What a fun cover of John Denver's song. I really enjoy seeing the guys silly side but the vocals never suffer. Love Austin's yodeling. The song teaser at the end is called "All About The Bass" & it is another fun one. And there is also a behind the scenes blooper video.

When you react to All About that Bass, I strongly recommend watching Meghan Trainor's original video first, both for her musical handling and the visuals. It makes the HF version all the better. There is also an outtakes/bloopers video that you should watch after seeing the official video.
The three at the end with the horses are the 'country' boys. Tim Foust (bass holding a chicken) is from southeast Texas; Adam Chance (with sunglasses in the middle) is from Alabama; Austin Brown (red shirt) is from south Georgia. The 2 missing - Adam Rupp (beatboxer) and Rob Lundquist (beard & glasses) are both from Minnesota.
Love this one. The other John Denver song they covered is Take Me Home Country Roads and it's one of my absolute favourites, definitely needs to be high on your list.

I always joked saying I was my daddy's first son. lol I helped him in the garden, mow the yard, gather and chop wood, fix the water lines when they froze in the winter, and hunting. I was glad when my little brother finally came along to take the pressure off of me so I could finally be a girl. lol :)
@@thomasmacdiarmid8251 I still go hunting with my daddy every spring, but he just turned 80, so it's starting to get harder for him to get around through the woods now. I'm good with not having to do any of the other stuff anymore...it all sucked! I swore when I left home I'd never do it again and I haven't. I hated it, but he needed the help for the good of the family, so I did it.
@@PaulaLPope Don't know how lucky you were. When I was a kid I followed my Dad around like a puppy, wanting to do everything he did & with him. While he tolerated me being there he always told "this is man's work". So I was never really included. Hated women's work & still do to this day (I'm 72). I still do the mowing, any repairs & mtce. Cleaned all the mower decks the other day in 90 degree heat. Dad died 20+ years ago at 90+. You are/were blessed.
@@patriciab8876 Oh, I know. I'm a daddy's girl, too. Fortunately, I still have both of my parents...I'm 55. Still didn't enjoy having to do a lot of the work I had to do, though.
This is so awesome!! Austin's vocals with the yodel part. The background vocals and incredible beatboxing/vocal percussion. The Home Free twist ! But the best part was the video. Really hilarious!

Two songs you might want to do closer to the 4th of July is a Home Free original, "Land of the Free" or "Proud to Be An American" with Lee Greenwood & the Air Force Band's "Singing Sergeants"! I also love silliness. To be more serious for a moment vocal harmony requires respect for the other singers. Of course I like when skilled musicians show off their chops but I prefer that it is done with a spirit of collaboration. Home Free are well respected for their individual talents but as with the best of bands or choirs they honor the talents of those accompanying them. I believe the combination of laughing at themselves and mutual recognition of talent makes them more broadly liked. Not a bad life lesson IMO.
Great reaction to this well done cover by HomeFree.. but, you really should watch/listen to the original sung/written by John Denver, I think you’d enjoy it - and his catalogue too.
So the beer is a two fold thing. You can get a hint of the beer taste to your food specially if added to a marinade. The main reason specially when working with charcoal is to cool down what your cooking or the coals directly underneath it. Great for "flare ups" on gas grills also.

Personally, I like to watch hers, then their video to compare, then I watch their blooper reel, showing their rehearsal and outtakes. There's also a Home Free All About That Bass Chris Rupp Critical Reaction Video found at the ChrisRuppOffical YT channel. Chris is the one in the cowboy hat and he's beatboxer Adam's brother and co-founder. He's since left for other projects including 7th Ave with their sister Tristin and Cypress Fyre.

My air force dad vet, later 37yrs at miller brewery sent me to the family farm he grew up on. I made fresh bread, churned natural butter, harvested mustard, made jam from berries I picked and fed calves I helped delivered after milking their mommas. I was also good at managing barn cats. Would NOT trade that childhood knowledge for the world
I love this one. They don’t mind being goofy and I love that. They were all missing Austin. Austin can yodel some can’t he? Just a good rendition. The song that played after was All About the Bass. You might like Country Fried Pop Medley too for fun. Or try Blue Ain’t Your Color, Folsom Prison Blues, What We Ain’t Got. Not all their songs are super country, try Dive Bar Saints, How Great Thou Art, Brothers in Arms. Good reaction Greg.
Oh my gosh!!! Im 40 years old but I can remember as a child, my daddy trying to teach me to cut wood. We had a wood stove in the early years... I managed as as kid. Feeling bad for non contry folk these days. Gotta know how to do these things.

I don't know about pouring beer on the meat on the grill but we soak brisket in beer, seasonings and italian dressing overnight. Tastes great when it's done and tender as heck after smoking all day.
This is one of my favorites!! I'm so glad they did this one, and did it so well! I have a 20 yr old handicapped son and we listen to music all the time! He used to love this by John Denver & sang it/played it constantly! 🤣 It was so fun. So, when Home Free did it....omg!! Yes, beer acts as a tenderizer and flavors the meat if you marinade it preferably overnight. Try it sometime. Also, try a Beer Chicken - beer can inserted into the cavity of a chicken, then stand up on the grill. (You can buy holders for the chicken.) Have fun & thanks for your reactions. Pouring beer on meat? TRUE! What I do, is get a bowl, put the meat in it, then pour beer into it until the meat’s covered, and let it marinate for an hour, then put the meat on the grill. So tasty! It’s great!
Well, that beer question, it's better when you marinate the meat in beer for a few hours, than you can taste it. Always a great song from Home Free, as always!!

Bratwurst should be poached in Beer before grilling it, and YES it adds flavor. I prefer using a Bock, or a Stout to poach mine. The Darker the better.
Hit my house about October...plenty of wood to chop...after we take down a couple of big oaks and cut them into pieces that fit the stove. And yes, beer is an excellent grill accessory!
