Home remedies may seem harmless but they are not. Always understand that a particular aha net does to your face in order to avoid any adverse effects Here are some frequently used home remedies that can harm the skin : Lemon 🍋 Lemon is used on the face to lighten dark spots but it can sensitise the skin towards sun. This can make your skin appear a darker. Thought it maybe ok to use lemon occasionally on other body parts, never use it on the face. ◼️Alternative: Use a serum containing kojic acid or alpha arbutin instead to reduce dark spots. Garlic 🧄 Garlic is used on acne or moles or skin tags. It can cause chemical burn. It is too irritating for the skin. It makes acne worse by damaging skin barrier. It doesn’t work on moles and it will only burn the upper layer of skin and mole is usually deeper. Please do not use garlic on your skin. ◼️Alternative : Use acne patches or salicylic acid spot treatment for acne. Moles and skin tags are best removed at a dermatologist clinic as topical treatments do not work Ice🧊 Ice can feel soothing on irritated skin but can also dry the skin out. It may help in temporarily shrinking open pores. Always wrap an ice cube in towel before applying it on the skin. Never use it directly. And do not put it on for extended periods . Use 10 secs on and 10 secs off technique to ensure you are not harming the skin. ◼️Alternative: using a green tea bag or a cold spoon is safer for depuffing and reducing redness Steam ♨️ Steam is popular due to the soothing warm effect of the skin. It is not actually beneficial. Steam inhalation works well if you have stuffy nose, cough, sore throat or nasal allergies. Use an appliance which only covers nose and mouth versus the one which covers the whole face . Steam maybe helpful in removing blackheads and whiteheads. It can dry skin out and can exacerbate rosacea, melasma and dark spots.
Taking steam is fine for limited time provided you wash your face under cold tap water following it . Also, apply ice wrapped in a soft clean piece of cloth which removes chances of any ice burn. Ice is actually very beneficial against sun damage, heat burn, open pores , excess oil secretion. It also helps make up last longer and flawless if applied prior to makeup. I'm a doctor myself and these are my advice .
I wouldn't wish ice burn on my worst enemies, I've gotten it twice in my life. People are always talking about hitting your shin on a scooter and getting a cardboard cut, ice burns are above that. The first time I got them on my tongue and ate something sour after, it's literally 10x worse than rubbing salt or lime into a wound.
Ji bilkul sahi kha aap ne.. Meri skin bhi ice se bhut hi achi ho jati he or muje to summer me us ke bina chalta hi nhi he... Tight ho jati he skin or mood bhi fresh ho jata he..
I use ice directly on my face after facewash, it doesn't burn on my skin but sometimes my skin turns a slight red but it goes away after 1-2 mins. Ice helped me get rid of my inflammatory acne (because whenever i touch my skin i feel its burning hot and ice helps it cool it down) and also ice helps my skin pores closed and also reduces the acne redness... I have dry and not so sensitive skin so ice works on my skin.
@Chetana Baby u shouldn't apply ice because it makes ur skin sensitive! And ice doesn't actually benefit the skin.....it just makes it look clearer and soothing for sometime
Garlic burnt my skin so bad that it took almost six months to reduce the dark burnt mark on my face! I learnt to use gerlic on pimple to reduce it from skin care vlogs. Then it turned into a nightmare for me!😨🙃
Ofcourse because it opens the pores to remove dirt and impurities from the skin.. Which is why applying facepack is suggested after that.. that helps in locking the pores
You should use any product of your skin type. Such as, my skin type is combination so I use prodicts which are made for combination skin type. If your t zone(forhead, nose, chin) is oily but your cheeks are dry then you have a combination skin type. If your skin appears shiny throughout, you likely have oily skin. If it feels tight and is flaky or scaly, you likely have dry skin. Normal skin is neither too dry nor too oily. It has regular texture, no imperfections and a clean, soft appearance, and does not need special care. Sensitive skin is a condition characterized by stinging, burning and itching sensations. The diagnosis, pathophysiology and treatment of sensitive skin are still under discussion. In the last years, studies on its epidemiology have been performed, showing a high prevalence and impact on quality of life.
Garlic is something that works best for me. Anytime I get a pimple or something I cut a slice n stick it with tape on it it burns a little as it's working on skin.. Try overnight it won't hurt the next day the pinple will be gone wolaaa!!!
Use 2 tbsp gram flour.. 2 tbsp sandalwood powder 1 tbsp multani mitti..1 tbsp coffe powder and 1 tbsp wild tumeric.. mix all together..and put in tight jar... And wash your face with this daily... U ll see visible changes after 2 week .
Mam aap home remedies ke itne against kyu hain?? Ab hum middle class logo ke pass itne paise nhi hote ki mehnge skin care routine follow kr sake to yahi home remedies hi humara sahara hain
I actually used lemons and it made my acne gone! But don't use lemons directly. Take 1tp- honey and 1tp-lemon juice or take lemon juice and same amount of water then apply it with a cotton ball or tissue then wait till it's dry then wash it with water or facewash. but maybe it's not for everyone's skin but it suprisingly it worked for me.
Do you soak it in water after cutting.. it releases yellow acidic toxic immediately.. so if you apply .. it's gonna burn .. also ..aloe has many variety.. wild isn't for face . You can try brands ..as per some influencers.. it works for some
