So many great groups out there that you need to discover my favorites are Home Free, Voice Play, Pentatonix, Voctive and the original acapella group Straight No Chaser.
All time favorite artist is now Home Free, specifically Austin Brown who is the high tenor. I could listen to him all day everyday and never get tired of his voice!! Austin has just recently started his solo career in addition to what he is doing with Home Free and I'm loving it!
I could never settle on a fav. Times and circumstances can chang so fast that my mind flips and flops to much. Right now it's Aurora, but me fav genre is celtic punk! Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, The Real McCoys and so on.
Loved your reaction. Keep trying Home Free. They have so many songs to choose from. Try Helplessly Hoping, Auld Lang Syne, Seven Bridges Road, Take me Home Country Roads to hear harmonies. Home Free just released Folsom Prison Blues and Tim goes really low in that one. Keep reacting. I don’t have just one favorite singer but love Karen Carpenter, Patsy Cline, Jackie Evancho, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby.....too many.
And if you love a cappella check out Voctave. It's a larger ensemble so their harmonies are intricate and spectacular. They do a good bit of Disney stuff (several of the members are part of "Voices of Liberty" at EPCOT in Orlando) but they have a very wide repertoire. Here's a link to "Disney Princess Medley", which features the ladies: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aBCukAJwKN0.html They also have a number of videos where they feature other artists. Here's one with Kirstin Maldonado of Pentatonix and her then-fiance Jeremy Michael Lewis, "Disney Love Medley": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zLMeDUBKmBs.html
That last note is actually Tim. If you pay close attention you will see that Avi is singing along with the rest of the guys (he puts on the cowboy hat while singing with them) while Tim is hitting that bass note. :)
@@Avram42 Yes, all are greats! Do you know Geoff Castelluci from VoicePlay?. Basso profundo and incredible highs! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EbxkOntz2SA.html
Last note was Tim's. If you look you can see him through the fire when the note starts. LOL Chris (left 2016, cowboy hat) and beat boxer Adam Rupp (brothers) are the names I didn't hear you say. I love your excitement, it's infectious. I can't wait to see your reaction to Can't Stop the Feeling when you get to it. Thanks! ^_^
I agree with the choice of Karen Carpenter-the only people that would choose someone else are people that haven’t heard Karen -just my biased opinion ❤️
The thing I like about this song is how the 2 bass singers are singing basically the same notes but the color and tone of their voices are so distinctly different... Avi's was such a smooth bass while Tim's was so gritty. Almost like the difference between an acoustic and an electric bass. That last low note of Tim's isn't even his lowest note. He hits subvocal notes (check out his "Your Man" cover to see what I mean. Both him and Avi have tortured sound systems and blown speakers in live shows, to the excitement of the audience.
The best your man performance by Tim in my opinion is the live version. He goes high, gets shit from Rob, then hits an insane low note and holds it into baby. The crowd generally goes wild for it.
@@crustybass75 actually the misty mountain note is lower, I watched both video reactions and one of the reactors had a piano and she pressed the piano keys till she found out which key the note was and misty mountains low note was lower than this.
We love you Schnell! You’re such a doll! The person you are missing is Adam Chance. Because there are two Adams they call him a Chance. All of their stuff is excellent. But if you want to hear them do something a little more R&B, listen to their cover of “end of the Road” by Boyz II Men.
In their cover of “Folsom Prison Blues,” he’s the only one whose orange jumper is buttoned all the way up. On any comments I see mentioning that, I’ve been replying that he did that to hide the drum kit he had for breakfast.
You have a gift for expressing joy. Your delight in the textures and dynamics of Home Free's musical magic becomes an echo chamber for our own delight--kind of enjoyment on afterburner!
OK, my favorite band has got to be the Eagles. I grew up with them and love their music. A quick point. The very last note, the low and long bass note, is actually Tim, If you watch carefully they show him singing the last couple words and then they show Avi putting his hat on and singing the bop-a-lopa part, while Tim is still holding the low note. As to who you are missing... you are missing the Beat Boxer's brother Chris, you can see him earlier in the video, standing in the back @4:25 in your video, with the cowboy hat on. This is an older video and at this time Adam Rupp ( the beat boxer) and his brother Chris Rupp (who was a founding member) are both part of the group. Chris left amicably (as far as I know of) to go do something else. Adam Rupp has got to be one of the best beat boxers out there. When Chris Rupp left, he was replaced by Adam Chance (yes, so there are two Adams in the group now but everybody seems to call the new Adam by his last name, so you will hear people say "Chance". Adam Chance is an amazing Baritone, and will often pick up the bass line when Tim is singing higher. Also, in the first Home Free video you did "Man of Constant Sorrow", Chance is shown near the end of the video and he is the one using the Mouth Harp to make the strange noise that starts and ends the video.
@Wayne Ripple Really?? What year(s)? I just looked through the BBBWC winners list and he isn’t on it. You sure it was the world beatboxing title? From the research I’ve done he hasn’t won or even entered a global competition for beatboxing.
I have just seen your reaction to Home Free's "Man of Constant Sorrow". Your reactions are just so great!! Please watch/react to Home Free's version of End of the Road and/or Mayday. I promise you will love them!!
The one you missed was Chris Rupp who started group. Tim was the one who hit last note growl . So happy you discoverd Home Free I love you're reactions and volce.
Great Reaction!! I love to see the birth of a new Home Fry (Home Free's Fans)! Last note was Tim's and if you want to here him hit even lower, listen to their new release! It's another Johnny Cash cover "Folsom Prison Blues". Again Great Reaction from a Pretty Lady!!
@@SchnellJordan can i suggest you some rock singers whose voices you might like? Ronnie James Dio (The last in line...Stargazer) Steve Perry (Faithfully...Open arms) Amy Lee (My immortal) Cristina Scabbia (Swamped.....Trip the darkness) Geoff Tate (Silent lucidity)......I don't know if you already know them but if you don't know them since you love the beautiful singing I suggest you listen to them
The way they put things together is amazing. Can't decide who is better them or PTX But there is one thing I know is that I love your reactions Stay Safe 😍 😍
Tim hit G1 for 14 seconds ....and he goes deeper - wait until you hear Folsom prison blues - another Johnny Cash cover - Tim puts an eye opener in there ....
Who invited the bullfrog?? LOL just kidding. Awesome performance, I loved it! Awwww many thanks for the shoutout Schnell. I am honored to share a name with you.
@@SchnellJordan you truly have become my favorite reactor. I am confident that your subscribers will continue to increase rapidly. I hope you enjoyed "Call On Me"
Hey Schnell I'm so glad you were introduced to Home Free they're an Awesome acapella group! I can't wait to continue on this journey with you so let's keep it going with more Home Free! Sending greetings and well wishes from here in the States!😃😃😃😃🎶🎶🎶🎶
I am a huge, huge fan of Avi’s and really liked his part in this song. His solo stuff is great too. For low notes you should also check out VoicePlay’s“Oogie Boogie Song” cover. The very last note will drop your jaw.
Dear Schnell, that last note is all Tim. You should react to Peter Hollens and Tim Foust Misty Mountains to hear him do it again on the last note and you can also hear him go even lower with just Home Free singing a shorter version of this song on the show Sing Off where they competed and won their season, which was the season after Pentatonix won. As far as my favorite, in 2017 it became & probably will remain the GORGEOUS DIMASH. With the holidays coming up PLEASE remember that Home Free & Pentatonix have a number of holiday & faith songs. 🎶👱♀️👗👠👠💓
My favorite of all time - Carpenters. Their harmonies....Home Free is just off the charts GREAT. That not at the end was Tim, and he was hitting G1. The beatboxer is Adam Rupp (look for his drum solo video on RU-vid....there is a reason he has been dubbed "the freak of nature"....h can producee sounds no other human can.
Kevin Clements funnily enough, when the question was asked about “favourite musician”, I thought deeply for all of 10 seconds before coming up with Karen Carpenter. Her vocals have (IMO) still never been matched or surpassed for clarity and gorgeous tonality.
I don’t think they ever officially recorded it, but she sang ABBA’s “Thank You for the Music” on “The Tonight Show” when it was guest-hosted by John Davidson. As much as I love ABBA, I like her version better.
@@mikepope9503 yes sir, and missed so much. She was known as one-take Karen....sh often didn't need a 2nd take on recording a song. I also thought about Patsy Cline too - what a great & emotive singer she was too
When Home Free performed this song that WON them the Finale Competition on the tv series The Sing off, Jewel Recognized that Lowest note that TIM belted out at the end of the song, Which TIM did here as well, was a VERY low Fsharp. It;s No wonder Home Free Won that competition, They all took their God Graced musical gifts, and all together THEY make up A Blessing of a Heavenly Sound of blended vocals to rival Any musical groups that use instruments!!
If you love Nora Jones you have to listen to Angelina Jordan. I suggest you start with her first AGT performance of Bohemian Rhapsody. She just signed with Republic Records as their highest priority artist after they spent seven years trying to sign her along with every other record label including Disney. You will not be disappointed.
Check out Austin singing “Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables! They used to sing this during their concerts to give Adam a break after his beat box solo. Austin is trained in classical & musical theater and worked hard to lose his southern Georgia accent. That didn’t matter after he joined Home Free! You will not hear that accent in this song. Here is a link. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FAarrEj4or8.html
I have listened to too many music artist over the years that it's incredibly hard just to pick one of them. But since I'm more of a heavy metal and video game music fan, I would have to say that my favorite artist is the heavy metal(?) band Disturbed and my favorite song of all time is the Dragonborn theme song for Skyrim.
Search You Tube for Adam Rupp drum solo. It is like av15 min drum solo by Adam in a bootleg recording from a live gig. This iteration of Home Free as Chris Rupp in it Adam's brother, they founded Home Free. Listen to the Sing Off version of Home Free doing Ring of Fire to here Jewel, Ben Fold,Nick Leshay of boy band fame and Sean from BoysII Men react.
If John Mayer is one of your favorites then you need to hear Home Frees cover of his song "In The Blood" it is absolutely great! ' They also do a great cover of Boyz II Men "End of the Road" and Cam's "Mayday". Love your reactions!
If you're a fan of John Mayer, your next logical video might be Home Free's 'In the Blood' ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a1TqpH6PZBo.html
If you like Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, in this one, you will absolutely be floored by his beatbox solo from one of Home Free's live performances, Check it out. You won't be disappointed.
That is a VERY sustained (I think) G1 by Tim. ....Tim has a greater range and is extremely Talented ...I personally prefer Avi's tone and find him slightly more versatile.
Tim, Geoff and Avi all have blown the breakers on some songs. I wish we could get those three to tour together. Call it 'All about that bass' or something.
Avi & Tim stole it, of course they did. But could we please get a shout out to Adam, who apparently owns a complete set of *tuned* splash cymbals? Go see some of Tim's other work. Adam is missed big time.
While either of them could have done it, that last note was Tim's. That also wasn't as low as he can sing. Check out Misty Mountains with Tim and Peter Hollins if you want some real bass goodness.
