaction, guys. So, I have a theory about the chicken. Let's see if I can articulate it. The last line they sang was from Lourds "Royals", "I'll rule the world". Imagine the world being ruled by a group of guys who sit and stare curiously at a chicken on a string like a bunch of monkeys. I don't know if that's what they were going for, but the idea made me laugh.

Space in music . . . it is the space that allows you to savor the the beauty of sound that follow it and increases the affect of its impact. It functions like punctuation in prose. Silence is a period, pause for emphasis is a coma, etc. It effects impact and provides emotional depth.. You are right Ninja, I know what I like when I hear it but when Jeremy explains to mechanics it helps me understand why I like it. Jeremy pleas keep up the explanations, it is not boring, it is enlightening. Thank you.

Great reaction from both of you! This is such a fun mashup of songs. Very cleverly done from one song to another. I didn't know most of these songs. But I don't care as it is just so much fun to watch. The talent these guys have is phenomenal. They have so much fun but the vocals never suffer. And Adam's beatboxing is on another level.
I think Adam Rupp's incomparable rhythm sets Home Free apart from all other acapella groups and makes these fabulous medleys SO incredibly smooth❣️ 🤣😆🤣😆🤣 Home Free is supremely talented on every level and their ability to seamlessly integrate multiple songs together is just beyond words! ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️

Awww the chicken. Some fans sent chickens to Home Free and Chris used them as Easter eggs in their videos I guess. Others will know more than I do. It stopped when Chris left the group. I thought it was kinda fun. They’re so goofy. So good. 😍🥰

Don't be afraid to pause and rewind if you feel like you missed something, especially when they do medleys, things go by pretty fast sometimes. This is also true for their videos that have a lot of visuals to take in as well as the music.

Since even as late as mid-2015 a significant portion of HF's following was "seasoned fries", I'm betting a good 50% of them were like me and had no idea what songs were mashed in here, but we enjoyed it anyway. The melding of 16 (their description says 15, but they list 16) totally different songs into one 4+ minute song is a masterpiece of arranging.

This is one of their older ones but the singing, harmonies, beatboxing and humor are terrific. Adam keeps the beat and segues so easily from one song to another. BTW, the rooster lives on - in their 'quarantine' series, it's in a bookcase in Austin's house (apparently he's a pack-rat after my own heart!). Have a great Thanksgiving weekend (Thanksgiving in Canada is Oct. 9).
This one was one snippet of song intertwined with another in rapid fire, there was no room for talk at all if you wanted to hear it all so that's why she shushed you to listen and recognized 98 % of the songs. This is funny too, one of my favorites of their older videos. sometimes they have so much going on in their videos that you have to take a second look, and a third, and more, right?

I’m just catching up on Home Fryday…what a great reaction! I’m a fan of your reactions Jeremy and when Jillian is there it just doubles the fun. If I could make a little request…your background music at the beginning and end of the video is kind of loud. It almost drowns out your comments.
