That scene in the grocery store with Brendon's mom and all the teachers is exactly how it goes down in real life, painfully awkward for a good 3 minutes and then just when everyone is about to leave someone always has to make things worse by recommending a get-together.
This show was absolute genius. It's amazing it's so simple and yet it's so funny at so many different levels. I love that it's told from the perspective of kids in like the 2nd grade on the playground back in the good old days. I don't know why it's so funny but it is.
8:40 direct translation: A beautiful sports car to drive in with your friends. [Even] If it bumps into a tree, its fine. Faster than a caterpillar. For a the dream of a fun lifestyle, a fantastic, sexy John Mcguirk. (The text, in order: beautiful, fast, new) The japanese is actually adequately pronounced, but some sentences are grammatically strange. You can still understand what theyre trying to convey though.
This show was always on when I was half awake and when I watched it it was like its interesting and at the same time what I'm I watching I never got a chance to fully watch it lol kinda the same with the oblongs
Damn. This show is just something else. Its so different from any other show I’ve ever watched and just gets that deep-level ironic humor to another level. Ironic humor is so popular nowadays but I bet if this show somehow made its way back onto TV or streaming services again people would be scratching their heads.
I remember waking up at 6:00 a.m. To get ready for school. And home movies, moral oral, or king of the hill running in the background. That was most of the 2000s for me.
Brendon may have Dethklok, H Jon and Loren Bouchard may have also created Bob's Burgers, he may also be Archer....but they'll always be Brendon and Coach to me first and foremost.
9:28 Man I completely forgot about that weird time in the early 2000s when the west and Japanese had that whole love affair thing going on and also just that white background 3D car thing, if anyone knows gorillaz’s 19-2000 video
Jackson Barada Why is McGurk in a goddamn Japanese [adult swim] bumper in his own car? What a legend! He’s bad at communication, but ho knows why are or how Coach McGurk does what he does?
