the older i get, the more i realize God makes no mistakes. your natural hair not only is beautiful, but it SUITS you. suits your spirit! absolutely gorgeous.
@@ginadermody3842 lol even so, so many creators fail to link many of the things they say they’ll link. Even recipe creators often forget to list ingredients used and I have to comment - what was that ingredient and how much used?
I’m enjoying watching you mature as a person. The more authentic you are, the more online longevity you’ll create. Keep it rolling and yes, I prefer the videos you’ve edited. 🌺
So happy that this was an at-home vlog! They are my favourite. I would say to keep vlogging even though you are ahead, because I'm sure there will be weeks when you are super busy or feeling under the weather, and may not be able to film. You could even throw in an extra video some weeks if you are really ahead, which you know we would all love!
Yes, I love “ The Day in the Life At Home” videos as well. Chock full of new ideas and very helpful. Everything from recipes, home decor, finding places for inherited objects to fashion and makeup. 💕💕
Loved this video, loved the variety of a well-rounded life (planting, chickens, family heirlooms, the shed, great recipe, natural hair, clothes, makeup, the gorgeous Ali, etc). Keep it up!!
I really feel you can tell the difference since you’ve edited the videos… you feel more real if that makes sense and you’re much more relatable. Your personality shines through. I love your curls by the way…👌
Hi Lydia, I'm pretty sure we can handle more of “Lydia Millen” every week, so I'd so keep on filming as you rock at it. I noticed your last videos had a special touch in it now it explains everything. Thank you for being such a kind and inspirational person.
I noticed something different in your videos - they are so much more relaxed and you are so much more in-tune or aware? not sure how to say it but they are different and I really do enjoy them. Not saying I didn't enjoy them before - I just like the more relaxed version of how they are now. I feel like we are seeing "Lydia" as she really is. Bravo!
I love watching all your content from H&M to Hermes to gardening and everything in between. You have become my favorite youtuber/influencer 😊 keep doing what you are doing.
Yea! Me too on the natural hair Lydia. The fully done, glamorous Lydia is aspirational but the more casual, natural Lydia of today’s video is identifiable. I’m 78 so I am grateful every morning and I let God know. Blessings
Your natural hair is so so beautiful!!!!! The more you take care of it the easier it gets, coming from someone who also straightened and colored her hair for years. My biggest tip that’ll save you some time is knowing if your hair is low porosity or high porosity! It will make curating products for your curls so much more easier, welcome to the curly girl club Lydia💕💕
Good afternoon Lydia. Oh lovely Ali has brought my dad to my mind today with all those things he is showing. All those carpentry tools were used by my father, he did wood work, especially cabinets for rich people. Loved the smelling of the glue, thinners and spray paint. He made beautiful things, today my daughter and son have them kept as relics. My dad died 28 years ago and my memories are of him in his workshop making these beautiful cabinets. Blessings to both of you.
I love your natural curls, as a curly girl I’m always pro-curl! I use the Davines “love curl” shampoo and conditioner, then when my hair is still damp after the wash I run through the beauty pie hair oil followed by a small amount of davines curl gel oil - my hair loves it and it’s super low maintenance! I’m also loving the editing style. ❤
Lydia, don't doubt your vibe.. Just go with the flow -- no one will hardly notice the time difference. We just wanna see what youre up to. Keep it up xx
I love your vlogs at home whether it’s a clothes try on, cooking soup which looked delicious, gathering eggs, or playing with your dogs. You are so genuine, beautiful inside & outside and I’m loving the positive affirmations on Instagram and in your vlogs. Your vlogs always make my day! Thank you! 😊❤️
@@Dianna-vv6lc just because you have natural curls it doesn’t mean you don’t have to treat them and use special products on them. You want to use different shampoo/ hair products on bleached hair, oily hair, dry hair, curly hair… etc.
The tool Ali wasn't sure about is a scythe, used for cutting long grass, my Dad had a drill exactly the same as that. it's lovely to use inherited items that are useful plus they'll look great displayed in the shed. Mint and cucumber are refreshing in a water bottle.
1 jumper and jeans lately - Love; 2 natural hair - Love, do it more often; 3 the fact that you have to explain why you have a gardener is unfortunate. You get help whenever you see fit; 4 I’ve really been enjoying your vids this year!
Lydia, you truly do stand out from the crowd. Your content, your views & autheticity. I absolutely love how comfortable & confident you are as a person as well as in what you represent 👌 As always another fab vlog. Beautiful Blessings Mandy ⚜️ (SA)
I found you about a week or two ago at this point, ended up eventually merathoning your YT shorts, THEN i discovered your massive vlog library, which entertained me most of a sunday, and i redownloaded tiktok just to almost go through everything on your profile there. It's been wonderful escapism and learning that you are also an arachnophobe like me is very comforting 😂 also it's because of you i'm now on vestiaire collective, follow a bunch of other resale sites you have mentioned on IG and plan on (after summer hols is paid..) start saving for a new handbag pre-loved, i've personally fallen in love with a few of the loewe ones ❤thanks for being a lovely bubbly guide into a new sphere of fashion i wasn't aware of before. Kind regards, Julie , 32, from Denmark
also the last thing you talked about i really appreciate. i like that you are open about how you do things and your thoughts on your channel and content etc. as i understood you, you are worried the content will be from "too long ago" once you upload, if that correct? If that's the case you could just occasionally do an unscheduled bonus video once in a while? if your concern is that a bit of a "a queue" of video is emerging. Hope you find a solution that you are happy with :)
I love the idea of gifting seeds, especially seeds from vegetables you have grown with your own hands. What a beautiful gift to receive. The kind of gift that says I love you enough to put my time and heart into setting special for you.
Loved this vlog Lydia, thank you. And I’m in complete agreement about “no shame” in admitting you get in extra help with household chores, including garden maintenance. Once we were able, my husband and I brought in a bi-weekly housekeeper for the inside and a lawn service for the outside. GAME CHANGER! We both work full-time, have active/busy children and both services are a lifesaver! I still set up my veg and flower garden every year mostly myself over a few weekends in spring, and the service helps with weekly weeding, and any small chores needed. So helpful and allows me to do the many other things to keep our lives “lifing”😂
I started my curly hair ouney 2 years ago, and it is a amazing what an extra hour a day does not having to fight, straighten and recurl. You look amazing, love it
Your hair natural is just so pretty, I have to say watching you evolve and grow on your channel has just been so inspiring,I’m a pretty fussy person on who I choose to watch and I find your varied content such a beautiful mix of everything I really love and appreciate! I admire your authenticity so much and just how raw you are at times! Loving this new content, When I need to decompress I pop you on and just unwind! So thank you. No need to stress, your killing it, love seeing all the animals as I’m also a huge animal lover and nothing makes me happier then pottering around my home also, cooking, organising, cuddling my dogs and surrounding myself with all the people or animals that ❤ me, and just feed my soul.
Love when Lydia takes the moments to talk as she is doing at 30:00-approx 32:00. Recognizing gratitude is important for yourself and towards others. …and on another note- envious of your hair and your lemon trees Lydia!
ali i believe the two things you were holding are called scythes. they are used in the garden to help cut weeds and brush around your vegetables and flowers and ect.
Your natural hair is stunning! Also, the antique tool haul from Ali’s grandfather is amazing!! I’ve been antiquing for 32 years and those are some really nice ones and they are so meaningful as well ❤️
I’m typically a silent watcher but when Ali pulled out that sled I made an audible gasp! I’ve never seen another like it! My great grandfather passed that same sled down to my father who passed it to me. They used to use it to pull the babies/kids to the store through the snow here in California! It’s such an incredibly special heirloom to have!
Loooove your Grandad's finds. It's a sled, and the half round blades are sickles for cutting blades of grass Mr. Ali and Ms. Lydia...wonderful momentos 🥰⚘️blessings ya'll
Lydia i dont know if you would be interested, but i slice lemoms and freeze them in baggies. Then i add a few frozen slices to my ice water. Its wonderful.
I love when you share with us the things that help your mental health and it's obvious that you've worked very hard to get where you are. I love when you are in the greenhouse and we see the dogs and chickens ❤ Lumi was chatting away to as well. I could totally see you wearing that dress to the races with the bow detail. This is a fab vlog because you are happy and we feel it ❤
Here’s what I think about your vlogs, be they filmed a week, a day or an hour ahead-post them! Your content and editing has been so good that before I know it, I’ve only got five minutes left! Your vlog game is strong 😊
I enjoy the outdoor footage too - you with the dogs, out in the fields, etc. I would enjoy a bit more of that too, and then, whatever cozy drink or snack you fix when you return home... and all the fashions that you wear for the countryside too! You hair and the highlights inspire me, and I try to get a version of that going in my looks too. Thanks for all you share.
Loved this video, this is my favourite type of vlog you do. I just like watching the general day today little things and all the wholesome aspects like the gardening interspersed with the fashion. Also the khaki jeans are 👌
It's either a sickel or sythe for cutting down wheat etc.. it's great to have some old tools we have some bits and pieces from Peter's Dad and we used to have a metal toolbox of my Dad's but I've not seen it for years.
Hi Lydia 🕊 I’ve been watching your videos for years and every time I open RU-vid I unconsciously wish for your upload to appear 😂 Before you even mentioned that you are now editing your own videos I was thinking this was one of the best vlogs of yours I’ve watched in a while so don’t panic 😂
Loving all Grams things. The 2 hook looking things I think are called a sieve used for cutting down long grass. The sledge would be lovely on the porch at Christmas with a plant on top.
This video is absolutely a bit of me! Loved the food prep- you should collect all the peels and refrigerate until you have a good amount to then boil for a veg stock. Perfect for a risotto 🩶
Your natural hair is just like mine, I've had such a love hate relationship with my curls most of my adult life...Until I embraced my uniqueness. Your hair is so beautiful curly/wavy. I'm also loving your videos so far this year, it's important to grow and as you grow, so should your channel. Those that no longer are on your frequency will fall away and you will draw to you more people who vibe with your energy. ❣
Great job on the shed! Lydia please don’t fill it up with too much stuff! Watching Ali looking at the tools brought a tear to my eye. He looked like a little kid with new items. Love it
Those are scythes Ali that farmers used for cutting their crops. The short ones are for the yard, smaller ares. Lydia your videos are good, I loved them when you were in your other house. We all grow and learn as we get older and that is life if you don’t lie to yourself to want to stay the same.
Loved this video so much! In an age where your industry is (seemingly) pushing you to make more more more and shorter, fast content, I really look forward to your long-form videos and hearing your thoughts around everything.
Oh my goodness your hair looks gorgeous naturally. Also I did notice a difference in your vlogs but much prefer the natural vlog to the picture perfect I love your vlogs because of you & your wonderful personality… Your original & definitely my favorite 😍😍
I left a comment on a vlog a month or so ago, around no longer feeling inspired by your lifestyle as you felt so out of touch. However, I just wanted to say how much this vlog made me smile. It felt so down to earth, genuine and authentic. I (personally) feel irritated by the excess that influencers can dump on us, but this was simply joyful without the need to talk about new things constantly. Thank you ❤
The comment about your natural hair I agree. You’re lovely in any way you decide you show up, Lydia. ❤But I watched some much older video where you had dark brown hair, with maybe some low lights-Simply Stunning ❤
I have the exact same hair but for some reason I think it looks absolutely beautiful on you but HATE it on me. I do keep it curly in the Summer because it is just too much of a problem- my tips: no washing unless absolutely necessary, spray with conditioner only and only use Curlsmith products
Vlogs are so lovely so natural lovely that you think so much about what you put out and how you consider everything you do whether it be being kinder as a person or purchasing less or carding for your animals everyone can see that you are trying to be the best person you can be it’s just so nice to see. I honestly don’t understand why people feel the need to complain when you are trying so hard . These videos are so homely and comforting always makes me want to get out into my garden and start my planting or baking . I also feel that I am watching someone who is being truthful and honest about how they live their life I never feel like I am watching something that isn’t real life I actually feel as though I know you and you are one of my friends who just lives too far away for me to visit ❤x
...also I am loving your approach to style. Using what you have. Adding pieces that fit and incorporating accessories to change things up. When you have quality pieces, that you love, you don't need to buy so much.
Aw beautiful Lydia i just adore you. Monday and thuradays are my favourite days because of you. I could literally watch your content every day. Such a beauty inside and out. Also your natural hair, my god Its beautiful ❤
Your videos have always been great and the editing of this one is great as well. I love that you’re trying so many new things in 2024. I hope you find your chicken sweater.
It's a Sickle, one of the most ancient of harvesting tools, consisting of a metal blade, usually curved, attached to a short wooden handle. The short handle forces the user to harvest in a stooped or squatting position
Sending a hello from Chicago in America. ❤the new look. You look absolutely stunning. I love your casual yet classic look with natural hair. It gives you a softer and approachable appearance.
The most nutritional dense food is beef. There are no essential carbohydrates. You can always get a CGM if you wanna know your blood sugar is doing when you eat carbs.
You look gorgeous with your natural hair! I love your content the most when you’re being true to yourself. You being different than me, while being smart and a good person, I find very interesting.
Absolutely LOVING your natural hair and excited to see where the journey takes you. I completely love all the videos you have been putting out and adore all the fun and different content ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The women here in Spain have some of the most beautiful curly styled hair I have seen anywhere! They fully embrace it. It’s almost envious how silky and bouncy and curly it is. I’m from the states and am so accustomed to seeing curly haired gals straighten it so that’s the perspective I’m coming from. What I would give for an sliver of a wave in my stick straight hair that I curly every single day 😂🤎
Noticed the subtle changes and have been enjoying thus far! Keep it up :) also enjoy being ahead it will afford you breathing space should you ever need it!
