Dope setup. It might be worth it to get retractable shades for various reasons. They'll be super important for blocking out the sun, which I predict will wreck your eyes when you're benching out of the squat stand; you would have to move the equipment against the fence more in, but it might be worth it. The shades will also be good for the rain. Your equipment won't rust much in the Nevada heat, but they will if they get wet on the occasion that it rains. If you REALLY want to make this a permanent setup, then consider converting the patio into a sunroom/three seasons room/four seasons room
A sunroom in Vegas? Are you smoking crack? Lol It’s going to be bad enough trying to get a workout in when it’s triple digit weather a sun room would turn into a sauna.
Coming from a homegym owner. Since your gym is outdoors and you have to deal with the elements I recommend a leaf blower to quickly blow away dirt and other debris. Also a big outdoor fan for the summers, I love the setup! Obviously you need a weight tree id look at oak club to keep the aesthetics or rogue.
I live in Vegas. Absolutely no way I’d have an outdoor gym here. The weather and wind sucks 80% of the time. I have a dope garage gym with air conditioning. I’d definitely recommend walling off that patio and installing a mini split.
Such a dope home gym setup! So much space. The setting up of different things for different workouts is time consuming with a home gym rack so this is nice to bounce around quicker. I’m just concerned for the Vegas elements. The monsoon season, wind, dust, cold, heat. My setup is in the garage and it still gets really dusty. I definitely would get a good leaf blower to blow all the dust from your floor/gear. Also some fans because I know working out in my garage is an inferno during the summer in Vegas. I’m sure it’s even hotter outside and I’m guessing the sun sets right around that spot. “It’s a dry heat though” as people say here lol
I would definitely find a way to close off the side yard, with some type of walls or glass doors to protect it from the elements. I have my gym in mg back patio with windows, and even when I leave the windows open for too long, the dust is insane. I can barely keep my outdoor furniture protected WITH covers. The Las Vegas heat will destroy all that equipment within a couple years. BUT the set up looks noiceeee.
Nice setup, would love to have a gym that is semi outside like this, unfortunately summers are too hot and winters are too cold where I’m at. I would be a little worried about the occasional rain storm causing water to get under the rubber mats. Good lead to mold.
Should get a chest-supporting row pad like the Rogue Prichette Pad... lets you use your landmine and protects your back while adding the difficulty level vs a seated row
Should use the hammer arms for Viking presses or just shoulder presses. Totally worth it. Rest of the jammer arm uses are legit but take time to set up. Shoot should even look at the j squat. Or at least adding a belt squat to your set up.
My concern would be inside equipment is best in a more climate controlled environment dust and constantly changing humidity won't be good in the long run looks great though.
Thank you for the tour. You did not name the Cable Machine or the Power Rack I’m assuming they are both from Sorinex! Also your camera guy needs to stop swinging the camera around so much. At the end of your video he got better at the still frame. Nice set up for sure thank you again.
I am wondering the same. I noticed puddles in some spots (standing water and metal are not friends). I wonder if extending the roofline with a slant might help to reduce the water from getting in.
i also have my setup in the same type of situation having it open wasnt too much of a problem before but as of late the rain is getting in and its pretty cold where i am so i'm looking for ways to cover it up
noticed that too it was pushed up flush with the wall so no other choice I guess. looks like that rack is just for squat inside while facing the front posts. also his theory of dual stations to work out with the homies would only apply to squats as the 6 post isn’t setup for bench inside (due to plate storage) or outside (due to jammer arms).
Think one better piece you can upgrade is get the titan fitness squat max. Great for squatting and doesn’t put all the pressure on your spine like a barbell. Otherwise sick set up
never understood home gyms that are outdoors unless if it's a second setup. shit is going to get flooded, sun damage, rust, and it's going to be shitty working outside.
I could never understand why they put the heaviest weights at the bottom. like 45s on a rack. It makes more sense sliding the them off from waste, or chest height. I've been a gym bro for the past 25 years... Gets bit frustrating after a 1hr half session of legs, trying to wriggle and slide 45,55s at the bottom of the plate holder's. It's a fckin back workout in Itself 😂 Gyms gotta change that.
I want so badly to move my home gym outside for space but I get way too many spiders here. I don’t want to be in the middle of benching and a spider lands on my face😵
