Yes! It’s amazing. I was reading that he’s working on expanding it even further but perhaps I am mistaken. Thanks for the correction.
@Husitka
@Husitka 5 лет назад
@@heidicook2739: Axel Rose doesn't have that range anymore AFAIK (because of his age, and his lifestyle = he can sing lower than he used to, but he can't hit his highest notes anymore). He had that range when he was at his peak, which is kind of the same for Mariah, too. Mike Patton has the widest range (out of people that these charts actually know of) = a 6+ octave range, but I didn't really like his lowest and highest notes (they sounded too much like burping, and screeching). Yet, his range is definitely very impressive, and so was Axel's and Mariah's at their peak. Atm, out of all the singers with wide ranges that I personally have heard, I think Tim's seems to be the most balanced one as for the tone and the vocal control, also because he can actually use most of it live.

@Husitka

@@mkhusi257: Tim Storms might hold a Guinness record, but out of his supposed range, you can actually hear only about a third of it, and to me, he actually sounds good only in a range of 2 and a half octaves (which is a pretty standard range for a trained singer).

I LMAO when the video started. Your expression was priceless. And yes, Tim decided to go hang with the other two tenor's, Rob and Austin, and hang he did. Tim never ceases to amaze me with his 5+ octave range. And then you've got Chance with his 4 octave range. He's still not able to jump deep into the basement with Tim with those low notes, but he gives it a good try. And did you notice those drum beats Adam was throwing out there? Wow! And the change ups on the bridge was excellent. Thank you for another outstanding reaction. Can't wait to see you do Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget, which btw- Tim wrote.

Eventually you should check out the video including tons of clips showing his whole range- but I would wait until you are farther into their whole collection, there's still a lot to see. The thing about Home Free is that each of them are excellent individually, yet they're even better with how great they are at complementing each other. It really is a case of the whole being better than the sum of the parts -and you're starting with exceptionally good parts! As far as I'm concerned, Austin, Adam & Tim are first of their class in their respective roles. And Rob and Chance are extremely talented and versatile in their own right. The overall effect is that it's just about impossible for them to produce anything that isn't at least good, and is generally exceptional.

Adam Chance has been the best addition to this group for many reasons. He has an amazing voice, is able to carry the lead as a baritone or tenor and has been singing bass for a long time , which has also allowed Tim a chance to do other things vocally with the group. Tim singing in falsetto gives him such an enormous range. Adam's beatboxing in this song is spot on. Rob and Austin are as strong as ever. Hey Lyle, great reaction! I think the reason they seem to be singing high is that the original song was by Cam, a female country singer., so unless you want to be playing around with changing key (which is not unheard of!) the song was necessarily in the high range. As other people have said, Chance sang bass in Street Corner Symphony before he joined Home Free and his fabulous range gives Tim the freedom to explore his own extensive range further. Should also give kudos to Austin's amazing ability to hit those high notes, and the beatboxer, Adam, absolutely nailed this one.

Yep, I always say Tim can sing about as high as the tenors and lower than a human has a right to... and Chance dug into his basement for this one too. Tim has more than 5 octave range, and Chance isn't shabby with a 4 octave range. Love your reactions, MORE HOME FREE, lol There were a few of the Christmas songs that you missed and I'll always be asking for an older favorite of mine "Thinking Out Loud/Lets Get It On', with the old lineup.

LOVE your reaction! Tim has a 5 1/2 octave range. To put that in perspective, Dimash has a 6 1/2 octave range. Chance is a bass/baritone. The 2 of them - Tim and Chance working together, are the reason this group can do those lush, deep bass harmonies. But Tim -- damn --- Check out the audio of him singing Can't Help Falling In Love.

They have two bass's in this song and Tim is their main bass, but....his range goes from low bass to high tenor and I love both of them

As a group they typically sing the song on the pitch of the original artist's version. Cam's version was that high, but she has a higher voice... I enjoyed this as well.. Yes, Adam Chance is an accomplished Bass as well. I'm going to see the Timeless Tour a second time in 2 years in a neighboring state next month.. They're a treat live as well. I hope they visit Australia soon and that you're able to see them live. :-) Cheers

For me this is an example of why HomeFree is more interesting to listen to. Since Avi left Pentatonix they have been locked into a predictable harmony with Kirstie and Mitch having such similar ranges and Scott basically bari-tenor. Bass and beat boxing (Kevin is amazing - but, for drums, Adam Rupp is a magician). Avi gave them the ability to alter the harmonies more; however, there is SO many different combinations possible from HomeFree. They are simply the best A cappella group going.

YESSSSSSS!!!! I absolutely love this cover. Just when you think you have it all figured out WHAMMO! So much good stuff in this one. Champagne taste on a beer budget is funny and a great idea for the next one. Can't wait to see it. Your face when Chance hit that low note was priceless!

And this is why all us Home Fries recommend waiting to watch this video, so that you’re more familiar with the guys and what they do. This one throws you for a loop and shows they’re capable of more. Such a highly talented vocal group!

They're doing it in the original key of a song done originally by a woman. That's why it's high.
