Here are, in my opinion, the top ten Tim and Jill fights from the 90s sitcom Home Improvement. This one is #s 5-1. If you feel that there were any that I missed, then feel free to mention them. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy!
This show was SOOO well written and the dynamic between Jill and Tim is just perfect even all these years later. They don’t make shows like these anymore. 😢
@@shadowbeast2276 Sometimes Jill and the other kids, too. He might not always have the right sort of advice for them, but it does leave them something to think about, so they wouldn’t have to make the same mistakes again.
@@chrisfinch8637 I absolutely love this show. I bought it after it was released on DVD. And a lot of people actually enjoyed the show because not only is it humorous but a lot of married couples especially the wives say the arguments are very close to reality. They absolutely nailed this show. All the great chemistry.
i remember watching this as a kid instead of studying and doing my homework, which later progress and followed me through life. Now in my mid 30's i'm single and full blown loser!
I liked the one where Jill accidentally leaves Tim's hot rod out in the snow after she needed to use the garage for Christmas pageant. Tim really got mad at her and Jill yells at him back. At the end Tim yells at her, "Wait a minute, YOU ARE GOOD, you screw up and I get yelled at."
Classic routine in a marriage. The husband can screw up and gets yelled at. The wife screws up and the husband gets yelled at. Sounds like my last relationship. I didn't screw up too often, but I got yelled at, which was understandable. My ex screwed up a lot, and she still yelled at me.
Too be Fair Tim did Drop A 3 ton Beam On Jill's NoMad Station wagon it was Justified and Jill still helped Tim dry the Hot Rod Overnight And admitted she was wrong she's a Saint for putting up with Tim's shenanigans Time in and time out
I've noticed that on the rare occasion the argument is Jill's fault she genuinely feels bad about it. Whenever it's Tim's fault he doesn't really care, he just wants to not get in trouble.
It’s his comedy show “Men Are Pigs” that became the inspiration for this show, along with his theories on how men and women react together, in the same household.
You should... MAKE MORE of these!! I watched this AS a kid so I didnt catch all the married couple things like now after 14 years of marriage and I LOVE THIS!!!
Samantha Cranford Right, I doubt there was ever a bad episode of this series, you were always guaranteed at least 2-3 laugh out loud moments in ever one
My favorite is when Tim sticks his foot in his mouth (for the ten thousandth time) and Jill throws a croquet balls down the air vent Tim had unscrewed to find her wedding ring.
"My wife asked me how I was feelin.." (harmonica) "A croquet ball came down from the ceiling.." (Tim & Wilson together) "I got the low-down croquet ball blues." LMAO
#1 Was the reason essentially some friends and I came up with "Man Night." Every Monday we made agreements with our girlfriends to not have to be home at a specific time for dinner. We even started a dart league at bar and none of us really played darts.
Remember the one where Tim says "never order double onions on a chilli dog", then proceeds to drop a bomb under the covers? That was the tool man at his finest!!!
Because they are adults and unlike adults nowadays, who are pretty much children in adult bodies, you don’t get a divorce at the first sign of trouble. You try to work through the problems.
@@TheLoneGamr And also this was an eight-season series, so "Home Improvement" wouldn't have been what it was, without these arguments between Tim and Jill, and their kids, as well as Tim's mishaps on "Tool Time". This goes to show that it was one of the best TV sitcoms to ever grace the 90s.
After they called cut on the #1 pick: Tim: Geez, Pat. Are you alright? Pat: Yes, Tim. That's called acting. Tim: ...Oooooooooooohhhh. I should try that.
Wow. I remember having watched this show and now I see how I was blind for so long. I just assumed that media and writing started turning in the late 2000's early 2010's. Turns out my whole childhood was full of it. Sad.
Having a Super Bowl get-together, while my own wife is not feeling well, would be the last thing on my mind. She tried to warn him, but Tim still kept being Tim, with his "Super Bowl Fever".
I don't plan anything anymore. Planned a birthday party for a girlfriend at the club. Had table reserved, bought a cake for her, had a nice gift for her. She showed up with her girlfriends and was spending all the time with them. I left message that she obviously didn't want to be with me then took cake and gift and left. She called next day and day after. Finally called her the 3rd day and told her how I felt about it.
Great list! The other fight that could be included was the one from "Some Like it Hot Rod", where Jill accidentally left Tim's hot rod out in the snow, uncovered.
Or that pilot where Tim explodes the dishwasher despite Jill's stern warning not to bother messing it and Jill going ballistic when she was rejected from her job.
They left the one out where Jill left the hot rod out in the snow with the top down and didn’t tell tim...he finds out eventually and starts yelling at her, and how irresponsible she was...turns it around on tim and says it’s his fault. “Beep beep, back up!! My fault?!” She leaves mad and tim says “Wait a minute!! You screw up and you’re blaming me??!! You are good!!” 😆...That was 100% my folks...
Hey, man, thanks so much for uploading these!! My favorite fight is the one where Jill's girlfriends see Tim all dressed up before he goes to work, hes funny and charming, etc. Of course that turns Jill on. He takes the kids to the demolition derby and Jill plans a sexy night in the bedroom when the kids go to bed for them when he returns. He gets into bed, she's wearing this lingerie. Well, because he was at the derby, he ate junk food so he is burping and farting LOL, TOTALLY ruining sexy night. This isnt a criticism, it certainly wasnt one of their top fights, so I understand why you didnt include it. I just wanted to share it with you and my fellow HI fans. Miss that show. One of the best - one of the few that NEVER brought politics or PC culture BS into it. Now, rarely a show you watch DOESNT do that. Home improvement will always be one of the best. A classic. You stay safe, my man!
I completely agree with number 1. The others are great too. But would have swapped one of them out with the fight in the pilot episode. The scene after Jill told Tim, "don't touch the dishwasher". As with "Read My Hips", Patricia Richardson was fantastic during that scene. She played the angry wife so well. On this list I would swap out the "Bud Bowl" for that one.
The biggest part that's funny is Jill might not have seen the show that day but the person that was the insurance agent at the other end of the telephone call did
I liked them a lot. There's a woman, who I'm good friends with, who guest-starred in one of these episodes, here. She sure got Tim off of his rocker with Jill, at the start of this clip.
9:42 Tim flinches when Jill turns around and goes off. This was one of the moments when Pat actually startled Tim Allen. She was so into the part that he actually jumped when she did that. There was another time too but I don't remember which scene he said that was.
Haha!! It was so slight, but he did look terrified for a millisecond there! I love when women get to intimidate men once in a while cause it’s usually the other way around 😂
I was laughing through a lot of the scenes with Tim from all the crazy antics from his screw ups on Tool Time like dropping a 3 ton bean on the family sedan to blowing up Beni's house to running over a toy car to all the stupid jokes he always made to all the mixups of the advice Wilson gave him to him gluing his head to a table and coming home with a piece of it stuck to his head to him accidentally shooting his shop teacher in the butt with a nail gun to all the times he walked down to the basement and kept hitting his head on a pipe or when him and Jill were on the Army base man Tim Allen is such a funny guy.
Jill: Well, I maintain the house, so I guess that would make it mine. Tim: Well, it can't be yours, you didn't pay for it. Uh -- Jill: So, technically, the house is yours, because you paid for it? Tim: Technically.....but I don't charge you any rent!
I was watching the entire video thinking "How on Earth could he forget Read My Hips?" Lo and Behold - it's there in first spot! Great job! "Pretty... heavy... stuff..." LOL!
It really gives the impression of there really married amazing actors and Actress you know you almost forget that they’re not married and that is to show home improvement was always my favorite show when I was growing up we would watch home-improvement and then Walker Texas Ranger on ABC Wednesday night was like the night for all the cool stuff all the great programs the family would sit down with a bag of popcorn and just sit down around the TV watch home-improvement and Walker Texas Ranger I miss those times
Ladies for the love of Gawd, we are not you, we don't think like you, we don't feel like you do, if you want your man to know that you are in the Mood.....JUST TELL US!
you don't have a wife or girlfriend do you?....because if you did then you would want to do special things like this not only as a sign of your love n' affection but to show how much you cherish all the time you spend together and she would do the same for you!! It's a give n take 50/50 deal you each share. couples do that for each other almost all the time and most guys with half a nats brain would be able to pick up the signals for "IN THE MOOD" just as we pick up signals from when YOU GUYS are in the mood! not just by the amount of emphasis we use in something; they'd pay attention to a little something called "BODY LANGUAGE" !!!!
Has anybody seen the episode where Jill drops a Croquet ball through a vent shaft and hits Tim in the head twice? To me that was their best argument ever. Granted number one was really good. All I can say is Tim for the love of god learn when to shut your mouth and just let her vent.
Tim had a knack of digging himself deeper into trouble with Jill. As I would watch Tim do or say the WRONG thing and make things worse, I would go in that grunting voice, "OH NO!" LMAO!
There needs to be more funny fights involving situations like when Tim destroyed Jill’s car. I mean come on a married couple arguing is fine , but the 2 ton beam car destruction was funny af
Nope..because you bums have the attitude that if you the man make the money its YOURS..yet when both bring in an income then yall want to say it's the family..gtfoh
In spite of their fights, I think Tim and Jill were a much better couple than say Ray/Debra Barone or the Doug/Carrie Heffernan. I love those shows too but those two couples are really mean to each other. Carrie and Doug seem to hate each other starting in like the 7th season.
