I think one of the things that makes me love Homefree is the sense of humour and the ability to not take themselves so seriously. They are stunningly talented artists but they feel like people. The show I went to a few weeks ago just felt like seeing friends.
I feel like many reactors don’t give Adam the recognition he deserves. The way he was able to keep up with all the song changes in this video was amazing. Great reaction.
You do make me laugh when you find their antics so funny. I love their silly side as well as their more serious stuff. I think you'd like 'Honey I'm Good', 'Working for a Living' & 'Thank God I'm a Country Boy', but you should also check out "In the Blood', 'Blue Aint Your Colour' & for a sheer masterclass in harmonising ' Helplessly Hoping' - but there's plenty of time to get round to all their fabulousness.
When he wants, Rob has amazing soul in his voice. End of the Road really shows this off. For more of his comedic side watch him dance in All About That Bass.
A SaucyMom song cover by Home Free " When a man loves a woman ". Yaaaasssssss! Love y'all ❣ ❤ Just saying you can't be steered wrong because, there is NO bad Home Free song. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️❤
Saucey I think it's time for you to tackle their take on John Denver's classic & iconic song, Country Roads, it will surprise you, its a ballad and not a campy country pop song...Rob KILLS it....you'll like him even more
Always enjoy your videos. Chris Rupp posted a video on his channel about the history of Home Free today. He, Adam and Matt Atwood talk about the early days. Matt left right before the SingOff and was replaced by Austin. Yes, Chris began balding as a teenager. Since he left Home Free he has undergone hair replacement surgery which he discusses on his channel. He is very open about it. I like him both ways but before there was more face to love.
This is such a fun mashup of songs. Very cleverly done from one song to another. I didn't know most of these songs. But I don't care as it is just so much fun to watch. The talent these guys have is phenomenal. They have so much fun but the vocals never suffer. And Adam's beatboxing is on another level. I agree these are some good looking dudes too!
So glad you did this one - so much FUN! Hey, Saucey, you can pause and backtrack as often as you darn well please. You are so hilarious! I can just see you and your "spirit animal" (Rob) goofing off together like a couple of kids playing hooky!
Home Free are just like old friends, Uber talented friends. Pentatonix is more theatrical and very talented but if I only get to choose one, it is Home Free in this house.
I love watching your expressions when your watching HF. It’s priceless !!!!! I love HF and each is so talented. I do know that Adam our beatboxer was self taught. He did learn breath control when playing the trumpet . That rooster was a gift from a sub and they tried to put it into their videos. Thank you 🎼🎶🦋🎵🎄
They use to have a rooster in everyone of their videos. Try watching the Alabama Sampler or Hunter Hayes Medley they are great. Always get a laugh while watching your reactions, thanks.
I absolutely loved this reaction! Now that you’ve done both pentatonix and home free there is one left to the trio and that is voiceplay! They just released their wicked medley and it is amazing! Would love to see you do them. Really anything you chose by voiceplay is amazing! For home free it’s an older one but I love “what we ain’t got” or “your man”! Specifically the live one in Morrison! It’s part of a larger video and your man starts at 7:20! You get to see a little bit of comedy as well as some fun live vocals!
I agree 👍 with the Wicked medley by Voice Play! Also Hoist The Colors! Phenomenal! And, for fun, VP's bass, Geoff, has an amazing solo video of The Monster Mash! 💖 Voice Play is the theatrical member of the a capella trifecta!
If you like their medley’s then you’ll love their mashups. “Thinking out loud/ Let’s get it on ( Ed Sheeran/Marvin Gaye ) they did a superb job on this. Also their mashup of “ Boondocks/Fishing in the dark “ was awesome. Note not only is Adam an excellent beatboxer he has a beautiful tenor voice. Check out “ How great thou art “. Their song “ Quarantine “ you actually get to here Adam sing there as well. That video is hilarious. Frankly all of these guys could easily be lead singers and they all pretty much take turns. They’ll all just sing the song then they decide who did it best. Adam prefers not to take lead
A very funny mashup, I love the humor of Home Free. They make the different songs sound like one song. I don't think you've seen Honey I'm Good yet. Good reaction!
7:37 You think that was crazy, you should hear what he does in their original song 'Why Not' or.... 'When A Man Loves A Woman'. _That_ one's going to freak you out.
There are SO many amazing videos ahead of you to enjoy. Not just the music videos, but the live performances, their individual works, From The Vault (behind the scenes of the making some of these videos). And all the videos they made during quarantine....amazing. All the above is what confirmed my absolute love for these guys. Thanks as always for your reaction!
Chris Rupp posted a video on his channel about the history of Home Free today. Episode 1 (ft Adam, Chris, and Matt) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ounzu9U8NNc.html One thing they talked about was: - in 2008 the Worst Night Ever , here's that video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hf5ZIjWk5_I.html I don't know how many Episodes he has but looking forward to leaning about Home Free.
Even knowing most of the story from before it was a really fun video to watch! I'm excited for the next episode. And the worst nick video is so much fun because they are so young!
Another awesome video. I rewatched the SingOff Home Free vs Filharmonics episode yesterday. Your remarks were almost identical to what the judges comments were. You were spot on. Congrats on 8000 tomorrow.
Great to see you enjoy this one so much. If you're in the mood for another medley, I'd definitely suggest Woman, Amen/Female or Hunter Hayes Medley or Alabama Sampler.
Ah this one's such fun. I love how they can skip between genres of music and from really serious stuff to this kind of thing without any loss of quality. Even when they're being stupid on stage they still sound perfect. Glad that you're sticking to some of the older ones, and still all that lockdown stuff to go - 'Down to the Honkytonk', 'Diamond Dreams'... so many. Not even sure if you've done the Sea Shanty Medley yet, you're getting through these so quickly. I'll have to go and check your playlist! They've dropped a couple of Christmas songs on Patreon which will hopefully be out soon, although the audio for one of them is already out on You Tube (and Adam's percussion is beyond incredible on it). And I'm a huge Adam fan, but it's Austin who says Adam can do amazing things with his mouth!! Adam just raises an eyebrow at that and smirks!
Yes, we all love them. They are goofy and yet amazing singers. And there are no bad Home Free songs. More Rob, please do End of the Road cover, Grenada do When a Man loves a Woman for Austin and a live performance of Your Man for Tim. There are no bad videos.
SauceyDad, you are SUCH a joy to watch react to these videos. I totally fully agree with others who have said you are just as hilarious as Home Free. I hope you do get to experience them live some day (heck, I hope *I* get to experience them live and in person some day, too!). This seasoned lady (I use the term lady hesitantly - one of my coworkers calls me his "little truck driver" due to the colorful language I am prone to using at times) loves all of Home Free, but Tim and Adam R. are the primary draws for me. Each of these guys has that "somethin' somethin'" that blends with the others immensely well. There are so many of their songs that make me completely forget there are no musical instruments involved - just their totally amazing talent with their vocal chords (we don't need no steenkin' instruments!).
There's a video on their channel where Adam shows you round his home and explains a bit about how he develops his percussion. Fascinating. And I love that just when you're laughing they throw in something so perfect.
Please check out their 'Sea Shanty Medley' soon. That one's really fun. I heard that Adam Chance had to fight a bit to get the others on board with doing it, but they _really_ got into it once they were. I guess Chance is a big fan of sea shanties (something he and I have in common). Adam Rupp plays the castanets (minus physical castanets of course, because he can)
I'm in love with all of them for different reasons, I read a description that fits really well. PTX are the Kings and Queen of the prom, Home Free are the ones having a tailgate party in the parking lot and Voiceplay are the theatrical kids. Can't wait until you get to listen to Voiceplay. All the beat boxers are amazing and the bassist are too. Then you got all those vocals from any of them, until you just have eargasms galore.
Great reaction! And all can say is so much talent it's insane!!! I love your reactions!! Every time I watch your reactions to Home Free it's like we are all including Home Free just hanging out together Lots of fun! Thanks!
Older lady here and while Pentatonix is a good Acapella group, Home Free is in another catagory altogether! Just my opinion and you know what "they" say about those.😎😎😎😎
Love all of your reactions to Home Free's videos. I have to go along with the other viewers if you play "When a Man Loves a Woman " by Home Free you will need a babysitter for the night because Saucymom will be ready for a romantic night. Please add " Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget " written by Tim to your list of funny videos and songs by Home Free to watch. If you watch closely there is a surprise guest appearance in the video. Also "Spaceship " highlights not only Robs voice but his family. For someone different from Home Free ( though just doing Home Free is fine by me and the other home fries ) please watch Meatloafs video of " Paradise by the Dashboard Light " . It is a hilarious song and Meatloaf acts it out on stage. Thanks for all the great reactions you have done. They really are appreciated.
Everyone of these guys are so amazingly talented and enjoy having fun. They are so good at working a song that feels unique to them. Thanks for a great reaction.
There really is no way to steer you wrong when it comes to home free!! Everything they do is beyond amazing! There really isn't anything they can't do. Yet they act like they are just the guys next door and so fun and down to earth.
One reason why Adam is so good: he could imitate the sounds of a drum kit, but wanted to understand when, where and why certain drums, cymbals, etc were played. So he learned how to play drums for real. Plus he also plays keyboard, bass guitar and trumpet (which he majored in-thats also probably another reason he's so good at beat boxing). I don't know if I love Home Free or Avi Kaplan more.
As always love your reaction! Adam is very talented and sry but other beat boxers don't come close to his talent! Working for a Living, One Man Band, Down to the Honky-tonk re just a few more suggestions to check out. What ever you listen to every song they sing is AWESOME.
Prefer their Butts medley better but these guys are so much fun. Always enjoy watching Tim and his bass hand going crazy. You will love their take on Rick Astley hit Never Gonna Give You Up.
If you like funny Tim you should check out Home Frees "Colder Memory Lapse", Austin forgets the words and Tim just can't let that go, and poor Rob is struggling to get through it.
If you watch in their older videos there is a rooster somewhere in there. Has something to do with a fan sending them a 🐓 toy and it somehow became a joke.
I swear Tim and Rob have a bromance lol. I love it. The are the biggest goof balls they are such jokesters and would be so much fun to be around all 5 of them. I think Adam is the biggest one but secretively. This was arranged by Austin if I'm not mistaken. We need a new one of these.
If you like their medleys etc.. check out Hunter Hays medley ,.. fishing in the dark/boondocks.... and for an amazing collab Elvira with the oak ridge boys
Great reaction! So many other reactors don’t pay attention to their actions! LoL My absolute favorite medley they do is the Hunter Hayes Medley!! I can’t wait for you to do that one!! The video is hilarious!! 😂
Yes, the look on both Rob and Tim’s face when Chris says he kissed a girl and he liked it is priceless. They never fail to entertain us with their personality and talent. Love your reactions, and you can pause as much as you like.
Nice to see after their "Guilty Pleasures" bit that he FINALLY gets to sing more Beiber "Baby." 😆 This is Great. Thx for your pure joy & sharing this. 😊
I think he missed most of Tim & Austin's faces because he was focused on Rob. Some of their videos (especially this one because it moves from song to song so fast) you have to watch a few times & just focus completely on ONE person each time to catch everything lol :) Love Tim's stank face hahaha ;) Love all these guys!!
On another reaction a response had the best description of the 3 acapella, pentatonixs/ Student council. Voice Play / theater needs. Homefree is holding the tailgate party in the parking lot. Yup I know which tailgate party I'm heading to.
Ok. Now for the 3rd group in the acapella trifecta. *Voiceplay - The Oogie Boogie Song and Queen in 5 Minutes* They are the theater kids of the top 3 acapella groups.
In a basic drum set the cymbals (actually 2 on one stand) with the pedal to operate is called the high hat. There are also individual cymbals played using the sticks, a crash and a ride. Adam does all his cymbals extremely well although I believe his snare drum is the most authentic of his drumming sounds.
OMG! Had to quick share something with you! Just finished listening to Home Free "How Great Thou Art" OFF MIC!! They were in concert when a bad storm hit, no power, they couldn't continue their performance so they offered to sing one song before they shut down. No mics, no lights ( just generator lighting). Whether you react to it or not I hope you watch it, it's amazing! Thank you for you. The video is the one in Kearny MO.
Have you done the Butts remix yet? lol If not, you need to. I just recently found your channel and I am glad i joined in on your acapella journey. VoicePlay needs to be next. The next HF one should be Ring of Fire - it has Avi in it.
Loved it. They have some amazing two song mashups as well. Women, amen/Female: thinking out loud/let’s get it on: fishing in the dark/boondocks. All 100% worth it.
