This is actually the second time that Home Free has done this song. The first time was on the album Crazy Life which was released in 2014. Recently Home Free decided that after all these years, they would like to revisit/update that album, thus this newer version from the new album Crazy(er) Life. And I can understand it. The older version was when Chris was part of the group and while Chris had a decent baritone, to hit the bass notes needed they had to double track Tim on songs like this when he sang lead. Now with Chance in the group able to pick up baritone and bass lines, they had more flexibility to do these songs in a better way. As for attending a live show, I would highly recommend it!! It's not a concert but a party of just plain fun and good times!
Mayday is not a new release. Years ago, Cam interviewed them before they went to a CMA awards show. They teased her & told her to check out a song they had just taped. The song was her original recording of Mayday. Get a tight grip on your chair when you hear it! 😅

This is an an amazing original written by Tim. Tim was lead on this and if you remember Tim is the bass. If you want to do Mayday go for it. Austin has left the group and Adam Bastien has taken his place. Bastien used to sub for one of the tenors when Home Free first started and also was a member of Chris Rupp's group 7th Ave Bastien did his first concert with Home Free at the Country Rumble Fest in Lima,Ohio June 21 and The Grand Ol Opry June 22 and he did amazing They now have 3 Adam’s in the group so they opted to be called by last names less confusing that way. They filmed a video in Nashville with Bastien now we wait for it to be released. Home also released a welcome video it on RU-vid now called Adam Bastien’s First Weekend. They just released Your Man it is 1of 3 of the last videos with Austin in them on Friday they are releasing another video and the last one should be releasing soon
Welcome back! We will enjoy watching you 'catch up'. They have a couple more new videos coming out for the Crazy(er) Life album and have already started filming videos with Adam Bastien (Bass-teen). This song was on Tim's first solo CD in 2012, then again on the first HF cd after the Sing OFF (released in 2014). He has also sung it with the group made up of Tim, Austin, Jeffrey East, Ernie Halter, and Luisa Marion - 6 fantastic signer/songwriters - but he stayed with the bass and let Jeffrey sing the melody. HF has recorded many of Tim's songs as well as many of Austin's originals - virtually all of the songs on So Long Dixie were written by Tim and/or Austin. Many of the songs on Crazy(er) Life don't sound much different from the Crazy Life ones, but this definitely has matured very well. I liked that they specifically showed Chance doing the bass at the end because it is an open 'secret' that Tim double tracked it on the Crazy Life release.
This is my favorite group and this is my favorite song. I love Tim's low bass voice and I heard that Tim has five octaves. The harmonies are beautiful. Love the One Piece poster behind you ☺ That's such a beautiful original of Tim (who's in the lead in this one). Tim is an amazing songwriter. He's written several for Home Free (Austin also has written several originals). They have amazing videographers, too (they have a few they work regularly with) who have amazing ideas for the videos and always manage to capture the mood of the song (and the silliness Home Free is known for, too). They know the guys very well. The next tour (or better, the second half of the Crazy(er) Life Tour) will be in the fall. You can find the dates on their website. Austin will not be with them anymore, as he's left by now. Instead they will be on tour with their new-ish member, Adam Bell-Bastien, called Bastien (pronounced Basteen). New-ish because he had been a member of the group somewhen before the Sing-Off (which was in 2013). From what I can tell sofar he'll be a good fit for the group.

Hope you’re back. Good to see you and glad you finished school. At this point Austin is no longer part of the group. He wants to stay home and wants to start a family (he’s recently married)so he’s gone. There will be another video or two with him. HF already found a replacement. Another Adam who they call Bastien (his last name.). It will be different but hopefully good. Loved this song that Tim wrote. I love the video too.
I've missed you! Congratulations graduate!! As you may have read in other comments, if you want to watch Austin's videos you'll have to check out his channel. One of his recent lyric videos "I'll Go First" has a surprise in it - have tissues handy. Insofar as camera angles, I think you'd enjoy their series "From the Vault" - it's the behind-the-scenes filming of their videos. I think though that the people doing the filming must have felt like they were herding stray cats . .
