Adam Bastien was the perfect fit for home free, his voice is amazing, and i had the same reaction to Chance's high note, that was incredible, he needs to do that more often. I think these guys are gonna have alot of fun together
I've made the point in other places that I think this may be the silver lining to Austin leaving, other people get to do ad-libs. Before, they almost always went with an Austin or sometimes a Tim ad-lib. Now, we get to see more of Rob and Chance's range.
@@julierodda5826 Bastien isn't less Country. He's more modern Country. Modern Country takes influence from R&B, Soul, and yes Pop. You can't convince me that Bastien sounds less Country than Luke Bryan or Florida Georgia Line. Yes the song is a Pop song. However, Home Free's calling card is taking non-country songs and putting a Country twist on them. The twist in this rendition is it's much more lyrical. As we know, Country music tends to be much more about the lyrics than other genres.

I learned a while back that while Tim has a 5-octave range, Chance has a 4-octave range so his high-head voice didn't really surprise me. Love Home Free. I got my tickets for the September 22 show, here in Lancaster Pennsylvania.
It wasn't Chance hitting that high note, he was messing around lip synching to Bastiens vocal line. It's obvious in the behind the scenes footage on patreon but it's fooled a lot of people who have only seen this video. I guess they really did give us something to talk about. Love the energy in this one.

They did a great cover of one of my favorite Bonnie Raitt songs. Bastien's voice was perfect for the lead. Everyone sounded awesome in the background vocals, with Tim's bass & Adam's vocal percussion. Looking forward to more of the new songs with the newest member.
Good to see you jumping on this so quickly. Sooo good, and, yes, AB does have that soulful, velvety tone. Pairs so nicely with Chance's equally velvety vocals and everything Rob brought to this cover. Looked like guys had fun playing with their parts, keeping things lighthearted. Wouldn't have any problem with them showing more versatility and leaning towards blues, R&B, perhaps bit of jazz, etc. Adding AB might help them attract an audience that may have shied away because they were considered more country. Excited to see what's next.
I have loved Bastien's voice for many years. He was in Chris Rupp's group 7th Ave. This was an absolutely amazing song for Bastien to do, it sounds amazing. I always enjoy watching your reaction to this song.
Adam B. Is fantastic! When Chris left home free started seventh Avenue. Bastien recorded several songs with Chris & sister Tristen & Mom Cindy Rupp! He seems to be a natural fit with the guys in Home Free! Nice reaction

I love Chance's high note. I also love that look on Tim's face as Rob spins him in the chair. That was how I felt through this whole song. I loved it! I think Bastein will fit in ok. It is a whole new sound, but one I will really love.
I didn't recognize the song title when this dropped so at first I thought it was an original but damn between Adam S and Rob on the vocals with a little Chance in there they are amazing also Rupp and Tim on the beat and bass this was so much fun to watch/listen to 💃💃💃💃💃💃
Bravo! This is really so awesome! A great entrance for Bastien, but as if he had always been part of Home Free. The Home Free sound is just there. Especially if you listen to it with your headphones. Because even though the lead, harmonies, bass and beatboxing are so great, you still hear/recognize every member sound/voice in this song. The video is also fun, as if Home Free is in my living room where people are singing and laughing.
"Something to Talk About" is one of my favorite Bonnie Raitt songs and, in their usual fashion, Home Free didn't just cover it they upgraded it! Adam Bastien knocked it out of the park! I'll always appreciate Austin Brown, but Bastien is a great fit for Home Free. I look forward to more, More, MORE!
I totally agree, this is the perfect song to introduce Bastien. According to Rob this was Bastien's suggestion. Proofs that he has great taste! Love Tim's bass in this one, too. And of course Bastien in the lead. And everyone else, of course. That high note towards the end was indeed done by Chance. HF confirmed it during the premiere. Thanks for the reaction.

Dennis, fantastic reaction!! I can tell you from first hand experience, it was a THRILL being in the video!!! My favorite sign has to be "2 Adams 2 Many". We had Adam and Chance hold that sign at the end. And it was HOT 🔥 🥵!! I'll talk to you later my friend!!

I don't think Bastien's voice is less Country, I think it's more modern Country. Whereas the rest of the group has had much more of a 90s country sound.
