@@1aleckman1 , I've heard that he has never been comfortable singing solos but he apparently started taking voice lessons during lockdown, so maybe we'll hear him sing more often. He does vocalize more during his drum solos. You can check out some of them on fans' RU-vid channels. One video talks about his "Trans-Siberian Orchestra." ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ek-VfBivJoc.html
@@kristindunstan172 I agree he has to have a great vocal range. Especially when he does the harmonica and some of the beatboxing that he does. The range is crazy!
I'm pretty sure that the beautiful high soaring tenor we hear when Austin is singing, is actually Adam Rupp. Lovely sweet voice - he can go very very high and also very low - but uses it more as a sound effect than singing words. His beatboxing is amazing, but it's such a treat when he's actually singing.
I think this is one of the best versions of this song. Tim's bass really carries the song. I found Home Free 2 years ago & love these 5 talented guys. Their harmonies are the best in the business. This is one of the few songs where you get to hear Adam Rupp's (beatboxer) sweet tenor voice during "It Is Well". And the scenery is awesome filmed in the beautiful Austrian Alps (my dad came from that area).
This was filmed in the Austrian Alps. They flew over them when on tour and thought they would never find a more perfect place to film this. I agree. By the way, the overlaying high voice is not always Austin. I t was also covered by Adam Rupp who has an amazing pure high voice.
First off thank you for noticing Adam's solo and commenting on it. Most reactors seem to forget he's there if he isn't beatboxing. If you want to hear Adam sing more check Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Silent Night and Auld Lang Syne. He doesn't do a solo like this one but you can still hear him. Chris (his brother) said he isn't comfortable singing lead because he hasn't been vocally trained like the others but as you can tell he has a naturally beautiful voice and he has a pretty wide range.
The was recorded in the Austrian Alps. There's great footage of the group and crew around the filming of the video in episode 8 of Home Free's From the Vault series.
Best version ever. Period. 🥰🥰 they flew over this area while on tour. They decided to make time to shoot this while there. It wasn't planned. They do that a lot. Lol.
These men are each talented beyond belief! But they were able to record this while in Austria 😊! The scenery is as beautiful as their amazing harmonies
This was filmed in the Austrian Alps. I love the Gregorian chant insert that Adam Rupp sings (but then I've always enjoyed Gregorian chants). Their rendition of this is just gorgeous. There's a live version "Home Free Kearny", a concert was cancelled due to a thunderstorm. Rather than disappoint fans, Home Free went were they were sheltering and, standing on a picnic table without mics, amps, etc. they sang this. Thanks for playing this & your comments.
Thanks guys! My favorite part is hearing Adam Rupp, a favorite tenor sing. Singing of the anthem of the Vikings game was my favorite version ever, stunning! A few weeks I will be able to watch a show with Adam and Chris Rupp. I am so excited!
One of my favorites. It’s so good, I got goosebumps. This was filmed in the Austrian Alps when they were touring there. Yes, it was fun to see Adam singing in this one. It’s rare. Love your reaction boys!🥰
They have a History of Home Free series that they made. It tells there story. They just released an album with all but 2 songs they wrote. It is amazing!
The best version I've heard of this song. A song I grew up with because I come from a Christian family where my father and grandmother were pastors. My father, who had a beautiful voice, often sang this at home (in Dutch). Home Free sings this so beautifully in a great environment that I let my mother (85) hear and show it a year ago. Now she wants to listen to it regularly and has suggested it to her church community to show it there. How Home Free sings it, you don't just hear it, you also feel it. And it's great that Adam Rupp also sings a bit here.
A lot of people mistakenly think the Alps are JUST in Switzerland as they have only heard about the Swiss Alps. They are actually in 8 Countries. This location is in Austria. 👱♀👱♀👗👗👠👠💓💓The Rupp brothers (Adam and Chris) started Home Free in their home State of Minnesota!
Sometimes Home Free just creates art pieces and this is one of them. The harmonies are stunning. As beat boxing would have been inappropriate for this beautiful song, Adam just steps up and harmonizes with the guys even tho he's not really comfortable singing. This song just makes a person joyful in their heart! Their passion for music and life in general comes through every time. The setting for the video was the Swiss Alps. Great reaction.
The location is the Austrian Alps. In the BTS ( from the vault), video, Austin does a Sound of Music spoof. Yes, Adam Rupp has a beautiful singing voice. You'll also hear him in My Country 'Tis of Thee and Quarantine.
This was filmed in the Austrian Alps while they were on tour. There is a From the Vault of the taping. Adam Rupp has a voice that is a lot like Rob's. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
Great reaction!! This was filmed in the Austrian Alps when they were on tour. Here’s a live video of Adam singing a small solo but more than in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sm1xhYZiSrM.html . If you want funny live videos I would recommend Story Time With Tim ( Whip Nae Nae , Natemares or Barnacles and Angler Fish or their live skit Guilty Pleasures Hilariously Derailed
For more amazing 5-part harmony I Can't Outrun You is a must! He also does the high slide-up "oos" in Listen to the Music. His range is incredible but he usually does a high tenor when singing in the songs w/o percussion, i.e. Brothers in Arms.
The location is in the Alps. It's the same location in Austria where "The Sound of Music" was filmed. I suggest "Home Free's Guilty Pleasures, Hilariously Derailed" for some comedy relief.
This is something I listen to this every morning as I wake up....my wife passed away in January 1991 and it may sound weird but listening to this song I feel her presence every morning when I wake up, and before I start my day we talk. Call me xrazy but I do feel her around me
You guys should check out the phone recording of them doing this when a concert was canceled and they sang off-mic during the thunderstorm. Kearney, Missouri. Easy to find. Love your reactions.
The Home Away from Home series is a good place to learn about the guys. Also From The Vault. It's a behind the scenes of their songs. I think they have released 21 or 22 now. We usually get a new one on the first Monday of the month
Ok. Adam Rupp does sing occasionally when he's not busy beatboxing. & he's got a wonderful voice. My country tis of thee Auld Lang syne Are a couple others to hear him. Also, please check a live version of this, off mic. In particular Kearny,
I found a live video of Adam actually singing more than in this song or singing with the others a small solo heres link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sm1xhYZiSrM.html
This never sounded like this at Mass! 😊. If they sang at Mass every Sunday I would have been there with bells on, no disrespect to everyone singing but that would have been amazing!
Hi guys! Great reactions. If you want to learn about these guys getting their start just watch The History of Home Free on RU-vid. There are 7 episodes each about a half hour long. It's really interesting listening to their stories.
Great reaction! You mentioned the Lord of the Rings; Peter Hollens and Tim Foust have a cover of Misty Mountains from The Hobbit that you should check out! Love your reactions!!
